All of the stylists have worked here for years, and they have various assistants and apprentices who are quick to get you water/Diet Coke/etc. My sister has been going to Andrea at Dyson for years (for hair extensions, short pixie cuts, bold reds, blonds, dark hair - you name it she's done it). Andrea is Awesome! I went to Andrea for some bright reds scattered throughout a dark brown over all color. We weren't 100% happy with the first shade of red (a little too pink) so Andrea did it again, seamlessly. She didn't make a big deal out of it, and she was sure I left the salon feeling like a million bucks. It was around $150, and worth every penny. I Love Becca! I scheduled a cut/color with Becca because Andrea was on maternity leave. Becca is freaking hilarious, and she is so so talented! I have extremely fine/lifeless hair, and the cut she gaves me adds volume and body to my hair. She also did a great dark to caramel ombre on my hair. A cut and color was $110. TL;DR: If you're looking for a new salon, go to Dyson.

Greg scheduled me last minute since I was leaving the mainland headed back to Hawaii in the next couple weeks. 2.) Greg is incredibly kind and funny, there was never any awkward silence. (You know how you run out of small talk and it just falls flat? None of that!) Not only is Greg that way but all of the stylists that I talked to were all so wonderful. 3.) My hair turned out AMAZING. I came in with some long, faded, brassy/blonde and wanted a color melt with white ends and a root shadow. It's clear we're operating from fundamentally different premises. maybe that's the root of the problem here. Your position is that there's nothing wrong with the haircut itself and that I don't know how to style it. ok, I'll bite. for the sake of argument, let's assume that's true.... It still doesn't change the fact that this is objectively not the haircut I asked for or agreed to receive. on that basis alone, I am owed a refund due to service not as described. it doesn't matter if u think u can "make it better". improving something bad doesn't make it good, just makes it less bad. if you had any ground (or documentation) to stand on, u wouldn't have lost the case. having a "policy" does not mean you can do whatever you want. There must be exceptions for certain cases when mistakes are made. and you need to have discernment to know the difference from when someone's abusing the system. but that requires competency (in your field and in life), humility, and good faith. when a customer has been wronged, the burden should never fall on them to figure out a resolution that works for the business. It should be the other way around. why do i even have to explain this. If I were in your position, I would be mortified to hear a customer had this experience. my priority would be to understand what would make the situation right for them and do everything reasonably possible to make that happen. I personally would have offered a refund AND an adjustment. But ironically, that means taking accountability... fortunately for all of us, u have proven it yourself that you have never been capable of this (just a quick search to see how you respond to every bad review on here and Google) and to assume premeditation/malice is a really disappointing take on this situation and makes zero sense. why or how on earth would i plan to have a bad haircut? but if that's what were doing, i can do the same.... maybe you offer blow-outs for plausible deniability on haircuts gone wrong? maybe i wasn't shown the back on purpose so i wouldn't notice? i agree there are no winners or losers here, because at the end of the day i'd rather have my hair than a refund. but because i was so polite throughout the situation, you took advantage and at the end basically shoo'd me away & expected no consequence. the last text message you sent me speaks for itself. even a stranger was upset for me. by the way... Waited until 3:10, left a note and left, after turning off the lights and closing the door. I have since received an email from my stylist indicating she texted me that she would be late. I didn't receive the text and with my dinner plans, didn't have a choice but to run home and wash and style my own hair. I had such hope for this place........totally disappointing!!

This salon were open to working with my current hand tied for now, gave fabulous highlights and lowlights to create a beautiful brighter overall look, and we are discussing our future plans for custom ordering our 30" or more length 6 months or so down the line when it is finally time to retire my Dakota London set. Other salons only go to 24", and I am not willing to chop 6" or more after all this work. Ottalaus has been a dream find. Depending on how my employment hunt goes, perhaps I will allow my stylist to play in the fantasy colors, but we will stay "normal" blonde for now.

Lizzie gave me an outstanding Deva cut (cut dry, then washed, then refined again). She has fantastic chickens to listen to outside. I did nothing with my hair besides run my fingers through it, and it still looks excellent -- curly, but put together. When I first went to her, I had just discovered the Curly Girl method/book -- but I was struggling on my own. Lizzie taught me to understand my texture and work with it. She helped me find the right products and cut, which translated to minimal styling time and lots of compliments! She sells DevaCurl products, but you are not pressured to buy anything. I would advise you try the products and techniques she suggests- you may find it a game changer, as I did. Lizzie works from her home, which is a nice change from a pretentious salon and really keeps the prices reasonable. I would recommend her to anyone, but particularly frizzies like me who struggle to 'tame' their manes. Her client pics and you'll notice they are all different- we don't all leave the salon with the same trendy haircut. This is the mark of a great, client-focused stylist. I highly recommend her!
