This is a great location and very easy process. Close to the airport. Enabled us to see some sights during our long layover

I rented an airbnb that had a checkout time of 11am and had a red eye out of lax so needed a place to store bags.

Savinar Luggage in Culver City to get his rolling suiter bag fixed…read more I got it for him for Father's Day 2025, so it's only been a year, and the suiter, purchased from a very well-known luggage company, had already given up the ghost! The thing is, even though it was only used a couple of times, the whole assembly that held the wheels together just fell apart. Once we gave Joey at H. Savinar all the details about our purchase, we left, knowing we needed to get a replacement. A few weeks later, we came home from a family get-together in NorCal to find a huge box with a brand-new rolling suiter inside. To say we were surprised and even shocked doesn't even begin to describe how we felt to see this new piece of luggage. Joey had stepped in for us and managed to get us a result we didn't expect and couldn't believe. The customer service he gave us was amazing, and we weren't even customers of the store at the time. We highly recommend H. Savinar Luggage to anyone who needs travel supplies, equipment, or gorgeous suitcases and bags. The store is incredibly well-stocked with everything a seasoned and knowledgeable traveler could want. This experience with Joey and H. Savinar has made us new customers, and we're sure we're joining a very loyal and knowledgeable group. Thank you, Joey! We appreciate how much you helped us, and the least we could do is Yelp both you and H. SAVINAR to let Angelenos and beyond know what a fabulous company H. Savinar is.

So, when my old carry-on luggage needed to be replaced, I decided to visit H Savinar Luggage. It was a very nice experience. I loved that I was suggested some brands that I would not have considered, because I didn't know them, and that I could touch, feel, roll them around, and stand there and ponder for minutes whether I liked it enough to open my wallet. Now I have a piece of luggage that I'll probably enjoy for years to come.

A huge shout-out to Edith at the front desk because she was friendly, knowledgeable, and super accommodating from the moment we arrived. Edith checked my wife and I in early without any hassle and took the time to explain all the hotel's facilities with a genuine smile. She answered every question we had patiently and enthusiastically. As a Travel Pass member, we especially appreciated how she outlined all the benefits and even shared info about other participating Sonesta hotels. Edith, if you're reading this, thank you again; you are truly awesome and made our arrival feel welcoming! The hotel itself is newly renovated, spotlessly clean, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Housekeeping was efficient and friendly too; The lobby is inviting with plenty of comfortable seating, and I loved the complimentary bottled water available! The staff in the on-site restaurants and mini café were all equally pleasant and helpful. When it came time to check out, we spoke with Natalie M., who was just as warm and professional. We requested a late checkout, and she graciously approved it and no issues at all. Overall, this was a very impressive stay at Sonesta Los Angeles Airport LAX. The combination of modern updates, great comfort, and genuinely outstanding staff (especially Edith and Natalie) made it stand out. Highly recommend for anyone needing a convenient, reliable spot near LAX, whether for a quick overnight or longer like the chess tournament that my son had at this location. We'll definitely be back!

Honestly most of the staff were fine and the cafe workers should get a medal. 2+ large flights were…read morebumped to next day and they took us in as part of that. The hotel itself was fine - comfy bed, good bathroom, clean. The food vouchers worked fine at the cafe and that was fine too. The major issue both in and out was the shuttle and that's the reason for the 2 stars because the entire point of our stay is to be able to get back and forth between the hotel and the airport for our rescheduled flight and that almost didn't happen. Shuttle issue #1: Unclear instructions on the part of the airline, but bad customer service on the part of the hotel. On the way in, we were told by the airline to exit terminal B and take the shuttle from the red pole stop and it comes every 15 minutes. After 25 minutes I called the hotel. The robot assistant connected me to the front desk and the phone rang and disconnected eventually when no one answered. Then we encountered other groups looking for our same shuttle and who had the same instructions. After 3 more calls I finally got a human and she informed me that the shuttles were running and should be there within 5-10 minutes based on current position. 10 minutes later no shuttle so I called back. She informed me that they don't pick up at terminal B and we would have to move to terminal 4 and the shuttle was at 3, so it would be there promptly. Moved to terminal 4 with a group of people looking for same shuttle. Then we watched 3 shuttles go by with their logo and none stopped despite us waving and trying to alert them. Called back, got disconnected once and hung up on immediately twice once I heard it connect to the human. Then the fourth try I finally got a person again and explained we had been waiting 50 minutes total now and were at 4, but the shuttles kept passing. She said some flights had been cancelled and the shuttles might be full. I shared I was on one of those cancelled flights and asked if we should move to another terminal to be picked up as it neared an hour of waiting and 11pm. She said she'd send a shuttle to 4 for the 4+ of us who had been waiting. Finally got a shuttle and then got checked in just before midnight. The shuttle driver was very courteous and clearly looking for us, so I appreciated that. Shuttle issue #2: Unprofessional conduct by a shuttle driver towards myself and my husband and almost being late for our flight despite trying to leave an hour earlier than needed. The next morning, we had to take the shuttle back. We were first in line after a shuttle filled. We waited 15 minutes and another shuttle came. This shuttle driver refused to take our bags and started taking bags from the middle of the line. We tried to explain to him we were at the front of the line but he ignored us and said he wanted only the bigger bags. We pointed to our roller bags or offered to hold them near us on the bus and he said no, only people with big bags and "don't talk to me because I don't want to start cussing people out". I understand he was overwhelmed but we are trying to make an international flight, waiting in line by the sign as we were instructed and then he refused to board us in favor of the people who were middle of the line, which was very frustrating. I explained the situation to the staff overseeing the shuttles, who had been watching us wait and struggle and tried to intercede with the driver about honoring the line, and they just said, you can wait and get on this next one. We had to get back in line at the back of the line now for a third shuttle, where we were very promptly and politely boarded. We got there, but again, we waited 45 minutes despite getting up early and being ready and prompt all because we didn't have "big enough bags". Honestly, it was paid for by the airline because of our flight but we could have walked here faster and are lucky we left very early. I would not stay here or recommend for people using the airport, especially with early flights or traveling through Terminal B. TLDR: hotel was fine but really bad shuttle experience almost made us miss our hotel and our flight the next day.

Luckily I was with people or I would not feel safe. Rooms are average. I really don't like the hardwood floors in the rooms. If there was someone above you wearing high heels or loud steppers you can hear everything. The bed wasn't too bad, it was average. There was a nice chaise lounge in my room -- not sure if they have that in every room but it was comfy. The fitness room was pretty good too -- open 24/7 and had a few treadmills, ellipticals and stationary bikes. There were some free weights as well. There is a hot tub and the swimming pool also on the 2nd floor. This is my least favorite Marriott in SaMo, but the location is very close to the promenade, the pier, the train, and tons of other amazing restaurants. Also there is a Target and a Trader Joes right on 5th -- these are major pluses! So if you don't plan to be in the hotel very much the location is great!
