Fish and shrimps with great hush puppies

HOLY SMOKES!!! My boyfriend and I who are both originally from Houston now live in NWA. I was in Little Rock for a Drs appointment and my boyfriend found this place on google. When I tell you it was the best food and friendliest service. He had the fish and shrimp and I had fried oysters. We also had the boudin balls. Even the tartar sauce was amazing. Not pictured is the peach pie we brought home and shared in like 2 bites each. Honestly 5 stars is not enough for this unassuming little place.

3 piece fried catfish basket. They gave me 4 pieces instead of 3. The sides were good too.

Good find for great catfish. Counter service only. The food was a bit slow to come out, but it was definitely cooked fresh. The restaurant itself is very dark inside, and a bit on the run-down side, but the food was excellent, so I won't hold that against them too much. I don't live nearby, but my dad said he'd definitely come back.

We visited Lazy Pete's for the first time on a Monday for lunch. The place was busy with a lot of walk-in to-go pickups and had many people seated at he various booths and tables. It's a small and cozy place, not too loud even though it was nearly full with patrons. Orders are take at the cash register by the friendly and helpful staff at this family-run restaurant. If you want some good home style catfish, this place was excellent. My catfish dinner was plentiful, with the catfish filets cooked just right. The fresh cut fries were hot and crispy. The fried shrimp dinner was excellent, too. Prices were quite reasonable.

Thoroughly enjoyed the grilled snapper, grilled fresh vegetables and deliciously seasoned rice. My mother greatly enjoyed her fried shrimp with French fries and coleslaw. She said it was the best coleslaw she has ever had. I couldn't help but snag some of the yummy freshly cut french fries. Our meal was served promptly.

Using the AroundMe app to find restaurants near the Hilton Garden Inn / West Little Rock, I saw Lazy Pete's Fish & Shrimp. Checked out the Yelp reviews and decided to do dinner there. This is a Neighborhood Gem. Enjoyed fried Catfish, Shrimp, Oysters, and Chicken Wings. The food was DELICIOUS!!! Service was quick and friendly. DEFINITELY will return every time business brings me back to Little Rock.

I had just arrived in Little Rock and was treated here and let me say.. I was told how good the wings were BUT... you know i needed to see for myself. They closed at 8.. so there were some customers finishing up their dining with some waiting for their orders. The place dining area was clean for the most part. The guy working at the counter who was taking orders was friendly! Thank you for that. Now on to the food! Whew! those wings were amazing! I got the country fried & bbq flavors and i could've legit just got all of them country fried they were delish! You all receive 5 stars from me. I would recommend! Thank you guys!

I really enjoyed coming here with myself and my little one. We ordered the shrimp and fish platter as well as a cup of gumbo. The lady who took our order was very helpful as it was my first time it was very patient with us. She gave us her recommendations and they didn't disappoint. Our food came up fast and hot. The fish was very crispy and flavorful. The gumbo was a little above average. I will say I am from Louisiana so I may be a little biased but it was okay for arkansas. My kid enjoyed it so it was fine. I will say that the space gives "hole in the wall-esq" vibes. But we ate in and enjoyed everything. I will definitely be going back and try some of their grilled options. But it definitely gave me my fix for fried food.

Chicken tender with fries and hush puppies

Coming from out of state (NV). The restaurant is a bit dark but the food and service is wonderful. The crawfish is very nicely seasoned along with the chicken tenders and calamari. The food came out very fast and it was reasonably priced for seafood. I definitely recommend if you're are looking for some great seafood.

This catfish is the real deal!! Great food! No frills but I came for great food and that is what I got! Staff is very friendly and kind!

Decided to go in there after checking some good reviews from fellow yelpers. For a place that has Lazy in their name they are on their toes pretty much it got a bit busy whenever I was there got me the 2 meat platter with Catfish and shrimp fries Cole slaw and red beans and rice as extra. Everything was fresh and spot on I'm glad we have some good food option in the Chenal Pkwy area. The sweet tea was good super sweet as it should be and service was nice and friendly. The catfish was the star of the day and the coke slaw hit the spot my least favorite were the fries but can't wait to go back and try their other food options. Will recommend 100% and Let the good times roll

Pulling into the parking lot, we noticed that the parking lot had at least eight cars, leading us to believe that this restaurant was popular with the locals. Upon walking in, we were quickly seated by a host and shortly greeted by our server, Tylia, who promptly took our order and was just as prompt, if not quicker, with the delivery of our bags of shrimp boil! I ordered a custom bag of half a pound of shrimp with heads and sausage, which came with potatoes and a corn cob. My associates ordered the same, but with snow crab legs. It was all piping hot and delicious. I only left sausages in my bag, but only because couldn't eat any more! Tylia was very responsive to our needs, often checking in with us to ensure we were well taken care of. This also prompted us to order additional items, like bread sticks and a cheese cake! I took notice of the establishment, noting that it was clean and well lit. In the end, we left with warm hearts and extremely full bellies.

New Orleans Approved!…read more As New Orleanians and self-proclaimed foodies, my wife and I have pretty discerning palates when it comes to seafood. While visiting Little Rock, the technician who was doing my wife's pedicure recommended her brother's restaurant, The Oyster Bar. We already had reservations elsewhere, but after looking at The Oyster Bar's menu, we canceled our original plans--and we're glad we did. Food (10/10) Hush Puppies (10/10): Quite possibly the best hush puppies I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, with jalapeños that added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the flavor. Crab Claws (10/10): Outstanding. They reminded me of a favorite dish from Copeland's back home in New Orleans--hot, buttery, flavorful and served in a generous portion. Seafood Combo (10/10): Fried Oysters (10/10): Perfectly fried with a crisp exterior and a creamy interior. Well seasoned and absolutely delicious. Cheese Grits (9/10): Rich, creamy and cheesy. We paired them with the shrimp scampi and essentially created our own version of shrimp and grits. Shrimp Scampi (8/10): The shrimp were plump, juicy and cooked well, though I would've enjoyed a bit more seasoning. Crab Cake (10/10): The standout of the meal. This crab cake was towering, packed with what seemed like 99% crab meat and full of flavor. The seafood combo is a great value. Chocolate Cheesecake (9/10): Smooth, creamy and chocolatey. Cheesecake isn't usually our first dessert choice, but we're chocolate lovers, and this one definitely delivered. Piña Colada Mocktail (9/10): Sweet, smooth, refreshing and loaded with pineapple flavor. Exactly what I look for in a tropical mocktail. Service (9/10) Our server, Tallon, was friendly, attentive and genuinely hospitable. She was efficient, checked on us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. It's always refreshing to have a server who doesn't disappear after the food arrives. Ambiance (8/10) The atmosphere is casual, bright and airy with a comfortable noise level that makes conversation easy. If a couple from New Orleans--where great seafood is practically a birthright--can enthusiastically recommend The Oyster Bar, that's saying something. We'd happily return the next time we're in Little Rock.

The fried okra appeared to be whole baby okra. I have never had it prepared that way and found it to be very pleasing to the palate. The mustard greens were equally delicious. The service was slightly disappointing, which led to a four star rather than five star rating from me. The restroom is on one corner of the restaurant. Unfortunately, we were seated in the farthest corner from that restroom. It's a fairly large building with multiple rooms. Going forward, I will ask to be seated closer to the restroom. My mother has dementia and the distance to the restroom made things a little difficult for us. It might be also be difficult with small children.

Well, I am happy to report that it IS true, that Petit & Keet is an outstanding restaurant. We made it in, in time for their terrific happy hour at the bar. Packed at 5:00 PM on a Tuesday (who woulda thunk that?) we were able to squeeze in and jump in on their goodies. The HH Menu was so appealing we would up just tasting several things; for starters, their signature frozen drink, the Peechy Keet, was absolutely phenomenal (it might also be because it was over 100 degrees outside). Not too sweet, nicely fruity and packing a punch. The Crudites was atypical with a larger assortment of veggies (including some tasty Sheshido peppers) and a really, unique and delish hummus. Next up; the Tuna Tostada. This could actually be my favorite item on the menu; sashimi grade tuna on a larger Tostada, perfectly marinated. Yummy. We topped things off with the Empanadas' that were also delectable; plenty of filling, not overly fried so as to be firm but chewable. I can't believe we wound up being stuffed, and sadly, it prevented us from diving into what looked like some wonderful entrees. Next time! A special note to the management; your bartender (sorry, her name escapes me, but she's in the pic with my wife and me) was as phenomenal as the food & drink (and the decor; sorry I hadn't mentioned that before, but it is a lovely space). She was everything (and more) for what someone behind the bar should be, an expert concotionist, professional, fun (and funny) and on top of everything at a packed bar/restaurant. Can you say "deserves a raise" with me? Also, loved the story of the place on the menu. It feels great to see a local place like Petit and Keet deliver top notch food, service and environment.
