We've owned our home for 5 years and have done a lot of projects, from a full pool build to smaller repairs, so I've worked with plenty of contractors. Because of that, my expectations are high. We decided to go with Juan and Raul for our patio, and I'm really glad we did. Their team showed up not just on time, but early on the day of demo and installation. They worked efficiently and completed everything in just one day, which honestly exceeded our expectations. What I appreciated most was how easy it was to communicate with both Juan and Raul. They were responsive, patient with my questions, and very open to making adjustments to fit exactly what we wanted. I never felt brushed off or rushed, which is rare. The workmanship turned out clean and solid. The structure feels sturdy, everything looks well-aligned, and the finish came out exactly how we envisioned. They did save some of the good posts and beams as I had asked. When installation came, they took my wood! They did not completely replaced the rotting fascia, as I was told they would during the sale. There were some unfinished points that were corrected after several calls. The shades I had were not able to be reused because they were too heavy for the aluminum so Wilfred volunteered to run to Home Depot to get some. But...when I asked for the receipt I was told it would be e mailed, which never happened. After several calls and e mails. i finally went to Home Depot myself and found out he had charged me about double. I sent a message with pictures but still no answer. I am a senior person who trusted and was grateful. Very disappointing.

They were all very professional, always on time, and handled any all issues that came up. The process was also a lot faster than we were told so they were well ahead of schedule. We had to accommodate a unique roofline and Eric helped figure it out, though it seems that the materials are best suited for a straight-forward, plug-and-play installation with minimal customization. The pricing was competitive. We opted to have six can lights, a ceiling fan (the fan was provided by us and they installed it), and two outlets installed. After signing the contract, the installation occurred roughly 4-6 weeks out due to their full installation schedule, so plan accordingly and book as soon as you feel comfortable if you know you want to go with them. The installation team (five workers total, led by Jesus) was quick, efficient, and respectful. They installed the cover in one day and left the area clean prior to departing. Here are a couple of minor "issues" we encountered... one post is not completely square/perpendicular to the nearby patio edge, so this is a bit more obvious to see, but not terrible. The covered outlets they installed were standard indoor style. I chose to replace them with GFCI outlets (cost me $40 total at Home Depot) since they are outdoors and one has a fountain plugged into it. I would recommend Paradise Patio Covers to friends and neighbors and would definitely use them again.

During the recent windstorm we forgot to retract the awning and it was damaged. I first called the original installer, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The first thing they told us was that the damage wouldn't be covered because we didn't retract it during the wind storm, and the customer service was extremely rude. It also reminded me how difficult it was working with them in the first place, they gave us the runaround for almost 6 months before the original installation. After that, I reached out to Where Shade Is Made, and the difference was night and day. I spoke directly with the owner, who assured me I would get a call Monday morning to schedule the repair. Sure enough, Monday morning I received a call from Jimmy their GM, and from that point on everything was smooth and professional. By the very next day our shade was repaired and working perfectly again. Even better, Jimmy let us know that the repair didn't require as much work as originally expected, which actually made the final cost lower than the quote. That kind of honesty and customer service is rare these days. Thank you Where Shade Is Made for the amazing service. I truly appreciate the professionalism and quick turnaround. I would absolutely recommend them to all my friends and family.

I was reminded of old adage "you get what you pay for" after hiring Irvine Fence back in December 2016. Irvine Fence was by far the most reasonably priced company I got a quote from - by far, actually. This should have raised a red flag for me at the time, but I had a friend who also used Irvine Fence, so I thought nothing of it. We had an approximate 70 foot vinyl white picket fence installed in our back yard at the edge of our slope. After heavy rain there was quite a bit of erosion on the hillside - which is obviously a natural occurrence. However because the fence was installed incorrectly, it was loose in the ground - when it should not have been. I hired a landscape contractor to fix the soil erosion and he was shocked how the fence was installed - now he's no fence expert, so I decided to get two separate opinions from other companies - both told me the same thing, that the fence was not installed correctly and had it been, it wouldn't be moving now even with the soil erosion. Before we found this issue out I recommended Irvine Fence to my parents who hired them and also spent several thousands of dollars on fencing. Long story short we needed to get the fence temporarily removed and reinstalled after stabilizing the slope, I called Jason at Irvine Fence who was our sales rep and never heard back after leaving multiple messages. I finally got the main number and spoke to the owner Eddie who told me two things: 1. It would take someone a month to come out and 2. That there was no issue with their installation because they follow the "protocol" of having a 2 foot concrete footing. Well we didn't end up having them "fix" the fence because of timing and because I got the sense that they were not being truthful to me. Unfortunately it turns out I was right. I was there when he fence was pulled out and the ONLY footing that was 2 feet deep, was where the gate was - and that area was the area that was not moving, because it actually was a 2 feet footing. The rest of the footings were about 18 inches or less. I am very disappointed by this and have lost faith in this company since Eddie, the owner, assured me 100% that all the footings they do are 2 feet - well that was clearly not true in this case. "If it's too good to be true, it probably is" I learned this the hard way, and was reminded that if someone charges significantly less than other contractors, there's always a reason and you WILL pay for it sooner than later. read more

Like many others, I turned to Yelp to find a contractor for our home improvement project. That's how I discovered Irvine Fence. After reading through several positive reviews, I decided to request an estimate from Eli for both my neighbor and myself. When I called, I let Eddie know that we needed the fence replaced urgently due to my neighbor's major home renovation. He promptly scheduled a same-day estimate. Eli came out and was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Throughout the project, he responded quickly to all of my questions and kept both my neighbor and me updated on the status every step of the way. Our fence was being installed over a small cement curb, and Eli worked directly with our homeowners association to ensure everything met their standards. He made multiple visits before and after the curb was built to confirm that the fence height remained within the HOA's limits. From the initial estimate to the final installation, communication and customer service were clear and consistent. The finished fence looks beautiful--clean, solid, and professionally done. Eli also provided individual quotes for me and my neighbor, clearly breaking down the shared and separate costs. These guys were terrific. They showed up when they wre suppposed to, gave the bid back quickly, and responded well to emails about questions (although occasionally it took a little prompting). But my fence went up quickly and efficiently on schedule. While there were a few quibbles about some random materials left around and some painting spots that needed touching up, there were several things that kept this as a 5-Star review (for me, who is usually a tough reviewer). First, their flexibilty in making last minute changes when i saw the fence completed (a bottom board installed, a flat cut on top instead of dogears, and lowering the fence 6") -- all without charging me extra. Second, their price was outstanding. I got two other bids and these folks big was clearly the best. Lastly, and probably most important for the 5-star rating, is that Eddie showed up at my house a week after the fence was completed, told me that, as sometimes happens, the knotholes blead thru the paint, and that wasn't acceptable to him. So he was going to send his men out the next day to add an extra layer of paint on the fence so it would look its best. Now that's impressive service! Steve B read more

Edwin and his crew fabricated and installed a 13-foot steel and redwood driveway gate for us. They came in the first day to set the posts, then weld up the gates the following day. I saw that one of the posts was set back 6 inches from where it should've been. I called Edwin that afternoon and explained the issue. He had a foreman from another job at my house within a half-hour to confirm. They reset and replaced the offending post the following morning, then returned that afternoon to weld the hinges and attach the wood face. All work was finished by mid-afternoon. The final installation was flawless...Edwin and his crew genuinely cared that I was happy with the final product. They had me inspect their work at each step, and insisted that we not even discuss payment until the day after their work was complete. The one mistake aside, I couldn't be happier with their customer service and workmanship. This company is really a class-act! read more

I had to replace a 215 foot long, ten-year old, wrought iron fence that had practically rusted out, separating my commercial property from the adjacent commercial property. After speaking with 3 other fence companies, I met Eddie at the property to discuss the project. Eddie suggested a vinyl replacement to avoid future rust problems with the landscape sprinklers. That seemed like a very good idea and his quote for the fence was not only competitive, it was actually less than what we had paid 10 years previously for the wrought iron fence. On the scheduled installation date Irvine Fence began removal of the old fence and pouring the fence post foundations. The fence was completed by the end of the next day and it looks great. Irvine Fence completely removed and disposed of the old fence and left the grounds immaculate. I would highly recommend Irvine Fence for any residential or commercial fencing project. I gathered several quotes for a vinyl fence for the slope and flat section of my residence. The quotes were all fairly close, but I chose Irvine Fence because of their follow up and professionalism. Abraham handled the deal, arriving at my property on time as scheduled. He carefully measured and gave me an accurate drawing of my requests. He followed that with a detailed quote, including performance time, materials, and costs. I was able to add a gate later for a nominal fee. Irvine Fence really shined when the workers arrived. They stayed on task the whole day, despite 101 degree weather. They did a very professional installation in the one day allotted. Aligning the slope portion is a little tricky, but they delivered. Worked with Eddie to add fencing all around my home. He was courteous and clear about the work to be done. Pricing was much less than any other quotes. We set a time to do the work. His crew showed up promptly at the set time and went to work. I asked if they would be careful around some flowers and plants and they took the time to work around the gardening. The fence went up in just a day. They cleaned all debris and left the yard spotless. A member of the crew walked the entire fence line with me before they left to be sure I was satisfied with the work. A few days later I noted that a gate post had come loose. I contacted Eddie and he immediately sent a crew to repair. Overall I have been really pleased with the quality of work, the responsiveness of Eddie, the care taken by the crew and the great pricing. Eddie and his crew (Irvine Fence) replaced a 116 foot section of an old wooden fence with a vinyl fence along my property line. The pricing offered by Irvine Fence was exceptional. Much lower than any of the many other quotations I had obtained. Eddie also worked with me very patiently during the lengthy negotiations I had with my neighbor, providing alternate quotations for numerous fencing products. The finished fence looks absolutely great. The quality of work is simply impeccable. The work crew was very professional and accommodating and were willing to comply with some last minute changes requested by my neighbor, even though it meant having to change some stuff they had already completed. We contacted three fence companies requesting a quotation for approximately 25 ft of glass wall fencing. One company replied the project was too small for them to submit a competitive bid. A second company 'high-bid' the project in excess of $500.00/linear foot, again I believe because they were not interested in the size of the project. Irvine Fence Company provided a fair, competitive bid and completed the job in a timely, professional manner. They expedited the delivery of the glass panels and used portions of the old wrought-iron panels to jury-rigg a suitable pet containment between the installation of the posts and delivery of the glass panels. Their people were very efficient and thoroughly cleaned up the area when they finished. I have no reservations about recommending Irvine Fence to other prospective costumers. read more

I had a great experience with Irvine Fencing. The work was completed professionally, and the crew did a great job with the installation. Albert was very responsive throughout the process and was always available whenever I had questions. During the installation, an unexpected issue came up when a worker accidentally hit an underground water pipe that hadn't been properly marked by the city. These things can happen during excavation, and what impressed me was how quickly Albert stepped in and had the issue fixed on the spot with minimal delay. I recently had a wood fence and five gates replaced by vinyl on my rental property. Freddie was my contact and the estimate was comparable to other estimates that I had received. The big difference is that Irvine did not require a percentage before they began the work like others did. From the beginning to the end, it went like clockwork, excellent work, courteous clean workmanship, They took away all the old fence and installed this beautiful vinyl replacement in less time that expected. Eddie and Jose did a great job, I had an old wooden fence blow down. They came out gave a very professional quote on the spot the only company out of the three I contacted that was able to give me a written quote on the spot all the others emailed quotes the following day. They also ended up being the lowest priced although all three came in pretty close to each other. The crew worked hard and fast built a quality fence and amazingly I think my yard was actually cleaner after they left than it was before the fence blew over. Both Eddie and Jose followed up with me both during and after the job to make sure I completely satisfied. If I ever need another fence or know someone who does Irvine Fence will be my goto guys! Irvine Fence is great.... Bryan came out to give us a quote and provided us with their Contractors License, Certificate of Liability Insurance which reassured us that they where a reliable company. Eddie the owner came out to help with some problems with the elevation of the yard. We wanted the fence to be straight . Eddie called the manufacture and they came up with a resolution to the problem. He took extra time to help solve the problem and make the fence look good. We had a thirty year-old fence that was on its last legs. Eddie and his crew came, saw and conquered the many hurdles that our property posed for them. They removed the old fence, neatly carted it off for disposal, put in the all-new red cedar ("Wrightwood") and set it in the concrete that we specified. Finally, they installed new gates and new hardware. The job was done right, on time and on budget. The installers even asked one of my relatives who was checking out the work if she would be interested in renting one of our units. Wow! Now that's customer service! Irvine Fence did an excellent job! Brian Soria said he and crew would be at our house at 7:30 a.m. and they were! The crew was professional and took down a 25 year old wooden fence and had to deal with roots between our fence line and our neighbors. And a slope. No damage to any trees or plants! They cleaned all the mud spots off of the fence and left our yards immaculate with no debris and finished the job in one day! This was our second experience with Irvine Fence. January 2019 our neighbors contracted with Irvine Fence and we were so impressed that we went with Irvine Fence agan! Price was right! I highly recommend Irvine Fence. So impressed with this company! Everyone we worked with was so professional; from the first guy that came to give the bid, to the crew that put the fence up, to the owner who emailed us to make sure we were satisfied with the fence. They're prices were very reasonable and installation was crazy quick, over 300 feet of fence and 3 gates done in one day! The crew literally cleaned up EVERYTHING when they were done, even netted our pool! You would have never even known that they had installed a fence that day, they left the backyard so clean! I had called a couple of fence companies and Irvine Fence was the best quote and seemed to be the most professional. They came out on time did the measurements and walked the project with me and explained the process. Once I approved the proposal, they put me on the schedule and the crew was there right on time. The foreman verified the work and the crew got started. They were done in one day, got rid of the old fence and leveled all the dirt and cleaned up like they weren't even there. Visited the showroom and they showed us several samples, indoors and outdoors, and were honest about shortages and rising pricing during Covid. We worked with Rudy to get our fencing done. We have a complicated backyard with slopes, new construction and at the time, incomplete construction where we planned to put some fencing. Rudy managed it all and even came out twice to make sure that final measurements were accurate. He coordinated the team on the day they arrived and they installed roughly 250 lineal feet of vinyl, chain link, and gates. It only took 2 days. I am impressed with the process and seamless communication with him. He's on point, professional and willing to work with clients for discounted pricing. The quoting process, the front office, the scheduling team, and the actual installation crew all seemed entirely disconnected from one another. The left hand never knew what the right hand was doing, which meant I had to constantly chase them down and act as my own project manager just to keep things moving. The install crew left a safety gap on the right side of the fence. Getting an already disjointed and unresponsive front office to schedule a crew to come back and fix the gap was an exhausting exercise. I wouldn't recommend them unless you want to manage every single detail yourself, find a more responsive contractor.

My neighbors recommended them to me based on competitive costs, quality of service, and quick turnaround. Gerardo and team did a great job with a single day turnaround! The second job involved installing a modern alternating horizontal white vinyl fence in my backyard and also another full privacy horizontal gate in the middle of my backyard. It was really easy to schedule an appointment and George was onsite to review my requirements. He's extremely knowledgeable and provides various options to accomplish the job so that we can have a fully enclosed fence that connects to one side of my house towards one of the backyard doors. This installation includes two separate gates that includes a latch with an option to add a pad lock to help secure in place. After paying my deposit, another follow-up visit was made to take final measurements which was helpful. On the first day of installation, we encountered some challenges where there's an existing drainage pipe after a demo of small piece of cement on the pathway. Jose and team reach out to me and provided some alternative solutions that can still get the job done. This was a great pivot and everything still turned out great and they were able to work around existing sprinkler setup. They worked extremely hard, quality work, and turned everything around within two days. Thanks guys for a great job! Definitely will reach out to K Star again for future projects! Both the contractor overseeing the job and the worker were unprofessional throughout the project. The quality of workmanship is poor and not at all what we paid for. The fence has visible gaps and holes, scratches, and exposed cut lines, making it look unfinished and sloppy. More concerning, they attached our fence directly to our neighbor's house without permission, which is illegal and a violation of property and trespassing laws. This has understandably upset our neighbor and put us in a very difficult position. When we raised this issue, the company told us they would not fix it and stated that "this is how they do their work." This is not stated anywhere in our contract and is a clear breach of the agreement. There were also serious safety and cleanliness issues. The person in charge of the job arrived smelling strongly of alcohol, which immediately raised concerns about professionalism and safety. Additionally, razor blades were left in our yard, and a saw blade was left in our neighbor's yard. Our neighbor has small children, making this an extremely dangerous and unacceptable safety hazard. They also left behind scraps, vinyl pieces, and debris scattered throughout our yard. The job site was left messy and unsafe, with no regard for homeowners or neighboring families. Despite multiple attempts to resolve these issues, the company has refused to correct the work. We are now being forced to hire and pay another contractor to fix their mistakes. This has been a costly, frustrating, and upsetting experience. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company to look elsewhere, especially if you value safety, quality workmanship, professionalism, and adherence to legal and contractual standards.
