I'd been wanting to check out Jersey's for a while, and finally stopped in after a Sunday at the beach with my adult kids. They were in the mood for a snack and a cold beer, so I suggested we give Jersey's a try. It's definitely a dive bar, but in a good way--clean enough, comfortable, and inviting. Lots of big TVs with Sunday football playing, which gave it a fun, relaxed vibe. I was surprised there wasn't any draft beer (looks like they may have had it in the past, judging from older Yelp photos), but we went with Pacificos, which were nice and cold. We ordered a plate of nachos to share. It took a little while for them to come out--seems like there might have been only one person running the kitchen--but once they arrived, they were tasty and hit the spot. Overall, good vibe, friendly spot, and I can see it being a fun local hangout. I'll definitely swing by again to try a few more things before making a final call, but for now--solid 4 stars! read more

I can't remember how many years I've been goi g to jerseys. At least 8 years... when Makala was the main bartender with Sandy. Evie is amazing as well! Love the energy of this dive in Redondo beach. Very affordable to grab a bite and cocktails or beer if you prefer. I love the buffalo wings probably the best wings around, never frozen! Amazing ranch and seasonings/flavors they offer. I also love the gcb that is a chicken bacon green onion quesadilla. Parking can be a challenge depending on the time you go. You can sit inside or enjoy the patio. Open during COVID-19 and they serve food! Owner is from NJ, so we had a lot to talk about. They occasionally apparently ship in Taylor Ham from NJ, so this might be one of the few places in Los Angeles that actually has it. I've been here a few times because my friend Michele bartends here a few nights a week and one of my best friends lives 3 blocks away. Last night was Wednesday Wing Night which draws a bit of a crowd. 4 of us rolled in alittle before 9pm. There must have been 40 or more people inside. It was way busier than I'd have expected. We played some Air Hockey, had a few dinks, and BS'd. They have darts, air hockey, pool table, TV's, and juke box. Lots of things to keep you busy. I've had the wings a few times before and they're ok. If you're looking for something a little different though come on in on a Wed night, have some wings, a few drinks, and say "Hi" to Michele. You can't miss her. She's the 6'2" blonde volleyball chick behind the bar. On the dive bar scale this place get's 4 stars. They have PBR, Stella, Sierra, Fat Tire, and some other beers on tap. They also have a full bar. If HBYC has a 3 star rating and Hermosa Saloon has a 4 star rating on Yelp this place should be 5 stars. read more

If you live locally, this is a chill bar to come and have some drinks with friends at. You can buy beer by the pitcher and they have amenities such as a pool table, jukebox, and air hockey. Also darts. It's definitely a place where some locals like to hang. It is walking distance to O'Hearns next door and Gasser Lounge across the street. Pitchers are $10, Shots are $5. Location is important and as is parking. Parking sucks balls here. You probably have to walk a block or 2 if you are stopping by during the weekend. A good hint to park by Rite Aide, it's open 24hour so you should be okay there for at least a couple of hours. Inside is your typical looking dive bar. Pool table to the right and bar at the far end and theres a patio in the back but I didn't check it out. Decent size with booths and a pin ball machine. Drinks were cheap. Jerseys is a great local dive/sports bar! I don't say dive to be negative, not at all, its the tone and vibe that Jerseys gives off & one that I like! I've been here any number of times & yesterday was a perfect example when I met up with two old friends for drinks! I was there saint Patrick's day and I'm pretty sure I could guess what girl wrote that review. She was the ONLY person in the bar who wasn't having fun. Because EVERYONE else was. She's the type of person that would say the word extra terrestrial is offensive and they need to be called "American extra terrestrial" (or respective country " Or the type of person who wears socks when they sleep.. or the type of person who puts the toilet paper roll hanging away from you....The bartenders name is Eavie. The only people that don't like Eavie are people who punch puppies, which I seriously think that 1 star poster might do(saying with no Sarcasm). I've been to Jersey's twice. Primarily because of proximity. The first time was with a few friends when we didn't know a good place to go to hang. We had some beers, had a decent time, and hung with some locals who seemed to know the folks who worked there really well. The second time didn't go so well. I was by myself, just wanted to get a beer. So I sauntered up to the bar, which had two people working the bar and 4-5 patrons. So I waited for, I dunno, 5-10 minutes with some cash in my hand to get served my frosty brew, but to no avail. I was totally ignored. The other 4-5 patrons were clearly friends with the folks that worked there. I ended up leaving without being served. Personally, I'll take my business elsewhere. However, if YOU just happened to be best friends forever with the bartenders at Jerseys, I'd recommend you go to Jerseys. read more

I said Fat Tire, not flat tire. The beers were completely flat due to an error in the CO2 system, but they were still pouring them. Diver down! How this place survives with only a hand full of people on a Saturday night i have no idea. I've been here several times, mostly on weekdays and it's never had more than 10 people simultaneously in this bar. It wasn't a total loss I just ordered some bottled beer and plus hanging out with good friends makes it easy to have a good time anywhere. So if you have a couple of people and you want to go to a place that's a low key dive bar, well you've found it. This place is terrible. And when I say terrible, I mean really terrible. There are many reasons, but let's start with the basics. First off, the parking lot is incredibly small, and shared with other businesses, so, if for some reason this place is crowded, don't even bother going to the lot. Second, the place is kinda small, but to make it look bigger they put mirrors everywhere, which just makes it confusing. Almost every wall has a mirror. There's an outside area that adds some space and some air, but it's not the nicest patio. There's a TV outside that looks like it's from the early 80s. I'm not someone who needs fancy televisions to be impressed, but when you're a sports bar, I would expect something more than a tiny 13" TV above everyone in a cabinet. Third, there are seats next to the dart board! You have to throw darts past someone's head. Fourth, the food is dangerously bad. It takes a lot to impress me but not a lot to please me. I much prefer good food but I will eat varying quality food stuffs, especially if I'm hungry. The food at this place was un-edible. My friend ordered a burger and the bottom half of the bun was all moldy. We ordered chicken tenders and they looked and tasted like they had fried and frozen several times, all rubbery and black instead of golden brown. Their $1 tacos (special sunday nights) were barely worth the dollar. The fries were OK, but honestly, it's not like we ordered complicated food. That was standard bar fare. Many places offer $1 tacos that at least taste decent. Another friend ordered a hamburger and it took them over 40 minutes to bring it out because they ran out of meat. How can a bar and grill run out of hamburgers? It's such a standard. There were people watching the football game when we arrived and they said the fans ate all the hamburgers. Come on, you know you'll be showing the game, stock up! Not sure I want to spend any more time writing about this place. Don't go. read more

Went here on a Saturday afternoon with a large group and we were pleasantly surprised when we stumbled in here during a bar crawl. The drinks are super cheap, there are games to play (the guys loved air hockey), and to our delight there was a sunny patio out back! We had no idea it was back there but it turned out to be the perfect place to sit outside and drink. We had the whole place to ourselves and it felt like we were in a friend's backyard...super comfy. It also looked like it had xmas lights for patio drinking at night. There is also a kitchen to get some snacks if you have the munchies. Yes, I go to Jersey's because it's close to my house. It's usually dead, which can be nice if you are going with a group of friends, its like having the place to yourself. Jukebox, Pool Tables, Air Hockey..stuff that is entertaining after you've had a few too many. Food is ok. The garlic fries were bad, (like a whole tub of minced garlic on a plate), but everything else I've tried from there has been good. Sandwiches & appetizers mostly. Sunday nights they have $1 Tecate night. My downgrade is that they always stop serving food early (like 8 or earlier sometimes!) So by the time you get a buzz, & get hungry, you can't order food. The only reason you should find yourself at Jersey's is if you live close by and you need a bar you can walk (er...stumble) home from. We can walk there and we still have only gone about 3 times in a year. The place is pretty small with a pool table prominently placed in the middle of the room. People are always playing pool at Jersey's. There is also an air hockey table and the constant knocking of the puck is irritating at best. There are mirrors everywhere which can get weird - especially if you are already starting to see double... Jersey's draws a small and bizarre crowd. I am never sure how these people wind up there but I assume they either: a. walked and live close by b. are personal friends with the bartenders and are getting free drinks As for the drinks, I stick to bottled beer at Jersey's because I just don't trust their tap beer system. The only thing I have consumed at Jersey's is bottled beer and thankfully, it was cold so there was really nothing they could screw up. As for the "Grill" part in Jersey's name: I am adventurous but I am NOT adventurous enough to try their food. There is something that doesn't seem clean about their kitchen so I don't think I will try their food EVER. I will admit that a guy next to me ordered chicken wings though and they did smell pretty good. After a night of drinks in this area, go to Papa Guido's for pizza or stop at Jack in the Box. That's what we do. The reason for 2 stars? They have a jukebox with a variety of different styles of music. Last night, some girl monopolized it with about $10 worth of lame songs. But usually, I choose some of my favorite songs from the jukebox and relax. Last night - we also discovered a cool computer trivia game tucked away in the corner of the bar. It costs $1 to play, but the trivia games were truly entertaining. Plus, we won a lot so that's always fun. I am not sure why anyone would drive to Jersey's.
