When we got here we checked in…read moreand were told what site to park the RV and the trailer in and once we pulled into the site they assigned us to we saw that the pull through site was too small so we had to move to another site and try it again. This site was a good fit. We had to park the Jeep away from our site because there wasn't any room for it. The park and people working here were good. The grounds around the RV park were in poor condition. The grass between the sites were very long. No edging either. The WiFi was good and the place was clean otherwise. The big problem was the street access coming into and exiting the RV Park was terrible! Pit holes so large you would of thought land mines had gone off. This is unacceptable!!! Going in and out each day was a major chore. Kind wouldn't stay here again unless the road is fixed. Oh heck no!!!!!

The annual Redwood Acres Fair, (it's a small fair that runs for about a week, but it's always fun.). And one of the funniest shows I ever saw here, was called "extreme midget wrestling." I recently attended one of their summertime monthly events, called "acres of eats." a good sized selection of food trucks/trailers, entertainment, activities for the kids, etc. It was a wide selection of food. I had. A stew and an empanada from a Colombian food trailer. It was absolutely delicious, and the price was very reasonable. If you have a chance to go to this event, or anything else else at Redwood acres, it's worth it. I hope Redwood acres lasts for a long time coming. It's a wonderful asset to Eureka.

Additionally, the event (forgot the name) allowed the students to go on a hay ride and sit inside of a parked helicopter where race cars /monster trucks arena is usually held. Overall, it is a nice place to experience large events to small events like the county covid testing area.

The park is…read morenestled in a wooded setting, surrounded by trees and greenery, providing a relaxing atmosphere. We were able to get one of the sites with a deck that overlooks the pond. Our site had two wooden Adirondack chairs, a small drink table, a picnic table, and a fire pit. There is a trellis fence between each site which provides privacy. The park is located next to Sue-Meg State Park. We walked to the park one morning and hiked the Rim Trail. The short distance to the park made taking our car unnecessary, always a nice bonus. The park is clean and well maintained, and staff are friendly and welcoming. The only negative of this location is that you are right next to US 101, so you do hear a little traffic noise. But you are also next to the ocean, so you also hear the Sea Lions. So take one star off for the traffic noise, but add an additional star for the Sea Lions.

The bed is a little hard but slept fine through the night. Hot water worked. Located super close to Trinidad center and beach. The cabin itself it's really small perfect for a couple or solo stay. There was plenty of pillows which I loved. A little tip: I don't know if it had any correlation but when using the sink multiple times I only had freezing cold water. Once I turned on the shower later that day the hot water started flowing, I checked the sink again and I started to get hot water in the sink as well.

Nobody answered then shortly after a lady called was very rude and said the park was closed on Sundays while we were trying to ask the question she hung up I would not recommend this park not sure what the problem is, but they obviously have the wrong people working for them. I would think that they're in the business of making money and a half empty park is not making money we did, however, travel on to another park that readily accepted our reservations at the last minute, even though it was their last day for the season.

My wife, her mom, and I came here as our second stop (09:05) on day five of our Northern California road trip. There is a big parking lot with plenty of spots to shop and admire. The gift shop is named Burl N' Drift Redwood and had a lot of souvenirs made out of recovered redwood. We ended up buying a few things. At the west end of the parking lot, there is a thousand year old-growth redwood. It has survived a lightning strike, a loggers axe, and a forest fire, symbolizing the resiliency of the mighty redwoods. It's worth stopping by to take a picture or two.
