Edit: I appreciate the effort made by Iggy to try and rectify the situation. So I'm adjusting my rating to a 4 as a reflection of the limited work that is done being actual quality most of the time. Cancelled services today because the level of service for the price is completely misaligned. They charge the same year round but do less service in the winter but wanted to up my bill to mow my relatively small front and back yard an additional time in the summer. 160$ per month for what effectively amounts to an hour of actual service (30 minutes x 2) per month. Broke one of my sprinkler heads 2 weeks ago, never came back to fix it as they agreed. Dumped grass clippings in my recycling despite the green can being literally right next to it and not full. They sold me on additional "lawn maintenance" to make the grass look nicer and keep mushrooms and weeds at bay, front lawn is littered with mushrooms, and grass looks the same as before they started over a year ago. The only improvement was from my increasing the watering. No other maintenance of foliage outside of the lawn. I'll pay my 13 year old 100$ a month and get a more thorough job than with these guys. I was quoted for lawn services by Lawn Care Up that was free for the first month, then $50 moving forward. The original estimate stated that the initial service would "eliminate existing weeds and stop new ones before they start." Based on this, I decided to sign up, as I needed the service completed ASAP, and I provided credit card information for subsequent lawn maintenance charges. A couple days later I received a text stating that the service was completed. However, when I arrived home, both the front and backyard looked exactly the same as I left it - no services had been completed. Again, initial quote stated the first service would "eliminate existing weeds..." I contacted Lawn Care Up and was told that a weed killer had been sprayed instead of weeds being pulled, and that it could take a day to start working. Four days later, there was still no change to either yard. Weeds were still very present, as if no service had been completed at all. Photos attached show my lawn four days later with no visible changes. I then cancelled services. LCU offered to have another lawn servicer come out, but I declined because this was already a waste of time and energy. Shortly thereafter, I noticed that my credit card had been charged $50. I contacted the company before disputing the charge, but they refused to credit the amount. They now claimed that the weed killer can take 21 days to work, which was never disclosed to me prior to starting the service. If it had been disclosed, I would not have chosen this business as I needed lawn clean up immediately. Instead, I was charged for a service that was never rendered. Dirty business. Fair and ethical business practices should not involve false advertisement, misleading promotions, and 'fine print' loopholes to take money from customers. read more

I hired this company to maintain my low-maintenance front and backyard dryscape property. The primary maintenance needed was to pull weeds and maintain bushes that overgrow into my yard. The monthly charge was $162, and while the crew did visit regularly, I never felt the level of work performed justified the cost. Some of the visits were less than 10 minutes. Bushes were consistently not trimmed and weeds were consistently not pulled. The landscapers blew leaves off side walked and sprayed some areas for weeds. The company proceeded to raise prices anyways. My biggest frustration was with the company's billing practices. After I canceled service, I was informed that an entire month of service from January had never been billed due to an internal administrative error. Months later, I was asked to pay that balance. Although I paid the invoice because I believe in honoring my obligations, I was disappointed that the company did not identify the issue until after my account had been canceled for poor service and still expected me to pay additional invoices. In the end, I found the service to be expensive for the value received, and the post-cancellation billing issue left me with a negative impression of the overall customer experience. read more

Kyle was so eager to "help" as in take your money but no work was ever done. They rely on satellite images to give estimates. I Googled up my address. Not even the same property, it was my neighbor's driveway. Google Earth, street view, maps can be incorrect. Next time actually show up in person to do an estimate. My lawn is overgrown and would have love to get a correct estimate. But instead they charged $80 and realized the work was too much and didn't even bother to touch my weeds... nothing! The service provided by Pedro and his assistant has been very good.. They sprayed,aerated and over seeded my lawn and the quality of the lawn is better than it was before.. Although there was a misunderstanding in the beginning when I spoke with Rob about their Facebook advertisement.. He told me that they would give me 3 months free if I started their service now.. But apparently they don't honor anything other than a 30 day free service.. So beware of making verbal contracts with Rob... Pedro has been here twice and he's very personable and efficient.. Initially the service requested was not completed. I did not realize they had not confirmed the appointment. I figured because we had talked and set an appt. we were set. We were not set until the appointment was confirmed. My mistake. I was contacted to confirm the appointment and they followed through. They were thorough and did a complete job. Made an appointment for quote for both mine and a neighbor's property on a Wednesday. They gave a two hour window from 8:00-10:00am for Friday they would be out to quote. Never showed up or called to confirm/change appointment. Called but voicemail was full so couldn't leave message. Iggy called back after I texted him and said he could come out in 45 minutes but I needed to go to work, having flexed my work hours to accommodate our earlier appointment. I hired Lawn Care Up to service a rental I own last September. They are the worst service I have ever had! They broke six sprinklers over the winter and I just realized it now when needing to irrigate. They were totally unresponsive and they kept telling me they would get it handled and get back to me with an update which they never did. So I waited all week unable to water my lawn and plants. Then they told me someone would fix them on Wednesday with my normal service or Thursday. So on Friday I had not heard anything, so I called only to find out that nothing was fixed! So I told them if they didn't go out that day I was going to take further action against them. So Iggy who also goes by Nick who is supposedly the owner went out last Friday and called me to tell me that they didn't break two of the sprinklers and it would be a $250 charge to replace two Rainbird sprinklers!!! That is unheard of!! I was desperate and needed to get things fixed so I agreed. Then on Saturday I found out that he never fixed the sprinklers and no one called me to let me know. So I went out on Sunday and fixed the sprinklers and in fact did see that they DID break the sprinklers and it was quite clear by looking at it. So I texted Sunday evening telling them that they were fired and that I had fixed the sprinklers and to not charge my credit card as I am on auto pay with them. Well they did in fact charge my card first thing Monday morning and the owner Iggy aka Nick sent me a nasty unapologetic text stating that he ran out of parts. Really??? He didn't have a sprinkler with him to replace the one they broke??Why did he go out without parts??Plus I had been waiting one week unable to irrigate any of my landscape and he didn't fix it and DID NOT LET ME KNOW!! David who answers calls/texts told me that they have broken alot of sprinklers and that they have someone that does nothing but fix sprinklers which also was not true. This is a very dishonest business!! They also did not service my property on that Wednesday that they were suppose to do yet they charge your card at the beginning of the month. So I paid for service that I never received. I also found leaves two feet high raked in the corner against my fence that they were suppose to rake and put in the green waste can which they were not doing and it was starting to cause dry rot to my fence. Iggy was also unapologetic about that and actually said that raking leaves was not included with my service which is not true. Iggy refused to refund my card so I have put a dispute in with my CC company. He is very arrogant and rude as well. I have attached a photo of the broken sprinkler that he insisted they did not break. This experience was mind blowing. I am so glad to be rid of them. The company that I have now hired only charges $25 to fix a sprinkler if they DID NOT break it and of course it's free of charge if they did. That is right in line with any past service I have used. Their equipment is electric and they have insurance if they break something, those are the only good things I have to say about this company. Do NOT hire them! The sent two inexperienced workers over who hacked down healthy plants thinking they were weeds, destroyed our camelia bushes and geraniums with a hedge trimmer, and left the green bin almost empty. They didn't do any of the important stuff we had discussed when I hired them: trimming rose bushes, getting rid of pokeweed, etc. etc. After the first visit I complained and Lawn Care Up asked me to give them another try, so I asked them to send someone with more experience. They didn't. The two same clueless workers came again and they ONLY mowed and edged the lawn. Oh, and they broke our drip irrigation line. That's it. And for these two visits they charged us $180. I switched to Lawn Care Up after my prior gardener of 20 years went downhill in quality. My prior gardener was $175 for weekly visits, but they'd started nickeling and diming me (for things included in the contract price), doing sloppy half-finished jobs, and just not showing up. Now I'm paying $155 a month for service every other week, which includes cutting the grass, trimming shrubs, and applying fertilizer or pre-emergent based on the season. I've only been with Lawn Care Up for a month so far, but my lawn is already looking so much better, the shrubs are well pruned, and the weeds in my gravel have all been pulled. I haven't shopped around to compare, but I'm satisfied so far with the value and with the quality of service. My yard is looking better and better, and I hope Lawn Care Up continues to impress! read more

I was very disappointed in the service they provided. I hired them a few months ago, and since the beginning, the service was inconsistent and incomplete. The reason I hired them is to get rid of the weed and grass in my backyard. My backyard is drought resistant, covered with bark, and during the winter times, the weed/grass just got out of control. Communication is primarily through text, services did not happen when they said they would. Services that were in the contract were not completed for months. When I brought up the issue, they added one additional day in April, but the people who come to service the yard only stay for about 30 minutes which is not enough time to cover the area so half the yard never got serviced. I have given the company multiple chances to resolve the issue, but it was not successful. Their website also include sprinkler services, so I asked for a quote and they said they don't do sprinkler services anymore. In the month of March, the service that was supposed to be completed was not, yet I was charged for the full amount. According to the office, the truck was at my house, they sent the log but the service that was supposed to be provided didn't happen. I even sent them pictures of the yard as to how it is covered with weed/grass (weed control is the primary reason I hired them, see pictures attached). I finally asked to cancel the services and they ended up charging me a cancellation fee. I asked them not to charge the cancellation fee, but they did not respond to that email. read more

This company does NOT deserve any stars at all! I hired them based off one positive review. I should have just followed the advice of the negative reviews and stay far away from this company. Before they came out the first day I specifically told Iggy(the owner) that my lawn was overgrown even though my boys already mowed it 2 weeks ago prior to them coming out. He said no worries he will charge me extra for that plus their normal rate. I was fine with that until I seen the results of their work. I couldnt believe what a horrible job they did. While mowing the lawn they missed alot of areas and the other man who trimmed outside the edges boyy did they leave a mess. He trimmed only one side of the fence leaving the other side untouched. I messaged Iggy about it and he reassured me that when they come back out again they will do a better job next time. Keep in mind the first visit he charged me $222 for a crappy service and $82.50 for the 2nd visit. The second visit was just as poor serviced like the first one. Again, he sent out 2 inexperienced workers which one of them came to clear the air that they will do a better job this time around and rest assure they will leave when the job is complete. Ha! That was a lie. I specifically told him I wanted my grass 2"-3" long he said thats fine. I come out the house the owner took 1 worker with him leaving the younger kid behind to finish my yard. I told him the grass was way too long still and I wanted it short he said they normally cut it 6"-7" then they will rake up the grass before they cut it down to 2-3" and said dont worry everything will be taken care of. Yup another lie! They did not blow and clean up anything but left my whole street with grass and dirt all over the place. My husband had to come and clean up our street, driveway and sidewalk from all the mess they left behind on top of leaving all the grass cut without raking it in and cleaning it up. I am beyond disappointed with this company. My 11 and 12 year old boys does a better job than this company of so-called experience workers. This place has some great reviews, but some of the recent reviews are scathing... unfortunately, my experience was not good. I hired the company for a one time clean up and tree trimming and the first person they sent did nothing (pulled about 10 weeds and left after 10 minutes). After I complained, they sent two people out and they didn't appear to know what they were supposed to do or how to do it (they asked what they were supposed to do even though I spoke with the office and detailed exactly what I wanted done, including pictures at the company's request, then they asked "how" they were supposed to trim my tree because they didn't have any experience trimming trees). Very disappointed. I also set up bimonthly services and was very dissatisfied. The person that provided the service left excess lawn clippings on the lawn, missed several spots when mowing and didn't pick the weeds...all of which were supposed to be taken care of as part of my services. I canceled after one month of service. Make sure you have your agreement available when canceling...I was told that, if canceled prior to one year, I had to pay a "one month" cancelation fee, per the contract terms and conditions. I said I would gladly pay for another month of service to ensure they never came back to my house. However, after I canceled and was charged the extra month, I found my contract and it did not say that if canceling before the first year the cancelation fee would be the cost of another month (it said that if canceled within the first year, any discounts will be converted to full price and the customer is responsible for the difference - I did not have any discounts). This is, in my opinion, *fraud (for lying). I considered trying to get my money back, but the hassle is not worth it to me. Hopefully, this post saves someone from headaches similar to my experience. *Note: After I posted this review I received an email from Lawn Care Up letting me know that the one month cancelation fee is being refunded. This company goes out of their way to not do their job. I was told I would have service on Thursdays. Then with no notice he changes it to Friday. There was one guy who was VERY good. But Iggie the owner fired him because of some alleged interaction with a client. Then he hired 2 high school kids Cole and Ricardo who must be paid by the lawn. They told me they could only clean up leaves on the grass and cement. Iggie A the owner said now months later that was a lie. He has said repeatedly that customer service is foremost LIE. I pay $140/month they raced and did my lawn ONLY in 20 minutes. That is $7 a minute. Then they broke the new sprinkler head I had just had replaced and the sewer vent cap. Did they tell Iggie, no. When I mentioned all this to Iggie he said not to worry he had insurance. How about training your staff and a policy of not lying??!! I asked that some tall weeds be trimmed in the garden in August, never done! Then some new guy rang my doorbell in NOVEMBER and said he couldn't find the weeds, BECAUSE I had done it myself, a disabled senior citizen. They don't deserve any stars (negative 10 would be better). Overcharge for rushed, careless, messy work. They don't edge, weed, clean up, pickup their mess, don't mow properly. They don't communicate properly either. They spent barely 10 minutes per week and leave quickly without doing all the other agreed upon work. They complain when they have to come back two to three time to make the corrections. Don't waste your money with this company. Their customer service is horrible along with their service. And this company will claim they didn't service the your place and will nor own up to their failure. read more

Please find another company. They destroyed my lawn lights. I reach out to the company, and left messages and nothing. Pretty much ignored me, got ghosted. Whenever they come to do yard work they spend less than 10mins, I specifically hired them to pulled weeds and to gather up all the twigs and falling leaves from my 2 trees and also my rose bushes. They only gather up the twigs etc only about 2 times smh. The only thing they do ok is cut the grass. Majority of the times they can't be reached. Please find another company. And they charged way too much for spending less than 10min in my front and back yards. read more
