Theresa went out to the property (without me knowing) to take measurements. She was the person who did most of the communication with me. Nate had called once to follow up and let me know what his plan was. Though, they gave me a start date, they were one day late (no big deal for me, but worth mentioning). Theresa called to let me know of the delay. She let me know that the crew had received materials late and wanted to prepare (weld parts) at their warehouse, instead of taking up space at the property. Unprofessional. I just called for an estimate and spoke with Nate. During the call Nate said he was having trouble hearing me, and asked me to repeat my address three times so when he asked for fence measurements, I spoke up. I didn't yell, not even close but out of nowhere Nate says "I can tell this is not going right, call another fence company" then hung up the phone. My wall guy recommended Lavin Fence to me and we had it installed January of 2016. I asked Nate if he would come out to inspect the area because I wanted to go over the job with him. I wanted to make sure the fence would be straight, but he didn't want to and said it would be fine by the pictures he saw. It wasn't. Has a bow in the middle. We had other issues and the guy that came out was a good guy and did his best to make things right. The other issue didn't materialize until about a year later when I noticed the fence rolling up away from the tension rod. Apparently they missed lacing the tension rod and there was nothing to prevent it from raveling up when people naturally grab the fence to open it up. It is correctly laced up on the other gate that is also used regularly and it looks as good as new. I called and the lady and she said to send pictures of the gate. I never heard anything back. I tried again recently and have been completely ignored. I have left several messages with them and nothing. I am now forced to find a company that will fix their mess. I find it highly unprofessional of them to conduct business in this manner and cannot recommend their services. read more

Nate provided an estimate that needed to be tweaked to get a price we could live with. We reduced the scope and changed the design to get what would work for us. We had 150 feet of 40 year old wood fence that needed to be replaced. The fence was installed on top of a block wall with steel posts embedded in the wall. Things got off to slow start due to some vandalism with one of the employee's vehicles before he even got the fencing materials. That delayed the start one day but got going the next day. We had a cap on the top rail which caused some rework to meet the contract requirements. The installer was very meticulous in checking the alignment at every post and making any adjustments needed on the fence frame. This allowed the fence boards to be installed easily and fairly quickly. This required more time than originally thought it would take but the team stayed late the last day to complete the installation start the cleanup of the old fence. All in all, the fence is very nice and hope it will last many years in the future. Would definitely use Lavin Fence for other projets. read more
