I've been going for over a year and have no complaints - the stylists welcome you immediately when you walk in the door, you're offered something to drink, then...the blowout session. You haven't had this yet in the suburbs. They bring you into an area with closed curtains, they put your feet up like you're on a recliner, the "bowl" for your neck has a neck rest. They ask if you want a blanket so you can be cozy. Then, after all the massaging of your head and added conditioner, they ask what essential oil you'd like on your hot towel while you relax...AMAZING. And such a bargain. I will be transparent. I could not get into B/Bauer today and had an important meeting this morning so I scheduled a blowout down the street. It cost me THREE TIMES the amount (the total that I pay for a month's subscription at B/Bauer). The place looked like the clearance version of a beauty shop and was VERY 1980's. They called me by the wrong name after I was seated in the waiting area. They said my stylist wasn't at work yet..."sorry!" Remember, I had a meeting to get to. They asked an assistant to shampoo me (no problem) and then I met my stylist - very nice and I came out of there with a pretty blowout. Will I go back? No. Never. I am naming names - Mario Tricoci is outdated and has a crappy setup. I was the youngest person in the place and I am almost 60. If I were in Marketing, I'd have asked for the owner, but I am not, so I'll just stick with what works - B/Bauer. Honest, kind, no BS, and results that make you want to go back - this is only for the blowouts. I'll leave a different review for color, etc. If I ever have a last-minute appointment and can't get into B/Bauer, I'll put my hair in a hairclip - that's how bad it was. For anyone who is Muslim/hijab, I am not, but the B/Bauer salon is inclusive and has a place for you - privacy curtains, etc. Check them out. They're in our neighborhood and you are most welcome.

But the staff are all very understanding and find ways to preoccupy them so that I can get my hair done in peace, and really haven't minded the energy my children have. It's nice that they offer beverages and snacks while you are getting your hair done, as we know it can take a couple of hours to get our hair done depending on the type of services. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5, is that some of the parking lot now has a no parking zone leaving limited space. But, I know that is out of the salon's control.
