So much so that when I saw first my brows, I hugged her tight as if she had just saved my life. (Southerners are known for their hugs - and I just couldn't help myself). She gave my brows new life. While brows have long been "in", I have inconsistently dabbled with getting them waxed, threaded and tinted. So yes, they were essentially neglected and busted. On the blue moons in which they were cared for, the outcome was nice but never did any service relieve me of a need to fill them in or from needing to brush those wild & curly babies into shape daily. But not today! Felicia did a good job on my lashes too. They were light and natural looking. But the glue she uses is black and sticky and does not really work for me. If a lash is hanging or stuck, a slight pull of the one, knocks off an entire section. It has happened to me one time to many. I also knew Nicki was a high demand artist and she would get booked up if I didn't act fast so I reached out and booked her for my wedding 12 months in advance. We signed a contract and I paid a deposit - everything was set. About 4-5 months later I get an email from her saying she has to cancel my booking because.... "her husband surprised her with a trip for there 10 year anniversary and somehow he missed my wedding date in their joint calendar." At the time, I believed her and said no problem and I understood he had planned this surprise and it wasn't in her control. BUT unfortunately for her, the South Asian community is really small. I later learned that she had canceled my booking only to book another bride that was getting married in Mexico. So not only did she cancel my booking, which I had made far in advance to confirm the date was available, but she also lied to me about why she was doing it. so if she does cancel on you in the future, know it's not because she made a mistake. It is just because she got an offer she couldn't refuse.

With its Grey and white sponged painted walls, it does make you think of an old salon. Its really not bad though. A bit on the small side with just 3 stations, but it didn't seem crowded when I went, and I am sure although it does, I called first and asked my friend if by chance she had an opening to fit me in her schedule. She did and of course I was happy. Parking is abundant since you are across the street from the racetrack, and it really doesn't get used most of the time so of course you have your selection of parking spots. I was happy that right in front there it was, the perfect spot. Also though if in the slim chance that there is no parking (very slim) you can also park going through the alley in the side of the building, ample space for parking also.
