I saw bad reviews on this place and was reluctant to go. I normally go to Middleburg Heights to get my pedicures but their service has declined incredibly since the pandemic. Tried Vega when all other nail salons were booked and boy am I glad I did!!! Ty did my toes and he did an amazing job, he also has great personality with a sense of humor. This has been a lot of thought to leave a one star. I have had okay service here before... but this last time really was beyond bad. We did have appointments, we were NOT walk ins. We arrive 10 minutes early and we're ready to go when they called us back for our pedicures. My friend got to soak for about 2-3 minutes only. We paid for the callus treatment, my friend has a through job... my lady started me late (I soaked for a good 20-30 minutes... which I didn't mind...but the rest of my time was RUSHED) They dropped utensils on the floor and cleaned them in our foot baths. She barely took the calluses off my foot and only did the bottoms.... She left the sides flaky. My hot towels were burning and lasted about 20 seconds before she moved on rushed. My friend ended up with an infected big toe. My feet have never looked worse and my polish wasn't good. When I was getting polished another lady started yelling and then took over and they used a different color. I paid early because they were rushing us out (they closed at 7.... We were out the door at 6:40... so they still had plenty of tim). . Both of us are still having issues with our feet from this visit. read more

I have been at Vega several times for pedicures. It's convenient. The owner is usually less than pleasant. Just crabby. I opted for the less than premium service and he didn't like my choice. Whether here nor there, he stopped my service and started servicing another customer. Said he'd let the polish dry and come back for a top cop. I still had dirt under my big toenail! His wife finished me up. Here's the kicker, using his callous remover for the bottom of my feet, he sanded the side of my foot. Not paying attention. The injury later turned into an infection that required medical attention. The injury is still healing and I'm not out of the woods yet. I thought of going up and talking to him, but he (the owner) has been less than pleasant many times in the past. I give this a 1 due to this issue and prior experiences. read more

Me and my friend decided we wanted to get our nails done. We are two teen girls. We booked an appointment for a full set and a fill. He totally messed up our appointment thought it was only one of us. I xalled and asked prices.. full set- 32 fill-22. we get there i sit down my friend looks at gel polish.. she brings it over to me to see the colors he yells at her for "distracting" me. As a client i believe i can NOT be distracted as i'm paying for the service to be done. I have thin nails/ nail beds. he starts to file my nails and it starts to hurt so naturally i pull my hand away, and he starts full on screaming at me about how it's not his fault it hurts and how it's my fault my nails are thin, as well as bashing my original nail tec. my sister friend also has gotten smacked from pulling her hand away just like i did. my friend wanted longer nails, the lady tells her that she needs gel or else they will break we came with 68$ for regular polish and what we needed done. therefore the girl says my friend needs gel and that she will give us a discount and that they don't need a tip. i was sitting in the chair as my nails are drying and he starts doing a mom and daughter pedicure putting the sanitized tools on the BARE GROUND, very unprofessional! They ended up trying to charge me 15$ extra for gel for my friend and 36$ for a full set for me. Even tho we didn't want gel and he told us 32 and 22. we ended up giving them the whole 68$ we had because it felt like we had no other option, and that they were in control. we ended up going to pay the guy (i believe the owner) and the girl start having a full on argument while there's 4 people waiting to be taken into a chair. this is suppose to be a relaxing experience and it wasnt close to that at all. totally embarrassed us about the money situation witch wasnt our fault at all. should not have even paid at that point. as well as he touched MY drink. but when he was trying to tell my friend she was distracting me he was on the phone with a woman talking and taking pictures of one another. im going to try to insert the picture of the sanitized nail tools on the floor before even using them on the client. read more

The lady was very nice but left my nails very very lumpy. As my nails were drying another lady came and shoved my hand in further leaving my polish messed up for bumping into the legs of the table. read more

Horrible experience. My mom spent a lot of $$ for the dip nails. The employee didn't tell her dip makes your nails much darker than the color in the jar. There was absolutely no color wheel. When she said this isn't the color I thought it was going to be, he never even said sorry. My mom walked out of the nail salon very unhappy and won't be coming back. ALSO- When I went there months ago, one of the employees cut deep into the sides of my big toes- leading to ingrown toe nails on both feet. I was IN SO MUCH PAIN. Save yourself money and trouble. It was my first visit. On Saturday morning, I walked in and was immediately offered a chair. The service was friendly and efficient. The place was clean and had some nice classical music, which was very soothing. The price of the pedicure was reasonable at $36. My only wish was that the massage part was a bit longer with firmer pressure but will definitely return as overall I felt welcomed and comfortable. read more

It is SO CLEAN here, I'm so glad they came to Medina! The foot tubs had liners, the tools were in individual sterile packages, and the stations were spotless. I thought I found a gem with this place. Happy with the pricing and service although no one spoke to you. The last time I went they had me sitting with foil on my nails for one hour while I watched others go in and out. I continued to say I didn't care who polished my nails yet I still sat! Finally after I removed the foil myself the owner decided to help and was blaming me for not having an appointment! Everyone there was a walk in! No apology or anything for what happened. Excellent service. New salon and does a great job! Just as good as some of the higher price salons in town. Not a lot of frills, but Their work is beautiful and that's what matters. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that I wish they had a bigger selection of OPI colors or carried China Glaze.
