I absolutely love this nail bar. It's always so so clean, relaxing, and quiet. All the ladies who work there are extremely professional. I had Kimmy do my nails (nexgen) on my natural nails and she did an incredible job. She was attentive and wanted to ensure that I liked my nails so she communicated every step to me and helped me pick colors/styles. I was completely overcharged by this place. I have been going here for 5 years. I got nexgen dip NO TIPS and asked for a french design. On the website the dip costs $40 and I thought a design would cost an extra $5. They charged me $55 without tip. I ended up paying $63. The lady who did my nails took an hour and half and the manager had to come in and fix her mistakes on my nails multiple times. They have a habit of cutting you with tools (most likely to get you to not come back) . I had to tell Kimmy to change the file on the dremel before using it on my nails because it's not sanitary to use the same one for every customer. Rightfully so because she cut me several times. I'm going to start out by saying that I LOVE this place! I'm a bit of a germaphobe, so I was immediately taken away by the ambiance and cleanliness of this salon. Since my nails are really weak and brittle, I always get the nexgen dip acrylic because it helps them grow pretty long without breaking. My nails also naturally have a curve, which I'm not too fond of -- but somehow my nail tech, Eva, managed to make them look like perfectly flat little squares! It's so cute and really hard to find someone that can give me that shape. This salon also has complimentary drinks, 27 pedi chairs, and a huge selection of gel polishes, regular polish, and acrylic powders! My go-to nail salon !! This place is super clean on the inside, in fact it feels pretty luxurious when you walk in (I like the crystal chandeliers). Here's what else I love about this place: 1. They have every color on a nail chip so you don't have to pick your color off of a wall of neverending nail polish bottles. Pic attached for reference ;) 2. They multi-task! They'll get your manicure done at the same time as your pedicure, sometimes with 2-3 people working on you at once. Great for those who don't want to spend hours getting their nails done. 3. The prices! Normally when I go get a pedicure somewhere, I opt for the cheapest or the 2nd cheapest pedicure because the others are too expensive... at this place I always get a top-tier pedicure for around $45 (minus the tip). The prices just can't be beat! 4. Overall atmosphere. I've never been in here where it's just slammed with people, and to me that's a good thing. If you're too busy, just say you're busy. Keeping a customer waiting in a chair for an hour is unacceptable. Huge language barrier .... A week after the above incident and review post, I decided to give them another chance. After all, they are clean and in a great location. I made sure I arrived right when it opened. The woman remembered me and said she was glad I came back. I ordered a medi/pedi and was asked to sign in and sit down. After 20 minutes, another customer arrived and more staff. The customer also ordered a medi/pedi but was serviced with 2 ladies (1 working nails, the other with the pedicure). All the while, I was only worked on by 1 lady. Once the 1 lady was finished with my feet, she started on my gel nails. I'm not sure and don't understand why only one lady would service me when there was only one other customer in the salon. When asked, she said, yeah she'll do your nails. And muttered something in her language. And after only 5 days, my "gel" is chipping and literally peeling off. I am very disappointed when given another chance to make good on poor service, they fail to impress with yet again another lost customer. read more

Spend $40 on a dip manicure elsewhere. She rushed through even though there wasn't a wait or anything. When I went to wash my hands, I noticed there was dried dip all over my cuticles and fingers/skin. I asked her to remove it, but she tried to argue and say it was just dry skin. I told her no, it was definitely powder. Then she just trimmed off pieces of skin with powder on them instead of using acetone. Very unhappy! read more

I have been a regular customer of this nail spa for the last 6 months. My experience has been quite pleasant until the last weekend. The receptionist was so disrespectful and dishonest. I came in around 3 pm on Saturday and was told by the receptionist that the wait for a gel manicure will be 20 mins. I picked out a color and waited for my turn. 20 mins passed by and I asked her again how much longer I would have to wait, she said 25-30 mins. I reminded her that she told me it would be 20 mins when I walked in. She was like "yea, I know, but" and looked around the store (I guess to show me how busy the store was) and then stopped. And then a nail tech came from the back and told me the wait would properly an hour. I told her I would leave because I didn't have time. She was still nice and said she could take an appointment for me for another day. I put down an appointment for 10:30 am on the next day. On Sunday I came to the store at 10:30 for my appointment, only to recognize that the store HAVE NOT even opened for the day! Ridiculous! Why did she manage to take my appointment when she knew that the store would NOT be opened??? I called the store later & asked to talk to the owner. The same receptionist picked up the phone and told me the owner was not there. I called four times in total and each time the same receptionist told me another time that I can reach the owner. I asked her to tell the owner to call me back in the 5th phone call. It has been 3 days and I haven't heard anything. So either the receptionist did not pass on my request or the owner just didn't care. Very disappointed indeed and I won't be back. Also, I think the store might be re-using the opened water bottles. I saw a guy collected a bunch of half-finished bottles and started to refill them. They often offer to open the bottle for you, I used to think that's such a nice gesture until I saw what that guy did ... I'm not 100% sure because I didn't ask, but that's my suspicion. read more

I choose Lavish because of the location rather than Yelp ratings, which is a first for me. I arrived 15 minutes after opening on a Saturday morning. Atmosphere: Very clean and bright, but I was greeted immediately by a guy who was not friendly. Instead of a polish wall, Lavish offered color samples on plastic nails, which I liked. I told the guy my pedi service and polish color choices, and was immediately seated at one of the pedi chairs. I was greeted by two friendly ladies at the pedi chair (attitudes vastly different than the guy at the front counter) and was offered something to drink. Since the salon just opened for the day, it was still empty, quiet, and relaxing. Hygiene: Lavish uses a plastic liner for the water bowl and sealed tools, which are all pluses for hygiene. Criticisms of my experience: 1. The guy did not tell the ladies my services, so I was asked again which pedi I would like to have. Still have no clue as to why the guy was up front greeting customers. 2. Vivian was about to start my pedi and asked me about the color. Again, I told the guy my color choice. We looked up and he was dragging his feet with my color in his hand. 3. I choose the Essential Pedi ($29) because it included callous removal while the basic service ($24) did not. I felt that Vivian could have perhaps spent a little more time on the callous removal and work on my heels. 4. The Essential Pedi also includes a light lotion massage. I would not call this service a massage rather than lotion was just smeared on my legs with nothing resembling a massage. 5. This salon does not accept American Express. Vivian noticed my unruly eyebrows during my pedi service and offered to wax by brows, which I accepted for an additional $8. Vivian did a great job with my brows, and I would actually give the brow wax service a 4-star review for the work and value. Vivian's pedi service was good, nothing fantastic, but no huge issues or disappointments either. The salon is clean and staff, with the exception of the one guy, is friendly. I did not find the prices to be too outrageous for the service offered. I would try them again. read more
