I first want to say to any reader...I only write reviews when I feel like they are absolutely necessary and fair. People have bad days, they make mistakes, and I'm willing to let a lot go. But there's a line and when that line is crossed- the public deserves to know what they are spending their hard earned money on.....This review is solely about the owner, Hannah. Every employee I interacted with seemed friendly enough. My experience at this nail salon was something I have never experienced before, in any customer service scenario. We were there for my sisters wedding so I couldn't walk out. I payed and left. Both of us left unsatisfied with our nails and her toes. Plus my poor sister who hated both her nails and toes was really sad and disappointed. Carri was so excited to show me how cool this place was and how awesome Hannah was....well sadly she was in for a surprise. My sister (Carri) and I went here to get our nails and toes done for her wedding about a week ago. My sister told me we had to go here because "this is the best place in town, and I love the owner- she does the best pink and whites". We walk in (my sister made us both appointments nails and toes) the owner Hannah and her staff don't acknowledge us for several minutes (fine). My sister says "Hi Hannah" being friendly, trying to spark conversation and obviously excited to get fancy for her wedding (no response from Hannah) Okay. Carri says several things that are directly ignored. This is not a busy, noisy, salon...she heard and directly ignored Carri. Hannah abruptly asks (still not responding to anything Carri said) "Do you have an Appointment" to which Carri responds "Yes, for my sister and I remember my weddings this weekend" More rude convo...Hannah rolls her eyes, grunts and points to two seats for us to sit in. This was the first big red flag.I couldn't even believe what just happened. Carri is so nice and friendly and genuinely kind. I could not believe Hannah would act that way to any customer let alone one that was being externally nice and patient. Whatever. Next we sit for pedis. Carri gets started first. We had two pictures of what we wanted but we couldn't find the right colors. Side note, it was extremely difficult to find any color because they have 10 different giant spools of fake painted nails and MOST of the colors they don't have. Color choosing there is a nightmare. Anyway, a tiny bit of assistance from Hannah would have went a long way. She offered no help, only negative energy, annoyed stares, and huffing and puffing. Sensing her frustrations we quickly chose a color that wasn't exactly right... then Hannah grabbed the wrong color (one we didn't chose) and painted Carri's toes...Carri and I were talking and didn't see until she was finished. I very politely showed Hannah the picture of the wedding colors to explain we wouldn't have chosen that color. She blamed it in us, snapped at me and began very shouting at me about which color we originally chose. and with way to much anger took the polish off. By this time she's really angry, doing Carri's toes...Carri's trying to keep the peace so she tells Hannah "it's okay, I'll give you a really big tip I'll make it right". I couldn't believe it and I couldn't listen to my sister beg someone to not be rude to her because she had to fix her own mistake ‍‍... and told Carri "NO, Carri this is not your fault and she shouldn't be making you feel bad- EVEN IF IT WAS YOUR FAULT!!! you're tipping extra for her to do her job" she finishes Carri's toes and they seriously look like my five year old did them. I could not believe my eyes!!! Okay - Carri still has to get her nails done....I wasn't next to her so I didn't hear any conversation for the nail part. However, I was finished with my bails and went over to check on Carri. She was sitting there waiting because Hannah messed up on her nails and was fixing them (I found out later that she only fixed the glaring mistake because Carri asked her to). We left. I took time to write this review because I want consumers to know this was not a "fluke". There is absolutely no excuse for treating customers they was she treated us. Especially if you're the OWNER. I can only hope that at least two people chose an alternate salon because of my review- that's the only way I'm getting my money back !! read more

I've only been here once and didn't really like it because once the lady doing my nails (she was also the owner) found out I was vietnamese, she literally asked me a million questions about my family, etc. and being super nosy. Lol I just wanted to get my nails done and go. She also kept trying to talk me into getting a design on my nails, so that they could charge more. All I wanted was a simple acrylic and color. I'm never the type to get any design on my nails and she kept pushing it, which was really annoying. That's one of the reasons why I never came back. Went to salon with a friend for pedicures. Very nice and clean atmosphere, however the quality of the pedicure was mediocre. The polish was chipping significantly the next day for myself and my friend. The staff were very nice but I think they need to change their technique or polish. read more

I will never go back. They are extremely expensive and not upfront with prices. I went in for the 1st time and asked how much for a full set gel was told $45 and the pedicure was $55 (supposed) to be. I walked out paying $125 for a very basic full set and typical pedicure. I was told that the extra $15 was for having long nails and I told her these are not long these are average and she should have said something. i walked in with natural nails that were just a bit shorter than the length I asked for. I know what extra long nails look like and that is not what I have. She then charged me extra $10 for the pedicure which I still have no clue why. My cuticles were rough and I was told that I needed to pay an extra $7 for a mani on top of my full set for them to do cuticle care. Wow!! I never been to a place that wanted to charge extra to give me cuticle care that is outrageous and just greedy. Worse part is my butt is so sore from the massage chair I sat in my chair was as hard as a rock. The lady that did my pedicure was very nice but the lady that did my nails and checked me out just horrible. Stay away!!!! I highly recommend VIP nails in spanaway I should have stayed with them. Im so sad that I lost $125 for a basic set with some uneven nails and it was suppose to be a self treat :-( highly disappointed! read more

I chose LaVish Nails & Spa from here, on YELP and I'm very pleased. Great costumer service! Brought in a picture, on my cell phone, of an idea of the nail art I wanted. The gentleman who worked on my nails did an awesome job recreating and actually, painting something better on my nails. I also brought my two daughter (7&9 yrs old) and the ladies were very kind and patient with them. My girls' nails are gorgeous and the ladies added designs to theirs for no charge. I will definitely refer and return to LaVish Nails & Spa in the near future. There are salons a lot closer to my house, but it's worth driving a little further ;) read more

I really hate to have to write a bad review for this beautiful shop BUT I just had the worst experience ever!! Yesterday I came in for a full set with design. I received nails that were not filed down around the edges & not blended into my nail beds. My hair was getting stuck in my nails when I was brushing my hair. You could see acrylic sticking up all thick. It was terrible, possibly the worst I've ever seen. The polish was messy , sloppy ,was short, didn't reach my nails beds, so It looked like I already needed a fill. When I tried telling the tech she half attempted to fix it but she was rushing me to get her next customer in the seat. So I just accepted it & thought to myself I'll return tomorrow & see a different tech when I had more patience to explain respectfully. I returned today & was seen by Lee. She couldn't believe the mess. The other nail tech immediately started blaming me for a poor choice of design & that's why my acrylic nails looked bad. (Which was a very simple design with solid color outlined with gold) Lee & I looked at one another & we both knew that was ridiculous. She clearly effed up my nails. We remained quit & she fixed my nails beautifully,which took 45 mins to repair. ( but the nail tech said nothing was wrong with them, it was the design) The nail tech who ruined my nails yesterday turns out to be the new owner or manager & charged me for a fill with shellac. I was shocked!! I quietly paid it & left! I really hope the old owner reads this & returns. This woman is aweful. I will not be returning my business to this place with this kind of treatment. Had the worst experience at this location. Called and asked for pedicure and waxing, did not get the waxing done. My pedicure I had to tell her basically everything. I do not know the ladies name who serviced me but the manager said she been there a month. They did not properly train her so I won't blame her. No bubbles she never turned them on I had shellac on my toes and she tried to use nail polish remover... then got the tool and had it way too high someone had to come and turn it down. She was skidding off my nail. Very uncomfortable. The nail polish is on my skin nails are chipped. Horrible will not be back!!!!! read more

Its a different experience every time we go in. A good friend and I get acrylics every 2-3 weeks. Sometimes the ladies in there are great, talking to us the majority of the time, and other times they don't say much. I am SUPER picky about my nails and I'm not afraid to complain about them if I'm unhappy. They usually fix them and make them exactly how I hope. The lady didnt polish the tips of my nails, they are jagged... Their menu says a fill (including cut down) is $18.. they told me $25 at check out because my nails are long and they had price changes... I pick up a different menu to show them the price.. that one said a fill is $15.. They should for one have updated prices and for two HONOR their displayed price... This place is the trashiest worst place to get your nails. Hannah the manager bullies everyone and is super rude to customers. If you don't tip her 20+ dollars she will purposely mess up your nails. Went there with my daughter. We both got fills with shellac and pedicures. She was charged 85 with tip. I was charged 135 but since we didn't leave at the same time we didn't know this till later. One week later all the polish is off my toes all of my nails are lifting and the acrylic is completely off one nail. My daughters nails are already lifting as well and her polish is off most of her toes. I have been doing my nails for 20 years and have never had such shoddy work done for such a large price tag. I moved to Washington last month and searched out a nail salon. I was pleased with atmosphere the first time I visited the salon and the girl did an amazing job on my nails. No over coating into my nail bed or anything. But then a week in my nail broke out of the blue. I didn't recall hitting it on anything. I went back ms had my fill done by a different girl who didn't go such a great job but still a good one. Now a week later and another nail broke. Today a second nail. My balance are short and I've never ever had a nail break before now. I won't be going back because I think it has something to do with the product they use. It's cheap and doesn't hold up well. I've visited lavish nails today to get a manicure and pedicure. My visit today was the first in quite some time and noticed this was the third management change I've seen at this salon. I generally enjoy my visit but today the service and product was a disappointment from the excellence that I had become accustomed to from previous experiences. The staff was not welcoming, granted they were busy but my services were rushed through to the point of being poorly executed. My pedicure was French-tip and it ended up being a mess. I had polish hardened all over my toes even after asking her to clean it up, she was rushing and didn't see the polish on another toe completely rubbing off. Another toenail was crooked and this is all after the young lady ripped off my big toe nail blaming the polish. I have to say I'm disappointed and won't be back to this location. read more

I've always went to my nail salon on 176th in canyon at Lovely Nails. But my friend encouraged me to go to lavish mails told me she loved it there. OMG Of course they gave me a fungus. Wow.!!!! Extremely disgusting. They do not clean there utensils obviously. I can't even imagine how many people walked out of there using same things that were worked on other peoples hands/toes without being cleaned or sterilized most disgusting thing I would never go back I would never refer this to anybody. My doctor said that is the only thing that could've possibly have happened. And he sees this all the time from disgusting nail salons. So beware where you go.
