First timer at Laws with some friends. Amy was our server who was attentive and a good sport with a chatty friend. Ordered a cheeseburger and a spicy margarita. Everything was good and the cheeseburger was on the smaller side but tasty. Fries were crispy and delicious. Make sure to check out the chalkboard before heading inside, as when we went, there were a few specials on a Friday evening. Law's is half bar, half restaurant. The service is always friendly, the meals are generous, they have different specials throughout the week. There is outdoor covered dining. They have karaoke every night, though I have never been there late enough to listen. If I had a complaint it would be that you can't get a baked potato or garlic mashed potatoes until after 4 pm. But we enjoy Law's and have made it a special occasion place to take people. read more

First time here. Everyone here is friendly and the staff provides great service. They have quite a few TV here and they had the Football games on. If your a sports fan this is the spot with a fully stocked bar. There are a few pool tables inside if you like to shoot pool. The food and appetizers are well seasoned and taste great. We ran across Law's by accident- literally. A couple of months ago my folks were in an accident on the freeway off-ramp. Their vehicle was totaled and needed to be picked up. The officer told them to use Law's parking lot. Yesterday they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. They kept thinking of the restaurant so we decided to go there for dinner and celebrate. If you have a small family good luck making it to first place because the pitchiest throat screeching voice boxes will take that "win" as long as they fill up the patio with their oversized group of friends and family. there needs to be a limit on the audience votes because why have judges in the first place. yes, there's judges! and they hype up the singers for 8 weeks just to play in their face. So if you love to have a place to bring your family to be hootin and hollerin together for money then this is the place for you! Coming back down from big Bear was soooo hungry last night stop by this place Law's in Riverside. OK I did not expect much from this place honestly from the beginning, but actually starting with Selena, our waitress things started getting a better. She is so pleasant, beautiful smile, very attentive and knowledgeable on their menu. Ordered a Baseball cut steak Law's way, with mushrooms, onions and blue cheese sauce. Comes with soup or salad and choice of 2 sides. I chose the baked potato & cilantro lime rice, very good choices by the way. My husband ordered the salmon, really good, with a side of Cajun fries and vegetables. It has very sporty bar type of vibe with a full on karaoke night, with a lot of music hopefuls . But if they close the door to the outside where all the "American Idols" are practicing.. you can't hear anything going on out there, so that was pretty cool. read more

I visited 12/22/23 after years of wanting to. To say my experience was disappointing would be an understatement. Service: I had a small party and it wasn't too busy considering it was dinner time when we came. Our server hardly came over to our table and our glasses were empty like 90% of the time. She tried some small talk at first but then switched up completely after we ordered. Our food came and never did they come over to ask if we needed anything or if we were happy with our food... My order was wrong and it wasn't until the owner Michael came around that I was able to speak up. I ordered lobster bisque and got a salad. The salad looked fresh and I figured they would leave it as a "sorry" since they didn't take it when I brought it to their attention (which seems like common sense to me). Seeing as my other food looks subpar I was looking forward to something fresh but they took it away. The other food was also disappointing. We all regretted coming here in the first place. Luckily we were able to get my plate off the bill because I only tasted it and was done (something the waitress could've picked up on, i'd they came by). That was good on the owners part and I really appreciated that. You can tell he cares about how the place is ran. Food: Giant pretzel appetizer was a hit. It came with brown mustard and queso dip. I would only come back for that and maybe to try the famous Bloody Mary. 9/10 overall Bacon cheeseburger was not cooked as ordered. The person who ordered it had also said it was the smallest burger they've ever had, so not filling at all. It came with fries that were just alright. 4/10 overall Steak plate (can't remember if it was ribeye or sirloin) was also below average. It wasn't cooked as ordered either and looked/felt rubbery. They had also mentioned that wasn't the cut they had ordered and that seasoning was off. They ordered a loaded baked potato and mac and cheese. The baked potato was seasoned on the outside but hard on the inside. Toppings were alright but didn't seem worth the extra for "loaded". Macaroni was alright but burnt on top...they use like a queso sauce (like the dip) not traditional mac and cheese. 5/10 overall My plate was the "Slamming Salmon" was not slamming. It was dry and bland. Mac and cheese was exactly the same as the one above...nothing special. My other side was garlic mashed potatoes and it did not taste like anything and was dry which was unexpected. 2/10 overall Ambiance: The people there seemed like regulars and most were there just for drinks and appetizers which seems smart. They had a DJ at the stage and some people dancing. read more

This place is pretty cool, on Thursdays. They have karaoke night outside and when you're inside the bar, you can't hear it. They have TVs to watch sports there's a DJ Friday night and Saturday night. I've been wanting to go to laws for a while, and finally went for dinner. We ordered the salad with steak. Too much cheese and dressing, not enough steak. It did not look like the picture in the menu. We also ordered the chicken taquitos, but wanted to substitute the pico de gallo with guacamole. Instead it was drowned in some kind of spicy cream cheese sauce. We scrapped it all off and ate the taquitos. The items that did not disappoint were the fried calamari and French fries. Waitress was funny and knowledgeable. It was loud, even outside. If you want a quiet place with food that is not drowned in dressing and sauces, don't go to Laws. I'd be willing to go back and maybe ask for all sauces and dressings on the side ,but my family isn't willing to go again. read more

What can I say, mayhaps I was quick to judge. I've found myself back here a couple times since my first review. It's a good place, just busy. It's an established location with things going on. Kitchen gets busy, bartenders get busy. It seems wrong to fault a location for struggling with success!
