I've been getting facials and other services from both Kristen's for years (Kristen Marie & Kristen Dudum). They are both amazing!!! They are so gentle and inform you of the process every step of the way. You can easily book with them on their website. Their location in San Mateo is easy to find and has an ample amount of street parking. Inside their rooms, it is very peaceful and relaxing. Some of the services I have tried from them have been - nano-infusion, derma planning, peels, back facials, regular custom facials and most recently a hydraderm facial, which was great! I had never had a facial before and have been completely blown away by Kristen's service and the impacts just two sessions have had. Kristen is amazing! Booking is super easy through her website. She is so sweet and nice! I'm normally a die hard lash extension type of lady. I cannot emphasize how much I love my lash extensions, but since I normally have long lashes, I finally decided to get my lashes lifted and tinted! To me, it was hard to find someone that offers lash lifts in the Peninsula that I felt comfortable booking with. As soon as I found Kristen in San Mateo, I instantly booked! Her location is located right in Downtown San Mateo on 3rd, so there's either metered street parking, or parking garages all around. Before my appointment, I sanitized my hands, signed some paperwork, and she took my temperature. Masks were worn throughout the whole appointment. I was very happy with her safety protocol. During my appointment, I loved how she explained everything as she was doing it. (Especially since it was my first time, it made me feel more comfortable knowing what she's doing on my face.) She is super friendly to talk to, and not awkward to have conversation with, but when she starts working, she literally LOCKS IN! Which I am not mad at, at all! I would rather someone be locked in and focused, than having great conversation and not 100% focused while working on my eyes. I'm normally an expressive talker and tend to get excited while i'm talking (which makes my eyes open a little.) I am actually very thankful she rarely said anything, or else I probably would had made it a tad difficult for her just talking back. One of my eyes actually did open a little, and yes the solution does give you a little sting if it get's in! I was wearing contacts, and my eye started to water a little. The sting went away, and by the end of my appointment my eyes were a little red. No big deal at all, the redness went away by the end of the night! And nothing happened since I wore my contacts. Long story short, when getting any work done on your lashes, keep your eyes closed the whole time for the best results! Haha.
