My mother wanted 10 death certificates and Mike, the man who helped us,…read moreactually tried to talk her out of it and that really impressed me because I was expecting a slimy car salesman trying to gouge people who are blubbering and unable to think straight (such as my sister who kept saying things like, "Price is no object.") The prices were about what I thought they would be. The place looked very nice and clean and seemed very classy. He handed out a folder with great advice and resources and walked everyone through the process. There was coffee, a bathroom, a water fountain, and probably a lot of other things that I didn't know about. They also have a therapy dog named Rose who was either trained to detect who in a group is the most distraught, or she knows instinctively, because she went right to my sister and comforted her, and also she would check on the others there.

My only complaint would be that my loved one died on a Saturday morning. I tried to contact them on Sunday during business hours and spoke with someone who said a funeral director would call me back, but no one did. However, once I called on Monday and spoke directly with a funeral director, everything proceeded smoothly from there. All the paperwork is done on-line. Their prices are good, a big part of this is likely because the office on Millikan (in the City Hall Building in the Beaverton Round) is apparently just a small office with low overhead. The cremation is done through Riverview Abbey. It was done quickly and I was able to pick them up at the Millikan office (you can also pick up at Riverview Abbey). They can mail them to you as well. Obtaining death certificates through them was also easy, as was getting an obituary posted to their website. They are very professional, responsive, and happy to help.

If you find yourself in this circumstance, please let me help you. CALL GREEN HILLS! Their staff helped my sister with the kindness of a friend. Their staff is wonderful. They were able to respectfully and kindly make all arrangements over the phone. When they reviewed the costs and contract with my sister, she felt compelled to confirm the prices with them three times as their costs were exponentially lower than the other local funeral homes. After the cremation process, which occurred in a timely manner, their staff shipped my nephew's cremated remains to us. They shipped the cremated remains in a well-packed and secured container. They took care in their efforts and we are incredibly grateful for all that the staff of Green Hills Crematory has done on behalf of our family. They helped lighten our burden in our hours of grief. These are good people doing a great job under very difficult circumstances. I highly recommend them.

We had a deeply disappointing experience with Evergreen Memorial Gardens regarding our parents' arrangements. When our mother passed away in 2020, important details were missed and communication was extremely poor. Despite that, our father chose to continue with Evergreen because he and our mother had made pre-arrangements there. Before his unexpected passing last year, our father had decided to make changes to these arrangements. We contacted Evergreen so he could convey his wishes directly, but received no meaningful assistance. After his death--despite presenting a notarized document clearly stating his intentions--we were treated as though we were being dishonest. Evergreen's President, Lindsay Fisher, was largely unavailable, unsympathetic, and at times condescending. We ultimately had to hire an attorney, at significant expense, just to ensure our parents' wishes were honored. This caused unnecessary stress and heartache during an already painful time. Adding to the disappointment, staff attempted to sell us pre-arrangements for ourselves during a meeting just days after our father's passing--an insult considering the distress we endured. We deeply regret placing our trust in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. We encourage others to seek a provider that demonstrates genuine compassion, clear communication, and professionalism when families are most in need of care and respect.

I went with them as they were the best for what we could afford. I never felt judged by them nor was I pressured into trying to buy more than I was seeking. Their receptionist and director? were both great. Thank you to them! I felt my parents were handled with dignity and respect.
