The experience begins with a scalp analysis, where they show you the condition of your scalp and make personalized recommendations if they think any add-ons would benefit you. The spa has one room that accommodates two people along with three private rooms, making it a great option for couples and friends up to a party of 5. We chose the 75-minute Gold Package, and it exceeded every expectation. My technician, Vickey, was absolutely phenomenal. She has magical hands and somehow knew exactly where all the tension was in my scalp and face. The head massage was incredibly soothing, and the mini facial was such a relaxing bonus. I also loved the neck and upper back massage, and I was pleasantly surprised that the package included a leg and foot massage, something I haven't experienced at other head spas. After the treatment, you're taken back up front where your feet are soaked in warm water with rose petals and ginger. Final scalp analysis a light blowout while sipping on a refreshing drink was the perfect ending to an already wonderful experience. I really appreciated the accommodations and the communication (Dustin, the husband, was very thorough with his explanations and quick to reply when I called the business to get more info! This was an experience that was more than I expected because they also had a special when I booked for a basic service! This was the special: "The one hour package that you have includes Scalp analysis, shoulder, neck, and face massage, organic shampoo, and conditioner, light blow dry. And the bonus add-on ‍ it's a special that we run every Tuesday through Wednesday." I came out feeling tremendously lifted and free and lightweight. I really wanted to love this experience -- and honestly, parts of it were beautiful and relaxing at first. This was my first time trying a head spa, and I came in excited after seeing so many calming videos online. The space itself is gorgeous, the owner was friendly, and the staff were kind and welcoming. The first 15 minutes felt peaceful and set the tone for what I expected to be a luxury, restorative treatment. Unfortunately, the service itself became uncomfortable for me. The massage pressure was extremely firm. I normally tolerate deep pressure well, but I was surprised that no one checked in to ask if the pressure was okay, which is something I'm used to during spa treatments. My main concern, though, was the scalp treatment. During this portion, my scalp was repeatedly scraped with fingernails rather than gently massaged. It became painful enough that I found myself holding my breath through parts of the session. By the end, my scalp felt raw and sensitive to the touch. When my scalp was examined afterward with the camera, there was significant redness visible, which confirmed how irritated it felt. I also struggled during the detangling and brushing portion. No detangler or softening product seemed to be used before brushing, and with already thin, fragile hair and some hair loss concerns, the process felt quite rough and uncomfortable. I left worried that I may have lost more hair rather than helped its health. There were also moments when the water temperature ran cool to lukewarm, which made me feel cold and pulled me out of the relaxation experience. I truly don't want to sound harsh because the environment and hospitality were lovely. However, given the premium price point, I expected a gentler, more customized and soothing treatment. I'm left wondering whether this was simply a technique mismatch or if head spas in general involve this level of scalp scraping and pressure. I came hoping for a luxury, healing experience for my hair and scalp, but instead found parts of it painful. I share this feedback respectfully because the space and team have great potential -- I would just encourage more pressure check-ins, gentler scalp handling, and additional care when detangling delicate hair. read more

I got the "December Holiday Glow" for $99 which included: Scalp analysis Deep shoulder, neck & face massage Mini facial Hot towel treatment Relaxing scalp massage Organic hair wash & deep hair conditioning Light blow dry Soothing mineral foot bath ( while you have your hair blow dried) Complimentary snack & drink (grapes and bottled water) My scalp was very dry so opted for a $20 additional scalp scrub. They provide a towel wrap, robe and slippers- the robes are not made for buxom ladies so next time I might just bring my own as you wear it in the main salon while you get your hair dried and I felt a bit... exposed, if you know what I mean. We left feeling extremely hopeful for Lavie Bella. They start you with a scalp analysis. They use a live camera that magnifies your scalp to identify what it is your scalp may need. Now this is where you start to appreciate them. Businesses do this thing where they have options to add more services to your initial service. This is called an upsell. But upsells aren't inherently bad, as they can present a customer with something that didn't realize they wanted/needed. We've all at one point needed convincing for something that was good for us. But what may be frowned upon is how businesses implement the upsell and how forceful their salesmanship is. Abby and Vicky, whom I call the scalp technicians, are the gentlest upsellers I've ever encountered. They show you what the camera sees, they let you know there's an available service, they move on. There's no shame, guilt, or verbally induced FOMO. And so we found ourselves adding a scalp treatment to our service. We did the couples gold package. There are a lot of potions and elements at play. Steam, water, hot towels, aromatherapy, sounds, and the softest hands this side of the mason dixon line. The toasty slippers were an accoutrement I've never experienced before. Once they slide them on you, you immediately want to buy some for your home. And once they remove them, you realize how thoughtful of a touch it was to add that to the service. We got to speak to the business owners after. It's run by a husband and wife who we felt cared deeply about their business. No shortcuts, Michelin level service, and personal care reveal that they live the motto "show don't tell." And when finding out that this was my wife's birthday, they kept us distracted with pleasant conversation while they procured candle, cake, and flame from the back room. This business is young and they're still working out the kinks, asking for feedback and going above and beyond for their first and arguably most important customers. But what I found was that the thing they needed no notes on was their level of care and attention. Very few places can make a someone proud to leave a review. But I want Lavie Bella to know that nothing (outside the window of me falling asleep during the amazing massage) went unnoticed. read more

Went in to this newer establishment hoping for a 5 star outcome like everyone else had. I didn't have a 5 star outcome. It was just ok. I've had better just down the street at a different location. It doesn't seem as high tech and good as others. Other locations use their own high end supplies. When I'm paying the amount of money I spent on it, my hair better be smooth, my mini facial better had not made my face sore (my face was burning after she washed it off, something was in the towel, it smelled nice but burned....twice). The massage hurt, even after I winched. And then the kicker that made it disappointing, she/they use hair stuff that I can get at target. They also use the same brushes on everyone. Why would I spend hundreds of dollars to have them use a product I have in my bathroom???? Then I handed her cash and she thought it was all tip. wtf? I just handed you payment, don't ask me for a card when I just paid you. To say I'm disappointed is the least.
