This site was a good fit. We had to park the Jeep away from our site because there wasn't any room for it. The park and people working here were good. The grounds around the RV park were in poor condition. The grass between the sites were very long. No edging either. The WiFi was good and the place was clean otherwise. The big problem was the street access coming into and exiting the RV Park was terrible! Pit holes so large you would of thought land mines had gone off. This is unacceptable!!! Going in and out each day was a major chore. Kind wouldn't stay here again unless the road is fixed. Oh heck no!!!!!

As for events, You name the event, I've probably been to it. Auto racing, the circus, I saw the lippizaner stallions here the Sunday flea market. The annual Redwood Acres Fair, (it's a small fair that runs for about a week, but it's always fun.). And one of the funniest shows I ever saw here, was called "extreme midget wrestling." I recently attended one of their summertime monthly events, called "acres of eats." a good sized selection of food trucks/trailers, entertainment, activities for the kids, etc. It was a wide selection of food. I had. A stew and an empanada from a Colombian food trailer. It was absolutely delicious, and the price was very reasonable. If you have a chance to go to this event, or anything else else at Redwood acres, it's worth it. I hope Redwood acres lasts for a long time coming. It's a wonderful asset to Eureka.

Redwood Acres has a series of buildings which accommodates to various needs…read more I have been able to attend the Humboldt Roller Derby, Healthy Humboldt aka Festejando Nuestra Salud (both as a participant and a volunteer, assisting a Doctor give shots to low income families), volunteered with Elders Inner Tribal Dinner (where yummy Wiyot Tacos are sold) & have came here on a field trip with a school to look at heavy machinery (bulldozers etc.) laid out inside where cars usually park while people are having wood cutting competitions and animal demonstrations are being held next door to the brewery. Additionally, the event (forgot the name) allowed the students to go on a hay ride and sit inside of a parked helicopter where race cars /monster trucks arena is usually held. Overall, it is a nice place to experience large events to small events like the county covid testing area.

My dog could not walk on it and it kept getting dragged into RV on shoes and socks. - Pro- Bathroom was close without being next door to this site. - Sunnier spot.

I would think that they're in the business of making money and a half empty park is not making money we did, however, travel on to another park that readily accepted our reservations at the last minute, even though it was their last day for the season.

Managers keep the park clean and are helpful all hours of the day. Security is top notch-guests must check in at the front and we are all kept safe with management being on top of everything. Quiet, no freeway noise. A new walking trail is being erected which makes the park more welcoming. Plan to stay here as long as I can. A huge thankyou to management for all they do! I was here in June for a family reunion to see relatives, I had not seen in 50 years. It's even possible one of them had worked here as a maid in the 70s or 80s so that was really interesting. It was her old stomping ground. She lived here the rest of the family live nearby. This is a throwback to the 1970s which is why it's so charming and I think that's why so many people would love it. I didn't get to walk the grounds until the last day but there is actually an old-fashioned 70s style arcade with pinball machine machines it's just exactly like how it was when we were kids in the 70s and went camping with our parents. That's the type of stuff you would find. There's an old gathering hall in the back with wood floors that hasn't been used probably forever, which is gorgeous, there's a little Arboretum in the middle of the square that they light up every night with little violet lights. It's beautiful and you can tell that was an old area where there's a fountain that's no longer working. All charming and quaint. There's a little fire pit you can walk to in the back that looks like the type of fire pit we had at camp in 1975. It just has that old vibe that everyone loves and is disappearing everywhere so I pray they never change anything, but I don't think they will. The cabins are the same they're old-fashioned and beautiful however, inside they have been somewhat modernized because that's the world we live in people would be upset if things were original I wouldn't but a lot of people would. I found it to be gorgeous and quiet. The only complaint I had and they did give me back some money for that and I really do appreciate that is that my little mini fridge was rocking and making a lot of noise all night and that did keep me from sleeping, that was rough. I'm a light sleeper and I found the rooms to be cold because it's regulated heat and I didn't know I could go up and ask for a space heater or bring one so I didn't now I know. To answer the question would I come back again?? 100% I loved it there and of course the kitchenette was filled with everything you need, I didn't take a shower there which sounds bad because I was freezing, but the showers were clean. The bathrooms were nice. The room was small, but really good for the price. I do plan to come back next May and hopefully I'm on great terms with them. I think my little complaints or issues were reasonable and fair or they wouldn't have refunded but I'm glad that they did and I'm glad I brought it up so the next person doesn't go through those issues and I'm glad that I'm letting people know if you do get cold there. You can ask for a space heater or bring your own but just make sure you let them know. Let them know you brought it because space heaters are fire hazards and you don't want to cause trouble in a beautiful area like this Also, they did have an incredible campground which I left out so there was an area for RVs and then in the back there were actual pads where people had tents and camping gear and all I thought was wow I wish I could do that next time maybe my cousin will do that with me for a day or two and I can have the cabin as well oh, and I did forget to mention that some of the cabins had fireplaces which I think I will try to get next Time. My wife, her mom, and I came here as our second stop (09:05) on day five of our Northern California road trip. There is a big parking lot with plenty of spots to shop and admire. The gift shop is named Burl N' Drift Redwood and had a lot of souvenirs made out of recovered redwood. We ended up buying a few things. At the west end of the parking lot, there is a thousand year old-growth redwood. It has survived a lightning strike, a loggers axe, and a forest fire, symbolizing the resiliency of the mighty redwoods. It's worth stopping by to take a picture or two.

Always a surprise. RV parks can be deceiving. Websites…read morecan glorify them. But you find out strange things when you stay in them. This one's no exception. MRR park has nice level paved sites. Full hook ups. Bathrooms are relatively clean. This is where it gets weird. I wanted to shower one evening. When I entered the steamy bathhouse I discovered a man partially clothed laying on the floor in the shower-hot water running. I immediately asked if he was okay. He said nothing but closed the shower curtain. I suddenly felt creeped to take my shower. But I did so watching my back. I told the gals in the office what I saw. They did not act surprised as though it was a common occurrence. What the hell is that?? Another thing I noticed about this park; there appeared to be some rather permanent campers lurking throughout the park. Perhaps years. Potted plants, junk piled around their campers, and dog fencing is not an overnight thing. The overall vibe of this place saddened me.

The internet well there is no internet. That's right there is no cable and no internet. Oh wait they say they have the best internet ever. So we try to get internet and there is none. Call the office no answer. Read the full page of rules and regulations and guess what. Wi-fi : " We offer WiFi service , but do not guarantee its availability or security at any time". Ok guess what I'll guarantee I won't come back. Asta la vista!
