I called during lunch to ask a few questions about the menu. The lady I spoke with was very polite and patient, especially because I had a few questions and I'm sure they were busy. She was very nice and even text me a picture of their menu. "She" was the owner and super nice when I went in to pick up my order as well. I ordered the stir fry bowl with brown rice, and it was delicious. Chicken was nice and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Whenever I've ordered from a place that has "healthy food" the food always lacks flavor or it's dry. My food was freshly made and defiantly not lacking flavor. They have a lot of food options and combinations. If you want something delicious that you don't have to feel guilty about eating try them out. Small owned business. I've lost a lot of weight & it's mostly due to eating these meals daily. You can order for delivery or you can pick them up. They have wonderful monthly treats & a really cool menu that rotates weekly. One of my favorite parts about them, is it's a locally owned business and it's ran by a family. That's really cool! Also they have actual nutritionist so the meals are protein packed but also, well balanced. Modern Grub is really mindful about what they put in their food and what ultimately is put into our (us grubber's) bodies, that's a help that is much needed for myself. The only meals i am eating are modern grub ones. Unless i have a cheat day or I'm with someone who is cooking etc. I am disabled, so cooking with my heart condition ( alone) is difficult and i was eating out a lot. These meals are cheaper than eating out. I have no reason not to get them, in my honest opinion: if i can buy fast food everyday. I can save some money (and calories, carbs, fat, weight, etc) and just buy some mg meals. Literally i pop one in the microwave and in about 3 minutes i have my food. Doordash can't beat that. Not even with an extra fee, Orders are due by Thursday at noon and they use shop pay, that's an app i trust fully for transactions. I highly recommend giving them a try over other national prep services; that send frozen meals and use preservatives. Also, the open kitchen concept provides a really good ambience when you walk in. We did have to wait quite a while for our food, which would have been understandable if the quality matched the wait, but it did not. The beans, it was mostly sauce with barely any actual beans in it. We literally counted only three beans. The tri-tip was decent, but nothing memorable. The mac and cheese was also just okay and lacked flavor. The biggest disappointment, though, was the ribs they were cold, and one section still had blood coming out, which was very off-putting. For this being our first experience with Big Al's BBQ, it definitely was not the impression we were hoping for. Sadly, we were not impressed and will not be returning.
