Came the day before Valentine's Day, it was a bit dead, for Friday night at 10, it was a 90s rock band, $10, cover charge, but hey we got a table and ate before we came. The music wasn't anything we could dance too, but it was still fun. By 11:30 more people started pouring in. The band switched it up, and played a song by "Mana", everyone hit the floor. From that point on, the band read the room, they started playing 90s alternative and that had everyone singing along dancing and drinks pouring. What started off slow, ended up being go a blast. We ordered the Irish nachos and , regular nachos, food came out perfect, crispy and hot. Waitresses were super sweet and amazing! We love Lake Alice! 1. Let's start with the good. It's empty during the day time, so it's great if youre looking to avoid ppl in a busy city. 2. The bar tender is amazing. She was kind, considerate, and offered to remake my drink if it wasn't to my liking. She was originally out of ingredients for the item I ordered but made something similar. 3. My waitress was terrible! She was the only one working the floor but ignored us when we walked in, although we approached her. The cool bartender noticed and sat us. This girl's personality was like the color grey. She only spoke when necessary and just went through the motions. Let's call her L. Maybe she was new or just hated life, I'm not sure but the service was terrible. 4. The food was disgusting! The wings taste like vegetable oil. It was dripping with grease not sauce. The other dishes on the table were equally disappointing. The burger patty was thin as paper and there was only 1 on the burger which was suppose to have double patties. The rice taste like prison oatmeal. Everything was just bad. We boxed up most and left it on top of the recycling bin down the street near a popular homeless haven. My husband and I went to Lake Alice to celebrate our joint bachelor and bachelorette party (this was about a month ago) and it was unplanned ahead of time. We ordered vodka soda cocktails and beers, the cocktails were very watered down so I stopped ordering after the 2nd one. We all ordered sliders, $14.99 for four sandwiches which were very over priced for such small amounts of food! I'm a regular Yelper, and have had sliders everywhere, these should be on a happy hour menu for about $8 each not $14.99!!!! Will NOT be returning here again until the reviews starts getting better which may never happen!! Go to Arts Bar and Grill instead for amazing food and drinks!! The Sire is a "dive bar" but has better prices and drinks than Lake Alice. Laws is even better, with more affordable food and drinks. read more

It was a busy Saturday night & my boyfriend and I were at the bar top waiting to be helped to order some drinks & two people from the side of me got helped before we did and we were waiting there before them. Then after two other people were helped, another girl next to us asks one of the barbacks(maybe a bartender not sure) if she can order from her and she rudely said "Yeah just give me one moment okay."
