Giovanni is a pleasure to do business with. He helped me to repair 2 6ft sections of an old vinyl fence with a post that got damaged/broken by the recent strong wind event. His bid is price competitive with 3 others that I got, albeit not the lowest one. However, I chose OC Iron and Vinyl because they proposed to replace the 2 panels with new, not just repairs. What also pushed them over the top is Giovanni willingness to reinforce other "loose" panels with metal brackets and bolts FREE of charge for me. He's also flexible with scheduling 2 days earlier despite his crew having an emergency job in LA to get done. Giovanni completed the repairs within ONE day, much to my tenants' delight for having privacy restored. I will use Giovanni's services again to repair some of the posts in this fence in the near future and would recommend his services to everyone. read more

Our metal gate has been rubbing since we bought our house but got to the point where it couldn't even be closed anymore. We needed it to be fixed/re-adjusted. We contacted OC Iron and Vinyl and they got back to us right away with a very reasonable estimate and were able to come out very soon after. When they guys came they were very knowledgeable and listened to our needs/concerns. They were able to fix the gate and now it closes and latches like a dream. I contacted Omar who is obviously doing another side of the business working on off-road projects and fabrication. Omar bid on the work I wanted done and I agreed to move forward. I was going to spend over 2k on custom fabrication work. He informed me that he had another truck in the garage and to bring it the following week to which I agreed. I contacted him 3 days before to confirm the day of drop off and then contacted him a day before to get an exact time so I could drive over an hour to get there. Omar never responded to texts or messages after I texted him a day before drop off. I wasn't going to drive that far and have him say he now couldn't do the work. As the other review mentioned this is poor business practices. Providing a bid and not responding or ignoring the customer is still part of doing business. Who cares if the customer didn't hire you to do the job? Part of the rating here on Yelp is to share experiences on how we interacted with the business from start to finish not just when you "hire" them. If a business can't act ethical enough before hiring them, why would you even bother getting work done by them? I would not recommend this business. I would hate to imagine actually dropping off my truck and waiting for work to actually be done. I would give this business one star based on the bid amount being low, but who knows how the quality of work would have been or even how long it would have taken. I guess you get what you pay for. Now I'm going with a highly rated fabricator who actually listens to what you need done and schedules you in and states an exact time/day to come in. This fabricator is booked for months due to dedicating one job at a time. Lastly, check out other review sites where Omar leaves a stellar review for Giovanni and OC Iron Works. I contacted OC Iron and Vinyl for an estimate in the morning and they came out later that afternoon to see what was going to be needed to fix our 15 year old gate.
