So far so FANTASTIC! I have seen Dr. Darush multiple times and all were an A++ experience. He did my Botox - lasered off a cauliflower mole thing on the side of my face -and- gave me a prescription for cream to put on these tiny bumps that were around my nostrils. The ending result: I have no scars from the cauliflower removal and the "miracle" cream he gave me for the tiny bumps....Poof! Disappeared!! My next visit: I am going to see what magic he can do for me for Hormone Therapy and will let you all know how that works out. I desperately need help with these non-stop random hot flashes & all-night night-sweats along with gaining 18 pounds in the last 3 years which is causing me to have depression issues and low energy. read more

Dr. Alan Darush have caused my family great deal of pain and suffering, up to this day. He was my mother's primary care. He did not provide her the expected medical care that she deserves. For four weeks she was having abdominal pain and severe constipation. But when she went to see him, he told her to try eating plums. The next week when she went back, without even checking her abdomen, he told her to buy OTC suppositories, which in her case were useless. I called and informed his secretary/medical assistant that she's been having severe pain for more than two weeks, she's not eating and has lost weight. I requested colonoscopy and CT Scan. She told me she would call me when the order is ready but they never did. Despite our concerns and request for more serious tests to diagnose the problem, we were ignored by this doctor and his assistant. I wish Dr. Darush cared about his patients as much as his Botox clients. Thank God for Dr. Joel Sach who gave us the emergency appointment asap and ordered the necessary tests. After receiving the results, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. During many years that he was my mother's primary care, he has never once referred her to the Obgyn for a check up or even a mammogram. My mother went through an extensive operation. She's suffered physically and emotionally. So did her family. My mom is still receiving chemotherapy. He has not even called once to ask how she's doing or to acknowledge and apologize for his shortcomings. There are no words to express the amount of the pain and despair that we have experienced. I don't wish this nightmare even on my worst enemy. I still can't believe how a doctor could be so careless and inconsiderate. read more

I've been going here since 2014. In June of this year I requested an IPL treatment to even out my skin tone. I was left with 2nd and 3rd degree burns which I am now paying someone else to remove. He had the IPL laser set at too high of an intensity. It left black scabs for a week and when they flaked of my problem areas were 10 shades darker than the rest of my face. Now 5 month later it is starting to lighten but still not completely gone. I trusted Dr Darush and don't know why he would do this high of an intensity and why he passed the laser over the same spot multiple times causing the burns to be layers deep. I contacted them and got $150 refund for the IPL treatment. BUT $150 DOESNT FIX leaving me with dark spots on my face for over 5 months. read more

I have seen Dr Darush for botox for 5 years now. i recently decided to see him for my other medical needs, since he takes my insurance. He told me about Victoza for weight loss. He said it works really well for people who are not diabetic. Since I have been in my 40's its way harder to lose weight. I eat healthy and workout 4 days a week, but can barely lose weight. I started the Victoza 2 weeks and 2 days ago, and have already lost 4 pounds! It makes me have no appetite, and when I do eat I am stuffed on a lean cusine! I love it! I hope to stay on it at least 2 or 3 months. Dr Darush takes his time with all his patients, and he truly cares. I love that I can see him for so many different services too. I've being seeing Dr. Alan Darush for Botox and fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane for several years now. My last experience at his new office in Simi valley was beyond phenomenal. He has an innate talent for botox and fillers; he knows exactly in which spots and how much to inject in order to deliver the results that I hope for. In addition to Dr. Darush's meticulous technique, his ability to inject the botox is so flawless that I never had a bruise or swelling after the treatments. Best doctor I've ever had. I was hospitalized and he was my doctor. He has great bedside manners with a personal touch. He is extremely caring as he called many times to check on me and my test results. He was also my mom's doctor and he treated her just like his own mom. Worst hospital experience in my life with this man. I am reporting him to the medical director and the state licensing board. I am on medical staff at a good hospital; the patient was a medical assistant, so we both have ample medical knowledge. Rude, poor diagnostician.... My favorite quote from the doctor : "the symptoms are perfectly consistent with gallbladder disease. But the presentation is also not consistent with gallbladder disease". Shrugs. So I ask, what is your differential, doctor? he acted like he hadnt ever heard of the term. "just wait for the test results". After that, did not once check on the patient, failed to put in orders correctly (didnt order the CT scan that was supposed to happen in the morning first thing- we had to tell the nurse to page him when they never showed up); didnt follow patients status, forgot to order fluids so she was without any fluids for 12 hours; was NPO, forgot to cancel her NPO status when it was clear surgery was not needed- she went about 30 hours without food. Didnt communicate with nurses or surgeon about patients condition, left for the day without informing pt. of the test results (he probably didnt bother to look), finally with much insistence the nurse reached him at home at 9- again extremely rude, angry at being called and god forbid being challenged- he wanted to change the diagnosis a third time, this time saying it was STD (impossible, and the pain was in the high upper abdomen, not lower!). In the morning, didnt show up until the nurse had paged him 3 times. Comes in, again extremely rude, now the diagnosis is UTI , but he has to wait for the lab results to decide what antibiotic to call in, which he will deign to call in and ask about at 4 pm. SO she can go home then? no, only if she checks out AMA. Huh? Whats the plan for being in the hospital then? none. Patient didnt dare leave for fear he would never bother to call in the script. Then to top it off- a physical therapist shows up. Doctor has ordered PT. Why? the patient is completely ambulatory and PT is contraindicated in this kind of infectious pain. Physical therapist says beats me, and leaves. Guessing he ordered it for the wrong patient. read more

I've seen a couple of doctors in my life, but this guy is a total schmuck. He gives people a serious diagnosis without even poking at you or doing any tests. He prescribes drugs for these diagnoses as well, meaning I walked out of there with pills I shouldn't be taking in the first place. Dr Darush was the rounding internist at West Hills while my husband was hospitalized. He is kind, caring and thorough - excellent bedside manner. When my husband was discharged Darush told him to contact anytime. We weren't planning on needing to call any MD but we did and he saw us immediately, called personally on a few follow ups and was very accommodating. He and his staff are awesome and he has the personal touch that healthcare is lacking these days. Highly recommend.
