It's crazy how long I've lived in and around Lawndale and how I've never visited local bars. I saw videos of this bar on a friend's instagram post and it looked like a good time. I came to have a few birthday drinks with my bestie last night and we loved it. It's such a cool, chill vibe, so much to see around the place that makes you too relatable I loved it. They have good music, bartender Carlos was great and the people all seemed like locals and chill. Parking is small but you have prairie and a residential street for additional parking. I live a few blocks down so will definitely be coming back. $16 for cranberry vodka dbls, but they didn't have Tito's only Absolute... that was the only downer this time but I'm sure you can always find something else to drink. read more

I stopped in for a quick beer after playing some golf at Alondra Park across the street and was pleasantly surprised by the clean, memorabilia-laded establishment. It was late-afternoon, so the place was pretty empty. Great selection of beer, friendly bartender - I liked the place. Initially, I thought they might serve food - they don't. Parking is available on the street mostly (there is a small lot, but it's not clear if it's cool to park there.) I'd return again. 4 stars read more

This place is rad! What a cool bar to check out. The vibe was very chill for a mid week after work drink. They have pinballl which I will go back for, a pool table and different seating areas. Came here to watch the Kings game and celebrate a friends birthday. We had a food truck and there was karaoke but sadly the power went out on the whole block. Although it was short lived, we had a great time. The establishment only has a beer and wine license but they have vodka, rum, whiskey, and tequila that has been brewed like wine so it's technically not hard liquor. It wasn't bad, but I personally would stick to their awesome beer selection. They have a lot of local beers as well as some classic beer staples. The bartenders were friendly and it's nice that they have board games for their customers to play. There's a small parking lot in the back, some street parking in the front and very limited parking on the residential street. They have gender neutral bathrooms, a pool table, and would be a great place for a large party. read more

Great spot in Lawndale/Torrance area. Awesome for catching Dodger games. They have plenty of amazing beer on draft. They also offer wine and other hard liquor here. I like the decor they have set up here. Parking can be a pain since its right on Prairie but if you drive into the neighborhood you usually can find a spot. If you like brooklyn bar down hawthorne you'd like this place. Similar vibe. One of my favorite things is that you can come here and just catch up with someone, it isn't usually to crowded so gives you time to chat and what not. I like the city books they have here and plenty of board games to hang out with friends. read more

So glad they are open again! If you want a chill time just drinking a beer with your partner and enjoying cool music with a board game this is your place. My husband aren't looking for much other than getting out off the house and enjoying time with each other with good beer and this is the place. Funny enough this is where I end every good night including the night he proposed to me when I thought after the proposal we were going to a common place we go to end the night and I walk in with 10 of our closest friends and family. Wow I got served by the rudest bartender. She's a chunky Hispanic with glasses good thing for the other bartender who was very nice and polite. I am amazed that the manager approached me when she looked highly unprofessional just sitting down as if she were a customer. You call that a manager wow this place is by far one of the worse bars I have been to. Maybe if the manager spent less time sitting on her ass and managing the place it would be better. read more

I was at this location with a handful of my friends and we so happen to get stopped at the front door( there were three guys and four girls or five at the most in our grou), and when we were stopped by the bouncer he didn't let 2 of my guy friends inside(they are both black, mind you) but the rest of us were allowed in after they asked for IDs (they only allowed me, my gf and her date, and another gf inside) instead of my 2 guy friends. Now I found it weird because they didn't stop my friend's boyfriend from going inside (who was white) I didn't question it. . . the place was crowded and it was predominantly Mexican (no English at all) and I already felt uncomfortable because majority of the whole time we were there, which was not even 30 minutes, there were eyes on just our group. The hateful kind of look. I was the only one observing my surroundings and the behavior of everyone. We seat ourselves at the bar and the bartender was clearly not busy doing anything, mind you, but she saw us walk in and just proceeded not to engage us that whole time for about 15 minutes in seated, until she gave off this bothered body language and finally we were actually asked if we wanted to get served. . . We never seen her again after that. There were more than a few times that I caught the bouncer staring in our direction and ONLY our direction. My eyes with his and when I tell you I felt the most hateful vibes coming from his gaze that I couldn't help but to roll mines and look at something else. . . I became more bothered and uncomfortable but I didn't say anything I didn't do anything I just stared as hard as he was cuz I didn't know exactly what we were in for until after we were forced to leave. Now, there were a couple pool tables which had the bollard equipment neatly placed and there was no one at either of the tables. We proceeded to walk over to the pool table and one of my gf begins to pay for the game but not even after she picked up the pool stick the bouncer comes over and tells us that we got to leave because the pool table was taken. As I said before there was NOBODY near, or even playing with the table(s) when we walked up. . . I got so pissed off but we didn't make a scene or argue, we just left everything where it was and left. I broke down the situation with the guys and they found it weird as well as letting my gf date inside with no hassle like these 2 did. I was honestly disgusted because of how that happened and I don't understand what makes my skin color such a threat to you people. I have never been in this type of situation before and this experience is one that really bugged me to the core. That was not worth a glass of iced tap water or the emotional/mental trauma that places gives out. . .If you're black do not go there for anything unless it's a lawsuit on racial conduct. read more
