This restaurant is located in a small strip mall and nothing fancy to look at, however I have always found these plain Jane places to have the best food and lazy Pete's fits that bill. The place is very plain but that is fine. The service is good and is not served at your table. You Oder at the counter and they call your number to come up and get it. HOLY SMOKES!!! My boyfriend and I who are both originally from Houston now live in NWA. I was in Little Rock for a Drs appointment and my boyfriend found this place on google. When I tell you it was the best food and friendliest service. He had the fish and shrimp and I had fried oysters. We also had the boudin balls. Even the tartar sauce was amazing. The restaurant itself is very dark inside, and a bit on the run-down side, but the food was excellent, so I won't hold that against them too much. We visited Lazy Pete's for the first time on a Monday for lunch. The place was busy with a lot of walk-in to-go pickups and had many people seated at he various booths and tables. It's a small and cozy place, not too loud even though it was nearly full with patrons. Orders are take at the cash register by the friendly and helpful staff at this family-run restaurant. If you want some good home style catfish, this place was excellent. My catfish dinner was plentiful, with the catfish filets cooked just right. The fresh cut fries were hot and crispy. The fried shrimp dinner was excellent, too. Prices were quite reasonable. read more

I wasn't aware that you have to order at a counter and then walk to another counter to pick up your food. But the food!! I had blackened redfish with a double order of the grilled vegtables. Huge portion. Ate it for 2 meals. I also ordered the fried green tomatoes thinking it would be 3-4 slices. It was 9 or 10. Way too much for me, but I loved it. Using the AroundMe app to find restaurants near the Hilton Garden Inn / West Little Rock, I saw Lazy Pete's Fish & Shrimp. Checked out the Yelp reviews and decided to do dinner there. This is a Neighborhood Gem. Enjoyed fried Catfish, Shrimp, Oysters, and Chicken Wings. The food was DELICIOUS!!! Service was quick and friendly. I had just arrived in Little Rock and was treated here and let me say.. I was told how good the wings were BUT... you know i needed to see for myself. They closed at 8.. so there were some customers finishing up their dining with some waiting for their orders. The place dining area was clean for the most part. I really enjoyed coming here with myself and my little one. We ordered the shrimp and fish platter as well as a cup of gumbo. The lady who took our order was very helpful as it was my first time it was very patient with us. She gave us her recommendations and they didn't disappoint. Our food came up fast and hot. The fish was very crispy and flavorful. The gumbo was a little above average. I will say I am from Louisiana so I may be a little biased but it was okay for arkansas. My kid enjoyed it so it was fine. I will say that the space gives "hole in the wall-esq" vibes. But we ate in and enjoyed everything. Coming from out of state (NV). The restaurant is a bit dark but the food and service is wonderful. The crawfish is very nicely seasoned along with the chicken tenders and calamari. Today being the only black people in the restaurant they decided to serve my wife and me last. We were the 2nd people in the building with a couple in front of us, their order was taken and the ours next. My ticket said 11:02 we sat and waited then another table had people now it's about 5 tables occupied. The people that walked in before us got their food then the third table got theirs I got ups and ask they said my food takes longer not it's 11:15 now another table is getting food, now I had enough it's 11:28 now I ask for a refund. With no explanation or we're sorry a refund. As we were leaving I noticed tables on the other side had food already. Never again will go to this place I guess black people eat last there. read more

Decided to go in there after checking some good reviews from fellow yelpers. For a place that has Lazy in their name they are on their toes pretty much it got a bit busy whenever I was there got me the 2 meat platter with Catfish and shrimp fries Cole slaw and red beans and rice as extra. Everything was fresh and spot on I'm glad we have some good food option in the Chenal Pkwy area. The sweet tea was good super sweet as it should be and service was nice and friendly. The catfish was the star of the day and the coke slaw hit the spot my least favorite were the fries but can't wait to go back and try their other food options. To finish off a wonderful day, we located a small Creole Cajun restaurant. The food was wonderful, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Nice and casual. You order at the counter, find a seat and wait for your order number to be called out. Since the food is cooked fresh, there is a short wait while you enjoy the company of your dining guest. So, I had to turn off my cell phone and pay attention. We started with Boudin Balls and Gumbo. For entrees we had a crawfish platter and a catfish platter. They let us substitute on one dish, the coleslaw for red beans and rice. If you are in Little Rock, drop by this restaurant often described as a hole-in-a-wall. People are likely not going for the atmosphere (stand in line to order and definitely nothing special about the dining area), but they're onto something with the food. The boiled shrimp were good. I got a half pound which was about 12 of them shell on, no heads. They were fresh shrimp, very basic with Cajun seasoning sprinkled on. The fried shrimp were pretty good. Red beans and rice was nothing to write home about. My buddy said his calamari was cooked to perfection. He thought the hush puppies were the frozen kind, but I liked them. We were in town for a concert and stumbled upon a couple of reviews for this place. We decided to give it and try and we were nothing but impressed! Days later now and my wife is still talking about the Blackened Salmon she had there! We tried the Boudin Balls, the corn fritters, I had the shrimp and the catfish and wings. Everything was excellent, perfectly cooked and very fresh!!! It's a small place, tucked in the corner of a shopping center but the food makes you think you are in a fancy New Orleans restaurant.
