Three years ago my neighbor gave me a gift of a facial with Maggie at Lavish Skin. I live in San Francisco, but didn't mind visiting Burlingame for this special treat. The first thing I noticed about Maggie's salon is how clean and meticulous it is, with a very relaxing feel to it. She evaluates your skin carefully and doesn't try to convince you to purchase anything that isn't relevant to your unique skincare. She's honest about what can and cannot be accomplished with skin treatments. She's also clear about whether a dermatologist would be a better option for certain concerns. She impresses me as remaining up to date on product ingredients and new information on dermatology, as well. I recently received a facial that left my skin glowing and exceptionally clean, and her recommendation for a cleansing product that is gentle, effective and not quite as expensive other products I've used.
