Stopped into this place for a quick drink with a friend whilst visiting Asheville. It's a cozy little place, dim lighting, with bar, table, and booth seating. The staff was friendly and there were lots of specials on drinks. The night I was there was close to closing time so people were just drinking, chatting, and chilling out. Perfect for catching up with a friend. They seem to have events most nights, look mostly to be DJ type, not sure if they have live entertainment at times or not. Will definitely come back earlier in the evening to catch one of their events.

I thought I had visited this place before but turns out I had just gone to the sister location. If you're looking for a dive bar, display should probably be one of your very first options. It's a downtown staple. I really appreciate it. In terms of parking and location. Located on a major Street in downtown, but far enough away from the craziness. The person who checked us and helped us with the "membership "and was so friendly. The bartenders were absolutely delightful as well. I love that they have a ton of options that are really affordable. From fancy to cheap and everything in between (beer, liquor, non-alcoholic). They had some pretty good all these playing in a DJ showing up at 10 on a Friday night. Felt busy but not too crazy.

Pho! Bun! I say again: PHO! BUN!…read moreRIGHT HERE! Broadway's is still the same unassuming neighborhood bar it has always been. But friends, now it has Pho! And Bun! Really decent Pho! Really decent Bun! Flawless pho broth. Perfect noodles. Some of the tastiest bun I have ever eaten. (They call the bun "vermicelli", BTW.) Go there now and get you some Pho! And Bun!

I haven't actually been in Broadways since the change and was pleased to find it's still the same old place, just perhaps a little cleaner which is nice! We ordered three dishes to get a broad spectrum of their offerings, and well we got a wide variety of quality along with those dishes. At the recommendation of the chef I ordered the Pho and man I was not disappointed! A super flavorful broth that smelled divine was filled with perfectly cooked noodles and both meatballs and sliced beef. I inhaled it and loved every bite. I'd have given them a 5 star review if we'd stopped there. I'm a sucker for dumplings so we ordered the fried pork dumplings, they came a bit soggy with oil, a fast food chain tub of sauce and were unmemorable in flavor. I'd have given them a 3 star review based on just the dumplings. We decided to go for the Pad Thai special for our third dish and got it with chicken. The dish didn't really taste much like any Pad Thai I've ever had but wasn't unpleasant in sauce and noodle, it came with shrimp which was a little odd and the shrimp were a little bit over done. The killer here was the chicken. Have you ever microwaved raw chicken? You know how chewy and dry it gets? Well that's what was in our Pad Thai. It was really really bad. If this was the only thing we'd ordered I would have given them a 2 star review. That Pho though! Good enough that I will go back since the only other Pho I think is remotely as good is the recently renamed Pho R Us in south Asheville and I live a mere mile from Broadways. If I ever venture away from the Pho again and it's good I'll update this review rating!

Every corner is styled like its own unique vintage living room, with incredible attention paid to every single design element. Definitely take a lap around the entire space to soak in the full vibe! Do yourself a favor and check out their merch while you're at it; it's top-notch. The bar staff was incredibly welcoming and mixed up some phenomenal drinks. Both "The Death Becomes Her" and "He Likes To Call Me Peaches" were fantastic. They also have a massive events area and were promoting a ton of cool stuff--including a live dating show where people pitch their friends to potential dates! This was my first visit, but it certainly won't be my last.

There is tons of seating indoors and a cute backyard feeling outdoor patio. Even though it's a huge space, it's extremely intimate. The 70s living room decor is so cute. I came here with two friends, but it's also awesome for bigger groups. They have an amazing menu of signature cocktails and mocktails. We were there on an evening they were celebrating a bday with Hail Mary. They seem to have a lot of cool local events. The bartenders were amazing! They were beyond friendly and just so down to earth. We went straight to the indoor bar when we arrived and were served almost immediately. I want to plan another trip to AVL soon just so I can spend more time at DayTrip.
