Husband bought me a $100 gift card for my birthday in March 2022 (with receipts). I just got around to using it and when I made an appointment I was told I can no longer use it. The card didn't have an expiration date written on it anywhere. As a business owner myself who personally handles gift cards/certificates, LEGALLY they are not allowed to expire until after 5 years. Such a clean, modern establishment with the friendliest, most accommodating staff I have encountered in any industry. I read a review here before scheduling that said appointments are difficult to snag, but that is only because of the sheer number of RETURNING patrons. People love the work ethic and results so much that they are willing to schedule weeks, months in advance to secure a spot. My experience: I had an appointment (first time) scheduled several weeks in advance, and my wait was virtually non-existent. Just call the shop ahead and make sure they are ready for you. Helen was such a fun conversationalist, insanely personable, and down to earth. Nails: I requested a trendy nail art with a picture from Instagram, but with almond nails and more colors. I have been to MULTIPLE nail salons in Medina and given each a fair amount of appointments to "prove" themselves. I was starting to lose hope that I would ever find one worth the money, that is until I gave Lavish Beauty Lounge a chance. I won't go anywhere else. At Lavish, I never feel rushed, I have yet to break/chip a nail, and I have never walked out with bloody cuticles, (ALL have been issues for me at other salons in Medina.) The girl at the front desk is just evil. i Had an appointment four years ago for my wedding. She cancelled my manicure for no reason. I found out after my pedicure and had to scramble to get somewhere to get my nails done for my wedding the next day! When I asked her why she did it she had no answer. I had been going to Lynda who is fabulous for YEARS. I followed her from salon to salon. Top notch nail tech/woman/friend. Fast forward to today. I called to make a pedicure appointment, four years had passed and I thought maybe that evil spawn had found a new business to ruin. Nope! Shes there, she answers, finds out it's me, won't even book an appointment unless I pay first, I agreed. Went out to my car to get my credit card and she said she was too busy to book my appointment and would call me back, I called back in 5 hours, she said her computer was broke she would call me back. She did, and yes the computer went down again only after her telling me that Lynda had no appointments this month or next month and if I was traveling I couldn't come there for two weeks. (I was going camping in Ohio). Then yes, you guessed it, the computer broke again Before I could book an appointment for three months from now. I asked to speak to the owners and she said they were busy and couldn't take the call. After asking around, I'm not the only one she has tormented. So sad cause this place could be better, she is taking money from not only the company but also the nail techs. I hope they realize what she is doing before it's too late. Their reputation is on the line. I urge you to go elsewhere. There Is a nail salon on every corner --without a bully booking the appointments. read more

Got a dip by tommy. Honestly it was gorgeously done, but it took so long and was so expensive. My apt was at 2:30 and i didn't leave until 4:50. I didn't even get taken back to start soaking my nails until 2:55. Facility was beautiful, tommy was very nice. But it normally takes me an hour in a half tops elsewhere. It also came out to $80 for a dip. I was in such a rush and annoyed so i payed without questioning it. I got an emailed receipt and was charged $40 for the dip, $20 for gel polish add on?, and $15 for removal of previous dip. I emailed back asking what the $20 was for and haven't heard back. And $15 seems pretty ridiculous for removal. Like i said though, his service outcome was amazing, but the 3 stars is for the length of time and the price. I'm all about paying for my results, but $80 is a bit absurd when i pay $43 with tax normally for the same thing. Really hope these last long and its worth the price. read more

Went here for the first time to get a full set of acrylics and a pedi for my sister's wedding. The staff was very friendly. I originally was undecided with what I wanted. I chose a full set but before I asked the lady at the front desk how much a "full set of acrylic nails with gel polish on them" would cost and I was told $55.00. So I agreed! My full set was started at 3:45 and I didn't get out of the chair until 5:15. No time for a pedi before I had to leave for work. I go to check out and I am told my total is $81.00!!!! I didn't have time to argue. Later, asked my sister to retrieve my receipt for me. I was charged $10 extra dollars for 4 nails that was a glitter polish. The receipt said "rhinestone accessory" and "3D art" when there were no rhinestones or 3D art on my nails AT ALL. I was also charged another $10 or $15 for a exfoliating cream that was applied to my hands at the end for maybe a minute. I feel that as a customer I should be told what is going to cost extra and what is not because I wouldn't have gotten any of what I did done. Ridiculous. My nails look great but I'm very upset with the outcome of being there. I will probably take my money to my normal salon where I can get a gel/mani pedi for the same amount of money with the same result. Beautiful salon, poor communication, way over priced. ALSO: When I posted this review on their Facebook page, the owner commented about how I was "an ignorant and uneducated young lady and that I was rude". DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS HERE. This place is incredible and fills a much needed gap in the nail salon marketplace in this area. It's clean. Everyone is friendly and not pushy at all, never trying to upgrade your service or sell you additional services. Every nail tech is super friendly and knowledgeable and GOOD! Polish selection is great. They have cosmetics and hair product also. I will be diving here from Bath to have my nails done without question. No where else compares! Happy with our service and we like the atmosphere. However, we were quoted $40 for a gel manicure which was somewhat reasonable. Both my Sil and I got an accent nail done, it was just glitter polish on top of the original color. They charged us $8 per nail we got glitter on. So it raised our bill over $20. First of all they never mentioned it was an additional cost for an accent nail, plus it was just glitter polish on one nail. $$60 gel polish. We are not happy about this. read more

This place was better when Henry was there. Yes it is clean, yes they do a good job, but you can get the same service for a lot cheaper at almost any other nail salon. They are always 20-30 minutes late taking me for my appointment. The owner, Helen, is rude and not as great as she thinks at nails. She also likes to trash talk other salons which I think is very unprofessional. If you want to spend double for the same service you can get almost anywhere else, then this is for you. read more
