Further they were pushing for complete replacement of the entire system despite the fact that this system had passed and inspection three years prior and had been completely unused since then. We're talking thousands for a new system folks. Glad I got a second opinion from another company that issued a clean bill of health for the existing system and stated that "NO REPAIRS ARE NEEDED"! I accepted because they could be there quickly. On the day of service it was NOT the same person. They took down the trees (without any special equipment) that were overhead of the driveway but left leaning trees. When I inspected the work I pointed out other trees in the same bunch leaning toward the driveway. They wanted another $50 (cash) to take down the 4 trees I could see. After they were done there were still some trees leaning toward the driveway. I was out of cash and gave up. If you use these guys be sure you are clear on what they are going to do. They will want the specific number of trees you want removed.

In addition to my original review, I had the experience of using the garbage/dump portion of the…read morewaste management facility today. After dropping off some household chemicals, motor oil, and antifreeze at the Hazohouse, I headed up to the garbage drop off. I was nervous at first because I thought it was going to be a huge process to drop off my stuff but you just drive in past the dog park and head up to the first weight station. Wait for your turn and then drive up to the booth and have your drivers license or ID ready. They will scan your ID and then give you a card with a barcode on it which you need to hold onto so you can show it at the booth at the exit. Then you wait for an open parking stall. Most people backed into the stalls because it's easier to push your refuse over the rails down into the dump container below. It's actually pretty organized. I thought it was going to be a huge landfill that you have to find a spot and where the least amount of trash is and toss your stuff. It wasn't like that at all. I had a Uhaul 10ft truck and I'm actually glad the rails that prevent you from failing into the container are there because they help you get the leverage you need to toss large objects without hurling yourself into the container as well. Still...be safe and don't toss with too much force and make sure your footing is good so you don't slip. Kids have to stay within your vehicle for safety reasons. They have a separate section for yard waste and large appliances, so look for the signage. I kind of hated to use the dump to toss my furniture but after calling Goodwill, Value Village, and Habitat for Humanity and all of them saying they weren't currently taking furniture or being too selective on what furniture they'd take, I decided to just get rid of it in one go. I'm glad I did because the process was easy. Once you're done tossing your junk, head to the exit, give the pay booth your barcode card and pay. The receipt they give you even shows your starting weight versus your ending weight so you know what you're paying for. $64 for two full U-Haul loads of furniture, trash, bedding, and household items. I felt that was reasonable and saved me a lot of time. I also found out that you can recycle styrofoam down by the Hazohouse along with all the other items I listed in my original review.

Charles, the sewage expert from AAA inspected our septic tank which he said wasn't the source of the smell and that we didn't need to pump and refill. Saving us a cool $500. Provided instruction on how to 'clean' our lines from the house to the septic and further instructed us to contact a plumber to have our P traps cleaned and that will resolve the smell. He could have easily said we need our tank pumped, however, told us we could get another 2 years of service with our existing septic tank system. Highly recommend AAA and Charles!

I called around an AAA was the only one to return my call, they had same-day availability (for a fee), and came right out. AAA pumped out my septic tank, cleaned the filter, and checked the system. The driver showed me the problem that caused the backup (lack of maintenance on my part) and gave me tips on caring for my system to prevent BIG problems while they're small and manageable. They were supposed to trim a laurel hedge, but decided to only trim it as far up as they could reach without bothering to do the upper couple of feet. It is a horrible mess. They were supposed to re-gravel the driveway, but, brought such a fine-grade gravel that it was more dust than stones. I spoke about that and Sam Hill, the owner, said "It'll be fine once it rains." NO it's not. Most of the "gravel" blew away. It's a lumpy mess. I had also specified that I wanted the gravel to go all the way out to the edges of the current drive. I even said "I want it wide." Wasn't done. I complained and Sam said, "It looks like a nice, strip up the middle." He said if I wanted it out to the edges, he could write up another bid!!!! I had gone out the day before and weeded and made the edges of the drive very clear. These lazy people didn't even bother to move a trash can that was at the side: they just left it un-graveled. They didn't spread gravel over the entire area that is the turn-around either. You can see where they just put their gravel around in patches when they thought they could get away with leaving the old gravel. They cut a 50-year old lilac down to the ground for no reason at all. Apparently, Sam's parents own a nursery, so he "made it right" by putting 2 inch tall cuttings in its place. I objected because lilacs are very slow growing. Sam said "Oh, no...they grow really fast." NOT TRUE. I then went to a nursery and picked out a 4 foot tall lilac that would still not make up for the towering one that had been destroyed, but would be better than cuttings. Sam said he'd go get it. Well, he must have gone back to mom and dad again. They planted a one foot tall weakling that is now dead. I wanted them to plant something to mask my neighbors fence from view. I said something flowering, like a dogwood or cherry. I expected someone who calls himself a landscaper to know plants; to know what would grow in the space indicated. I babied that tree for months, but...it's now dead, too. So, thousands of dollars went for damage and ignorance and laziness and refusal to repair what they ruined. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.
