I ended up having gum line issues/bleeding/ and color mismatch from my prior crowns and 3 years after the procedure I ended up back in Dr. Michaelson's office. Once I decided to move forward with my crown revision, he was very honest and straightforward with how I could best achieve the look I wanted, what my future with the crowns looked like, and timeline. They were also up front and transparent with pricing. Even though they are on the higher end price wise, the lab they used did an amazing job to match the color and it has now been over a year and my teeth have held up nicely. I was also very nervous for how long the temporaries needed to be on because of how bad temps have been in the past but these temporaries were not bad at all. For general dental visits: all of my cleanings were awesome/pain free and you could tell that they knew how to be careful with maintaining integrity of any dental work. Only experience that I feel like could be improved upon was X-Ray process. I have never been that uncomfortable from just getting dental images but they also got the most in depth photos I've ever had done so that could be why. Lastly, they always tried to accommodate my schedule and fit me in when they could. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Michaelson and his team. If I did not move I would still be going for my annual exams and any additional work.

I was told I would be referred to the oral surgeon as in a previous visit I was told I needed my wisdom tooth pulled. She refused to see me after suffering 3 days of pain and no sleep. I called to schedule an appointment with the oral surgeon and they don't even take my insurance. So I made an appointment with the urgent care office and they gave me antibiotics. So I called today to see if she would please squeeze me in as today makes day 7. I was told again she couldn't do anything as she believed it was my wisdom tooth and wouldn't be able to see me. After pleading and having to over talk her to explain that the pain was nowhere near my wisdom tooth she finally decided to schedule me but told me she wouldn't be able to do anything about it. This is unacceptable. I am 8 months pregnant and never thought I would have this experience from a doctor. Doctors have to learn to take black pregnant mothers more serious across the board. It's not just a medical provider issue.

First, there were the repeated billing issues. Duplicate billing to my insurance companies, billing in excess of the charges incurred, unclear explanations for these events. I've had to reach out to my insurance companies to gain a better understanding of how these matters should be handled, I've explained it to the staff more than once and have been told (repeatedly) that the information was included in my file. Yet...it keeps happening. Next, is the lack of communication and failure to follow up and through. I've left multiple voicemails without receiving a return phone call. When I've been able to get someone to answer the phone, it's usually the poor receptionist who only passes along my messages (which I've been assured time and again was done); however, I've yet to speak directly with the person(s) that keep screwing things up. I have spoken with the Officer Manager (who also happens to be the wife of Dr. Junca). She's very nice. However, even she fails to follow through on what she tells me she's going to personally do or have done. My most recent appointment was the last straw. Apparently, I needed some additional work but the Billing Clerk did not want the staff to schedule me until pre-verification. I was told someone would call. After a week, I called multiple times with no answer and finally left a voicemail. During this time, more billing issues for that visit. I sent to emails. I called again asked for a return phone call from the manager. We had a nice discussion and I thought it was resolved. I was promised that detailed billing would be emailed to me with 20 minutes. It's been more than a week and...crickets. So, I finally made an appointment to see a new dentist. Crossing my fingers! Dr. Junca is nice and the hygienist I had was very sweet, too. Unfortunately, his front office is in shambles and has been for a while. I really hated to change dentists just when he's finally moving back close to where I live. But, good customer service is a must for me.

They don't stack appointments, so if you show up on time you're usually seen right away. In fact, at my last cleaning I walked in about ten minutes early and they were already waiting for me. The atmosphere is relaxed, the hygienists are incredibly thorough, and Dr. Salazer takes the time to make sure everything is done right while keeping the whole experience comfortable and anxiety-free. It never feels rushed even when they have a lot going on but I also don't ask tons of questions so not sure. lol bbbuuuttt they have been great here so I'll continue coming for myself and my family.
