My husband and I popped into H. Savinar Luggage in Culver City to get his rolling suiter bag fixed…read more I got it for him for Father's Day 2025, so it's only been a year, and the suiter, purchased from a very well-known luggage company, had already given up the ghost! The thing is, even though it was only used a couple of times, the whole assembly that held the wheels together just fell apart. Once we gave Joey at H. Savinar all the details about our purchase, we left, knowing we needed to get a replacement. A few weeks later, we came home from a family get-together in NorCal to find a huge box with a brand-new rolling suiter inside. To say we were surprised and even shocked doesn't even begin to describe how we felt to see this new piece of luggage. Joey had stepped in for us and managed to get us a result we didn't expect and couldn't believe. The customer service he gave us was amazing, and we weren't even customers of the store at the time. We highly recommend H. Savinar Luggage to anyone who needs travel supplies, equipment, or gorgeous suitcases and bags. The store is incredibly well-stocked with everything a seasoned and knowledgeable traveler could want. This experience with Joey and H. Savinar has made us new customers, and we're sure we're joining a very loyal and knowledgeable group. Thank you, Joey! We appreciate how much you helped us, and the least we could do is Yelp both you and H. SAVINAR to let Angelenos and beyond know what a fabulous company H. Savinar is.

So, when my old carry-on luggage needed to be replaced, I decided to visit H Savinar Luggage. It was a very nice experience. I loved that I was suggested some brands that I would not have considered, because I didn't know them, and that I could touch, feel, roll them around, and stand there and ponder for minutes whether I liked it enough to open my wallet. Now I have a piece of luggage that I'll probably enjoy for years to come.

I've been here for dinner before and had to wait for tables but lunch time was not crowded which was great because the service was spot on. We started with bread service with a French butter. The wagyu tartare which I don't eat but those at the table raved about it. We also had the shrimp cocktail which had a nice presentation but if I went again I'd pass. It's good but nothing special. We also had the tomato and burrata salad that was excellent. My main dish was a nicely prepared seabass. It wasn't a large piece of fish but it was lunch so the portion was perfect. We finished with the coffee crème brûlée and apple crumble with a side of ice cream. Good desserts and again, for lunch it hit the spot. I had a sangria that was very mid. But then switched to what could be my favorite drink of the summer. ARE YOU A GOOD WITCH OR A BAD WITCH. The answer probably depends on how many of these you put down. Tequila, hibiscus, habenero and a side of sparking rose. The entire table ended up getting these and loving them.

Despite the confusion, the hostess Kia, manager Loic, and Chef Ivan were incredibly gracious and took the time to speak with us. They welcomed us in anyway and we could not be more grateful for how kindly they handled the situation. My 10-year-old niece was dressed to the nines for the occasion--fascinator, gloves, parasol, the whole look--and this experience absolutely made her day. Walking into the beautiful space "in character" for tea felt magical and the staff really leaned into the fun with us, which made it even more special. Once we were seated, Melanie took care of us throughout the entire service and she was phenomenal--warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great time. Loic checked on us multiple times and his hospitality alone would be enough reason for us to come back; we'd honestly return just for him. The food was delicious: the assortment of tea sandwiches and sweets was beautifully presented and everything tasted fresh and well-executed. The drinks were spot on as well, from the tea service to the cocktails, and paired perfectly with the whole high tea experience. What could have been a disappointing mix-up turned into a very memorable tea outing all thanks to Loic, Kia, Chef Ivan and Melanie. We left feeling appreciated and very well taken care of!! Thank you all!!

The hotel has a modern, stylish vibe, comfortable rooms, and a fantastic rooftop pool that was the perfect place to relax between wedding events. The location is also excellent. It was just a few minutes from our wedding venue, SmogShoppe, and an easy walk to The Culver Steps, where you can grab a Hailey Bieber smoothie from Erewhon or, if you're more like me, a much less expensive smoothie from Trader Joe's. Service was consistently friendly and professional throughout our stay. The biggest downside is the cost. Our room was about $425 per night, and once you add taxes, occupancy fees, and $60 overnight parking, the total climbs quickly. It is definitely not an inexpensive stay. That said, the overall experience, including the comfort, service, and atmosphere, made it feel close to worth the premium. As an unexpected bonus, we spotted José Andrés at the hotel. If it is good enough for him and his restaurants, that is a pretty good endorsement in my book. 5 stars.

When we first got in, the place was super nice and clean. There's a few places to relax and do work if need be. They have a bar area and pool table area. The room is big and spacious, which is a plus. They have a restaurant on 3rd floor, its delicious and plenty of food. The reason why I love this place and will definitely come back. I forgot hair spray and my partner forgot shaving cream. I texted the number room service and they brought all what we needed within a few mins. Amazing service. They have pretty much everything, if you left something and needed a toothbrush or button fell off your shirt they have a mini sewing kit. Most hotels don't have these items and I think that is what makes them top tier in my opinion. They even called and let's us know if we needed a late check out. Which most hotels don't do. You have to call them and ask. I would most definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely come back again.

My therapist (haha!) had done the reverse a few years ago and highly recommended CA-NY Express. Knowing that a move like that could easily cost $8K, I checked them out. Sure enough, it was half that. But it wasn't a "cheap move". They were not only both professional and helpful - but buttoned up. They're super communicative before and during the move, which left me doing what I needed to do - everything else. It took them all of 3 hrs to completely empty out my BK apartment, and 1 /2 hours to move my stuff into my LA apt. I can't express enough how much weight they took off my shoulders. I don't know how it could have gone any better. In fact, the only thing that was damaged was a table top I scratched myself unpacking. One more thing. I had a few heavier / bulkier items that needed to be brought up a spiral staircase to a loft space in LA - including the 55" TV and, desk and large chair. Their LA team did that for me without flinching. Do it. Don't worry about a thing. They got you.

The lobby is decorated in muted tones and I was immediately greeted by friendly staff (and any time I encountered them throughout my stay). The hallways were noticeably clean and I appreciated the secure access to the building, especially upon returning quite late. My accommodation was a suitable size with a Superior King bed - medium firm mattress that offered restorative and comfortable rest for two nights. I loved the efficient and beautifully tiled bathroom. Windows faced Adams Blvd - offering occasional city sounds, which is a strong complement to late night creative writing sessions. The option to order from Chulita next door was convenient, but I'd rather go in on my next visit just for the vibes. Definitely consider Alsace for your next staycation or visit to Los Angeles!

Staff were inattentive and unhelpful throughout. At the pool, towels were unavailable, and a manager prioritized a non-guest over paying customers, even allowing her to ask us to move. Requests like a crib setup and access to the business center were mishandled or denied without explanation. There was also no clear way to leave feedback, which says a lot about how little guest experience is valued here. For the price we paid, the lack of hospitality and basic courtesy was unacceptable. I would not stay here again.
