This is my first review ever. I'm doing it because I am so irritated. I arrived at 11 am (for a 11 am appointment that I wrote on my calendar) and was told my appointment was at 10:30 am. Never got a reminder call the day, or several days before (as most offices do). Of course I could wait, but I was told Dr Osman was running behind-- as was evident by all the people sitting in the tiny waiting area. One lady said she got a reminder text. One lady said she didn't get any kind of reminder as well. The office staff could care less of course. So I left. Great way to run an office and treat your patients!! She really cares about the patients too! I'm hopefully not done with seeing Dr. Osman. There is a hint that I may have allergies to PPD, a chemical found in hair coloring treatments, dyes, tattoos... So, I'm going to see if I could have possibly gotten any of this into my body and stay away from this stuff for a month and see if my itchies calm down. We'll see. I've been seeing Dr. Osman for about 8 to 10 years and I can't recommend him enough. My parents see him as well. He's very caring, kind, and passionate about seeing his patients happy. He has a very calming way about him and he never makes you feel rushed or nervous like many doctors today do. He actually takes his time and has extensive knowledge about everything he does. I see Dr. Osman for skin related issues, Botox, and filler 2 to 3 times a year and he is amazing at what he does. He has so much knowledge in regards to dermatology and cosmetic procedures. I've been having hair shedding issues for a few years. He took a scalp biopsy immediately and the diagnosis showed telogen effluvium. He took it a step further and gave me a lab slip to get bloodwork and he was the first doctor to diagnose me with Lupus SLE. If he hadn't sent me for bloodwork I would have never known I have Lupus SLE which does require medication, staying away from certain foods, and staying out of the sun because they all can cause flare ups. I'm so thankful for his care, concern, and knowledge. He recommended I see a rheumatologist and even gave me his own personal recommendation for one. Dr.Osman is just a really good person which makes for an amazing doctor. I also wanted to give a shout out to Gabriela at his other office at the Calabasas Med Spa. Dr. Osman is AMAZING. He is professional, friendly and knows what he is doing. He was my best kept secret, lol...but I'm now telling the world how great he is! I've been the victim of multiple overbooking and lies in doctors' offices before, but never this badly. I arrived a few minutes early and filled out the first-time paperwork. There were 5 people waiting ahead of me. After a half hour, none were called in. I told the receptionist to cancel, and she said I would be next, although there were two waiting in the inside offices ahead of me. Let's see; 7 times 1/2 hour comes out to 3-1/2 hours more wait, plus 5 people ahead of me that would be angry because I was taken ahead of them. No thanks. I've had this skin problem where it starts off as red bumps and turns into a white patch. I've come to dr osman over the years for this. And each time I come he diagnosed me wrong, prescribes the wrong medicine, and even took samples of skin from my face(basically punched out a hole of skin). The first few times he thought it was vitiligo even though the sample was negative for vitiligo. He took more of my skin and again said it was vitiligo when it wasn't. I was so fed up and went to a different dermatologist. After inspecting it once, she prescribed me an ointment that made these rashes disappear within a few days. What he though was vitiligo was a common rash/allergy. Save yourself money and time(the wait each time I came was over an hour) and go somewhere else read more

I wrote an email to this office two days ago to complain and, since I haven't got any kind of response, I now know that I am perfectly justified in NEVER going to Osman's office again! In the pursuit of making as much money as possible, this office is way too overbooked. I got tired of waiting too long to even be put in an examination room, and when I said that I was leaving, no one asked, "Why?" or "Is something wrong?" That's how much they didn't care. Additionally, their tiny waiting room was so overcrowded that the communal stink of body odor was just too much to endure. It's not just me they are losing: two dear friends have since moved on because they find the front end staff are "too dismissive". (The front end all chatter and laugh loudly among themselves, but when a client comes to ask something, all of their faces flat line - so rude!) One front end staff member was picking at something under her right arm pit for all to see, which made for a real attractive mood. Etiquette: go to the bathroom if you need to explore yourself! (I will say this - you should have seen how excited and delighted the front end got when a Frito delivery guy walked in with the gift of two cases of Fritos for the staff! And to listen to them plot on how to hide the Fritos for themselves was downright embarrassing). In closing, the teenage daughter of the friend that is longer going to Osman really didn't appreciate his bedside manner...I think the words she used were '///he seemed not interested...". read more

Dr. Osman took great care of me when I had a recent bout of severe eczema due to stress. He had a Yelp deal that allowed me to be seen by a dermatologist without breaking the bank, and without any medical insurance - this completely saved my life! Dr. Osman was attentive and communicated with me outside of appointment times, something incredibly rare for any doctor to do, and I fully appreciated the care that he and the entire staff extended to me. Great Dermatologist. I get Botox (now using Dysport) and have been very pleased with the results. I've been a patient now for three years. I request Dr. Osman to do my Dysport, but he does have a nurse who can administer it as well (not sure if the nurse is cheaper). I also had a spot with abnormal skin cells removed that required a stitch or two, which healed nicely. Dr. Osman has always taken time to discuss my needs. The receptionists are very helpful as well. The prices are reasonable, and my experience has been very positive overall. He even removed a sunspot for free. Parking is validated for one hour. read more

Hey, He was alright. I waited a long time. There is a lot of literature posted in the waiting room for procedures, trying to up-sell the final bill. I'm very happy to pay my co-pay while I'm there, or if I receive a bill. About 6 months later I get a call from their office that my $30 bill, that I had no clue about, is about to go to collections! First time going to a dermatologist for my blemishes;i thought i had age spots ,but Dr Lawrence took a good look and said my blemishes were genetic,i have an aunty that has them so i guess that's true. I've been using the creams he prescribed and they feel nice,they don't burn my skin and i feel comfortable not using foundation because the cream has a tint which blends in with my skin. Dr. Sherry Sanvictores and Dr. Lawrence Osman are top notch professionals. They are conservative, knowledgeable, and highly skilled. I have been going to both of them for a few years and absolutely love them both. You can't go wrong with either of them, so it is no problem to schedule with whoever is first available. Both are super kind, easy-going, fair, and reasonably priced for impeccable, quality care. They have a Northridge and Calabasas location that are both convenient. Once again, you really can't go wrong with either location, both are easy to get in and out of for parking. I just love everything about both of these dermatologists. Sherry is the nurse practitioner and I go to her quite often. Dr. Osman also treats me anytime his schedule is open, it just boils down to whomever has the first opening because they are both honest, caring, and simply amazing! I scheduled am appointment for my boyfriend's psoriasis because of the positive reviews. I'm giving him 5 stars because scheduling the appointment was easy as the staff was friendly and gave me the appointment within 2 days. They actually scheduled it with the doctor unlike other derms that give you their assistant and make you request the doctor. My bf saw the doctor and loved him. Doctor was nice, But he was about one hour late to the appointment and waiting wasn't so pleasant- they didn't have a coffee machine or water while I was waiting. Osman just keeps working with his clientele without any hint that medicine has changed a lot since he attended medical school. A patient May get fifteen face to face minutes but what you don't see are the hours he devotes to his clientele by doing his own research, consulting another physician and completely accomplishing a thorough report that is understandable by non-medical people.
