This great small business was suggested to us by a fellow traveler for their Cape Cod Cranberry ice cream. We were able to have a sample before choosing our flavors. The waffle bowl was made fresh when we ordered. The owner couldn't have been nicer!! Her sister was there too and does all the sign lettering. The owner was so sweet - tries to teach this Michigander how to pronounce Falmouth. The small was two nice scoops. Stopped by Lazy Sundaes for some ice cream after dinner and was surprised to see vegan ice cream on the menu! I'm not vegan but lactose intolerant so anytime I can avoid dairy and the stomach pains that will go with it and still get ice cream I will take it. I had the vegan cookies and cream in a kiddie cup and it was about $4. The ice cream probably should have been called coconut cookies and cream because it had a very strong coconut flavor. Luckily, I am a fan of coconut so I enjoyed it but if you aren't maybe not the vegan ice cream for you. They also had lots of options for normal ice cream and tons of sizes and toppings. Amazing ice cream in cape cod near shining sea bike trail. I wanted to get ice cream before leaving cape cod and Lazy Sundae's did not disappoint! The shop itself is very cute with lots of fun, colorful decoration. Nearby there are some children's games like bumper boats. There was only one person serving ice cream and she was very patient as my friends and I sampled various favors. Turtle and lemon sorbet were good but I chose a small Black Raspberry, which is delicious. The cape cod cranberry sounded interesting but unfortunately, the chocolate overpowered the cranberry and walnut flavors. The small option is only 2 scoops but it's a LOT of ice cream..more like 2 mounds. The price is also very reasonable compared to other ice cream shops I've encountered. If I ever go back to cape cod, this will definitely be a stop on the trip. read more

This past weekend we stopped in at this ice cream shop after mini golfing next door. This isn't the first time we have come to this shop, but this most recent trip reminded us of why we love this place. This little shop in itself is as my wife calls it "the cutest thing." It is a brightly colored and decorated business with polite staff and an overwhelming selection of homemade ice creams. We ended up buying a few different flavors (no sugar added coffee, chocolate chip Oreo as well as their death by chocolate.) All three were incredible and the quantity was great for the pricing. We ended up sitting on their front deck enjoying the weather and ice cream which was an added plus and I can safely say that we will be back in the near future when visiting family. read more

Lazy Sundaes has the appearance of a tourist trap but don't be fooled - tourist traps look the way they do, because they're trying to *copy Lazy Sundaes*. Tons of flavors to choose from, and I love that they have cranberry ice cream. Tastes kinda like cherry ice cream, but I just like the idea of it. I would probably get the cranberry ice cream again, just because it's in Cape Cod, and cranberries, and, yeah. I'm sure the locals are sick of cranberries lol Anyway, the mint chip is also delicious, and was better than Smitty's (and I really liked Smitty's). The ice cream is homemade, with milk from a local farm. When there, check out the mini golf, batting cage, and bumper boats, all part of the same complex. If memory serves, there's also a lunch place attached to the same parking lot, or nearby, and they had good iced coffee. I hope I'm not getting confused! read more

Lazy Sundaes is a tiny ice cream stand located next door to the mini golf place. It's right down the road from another ice cream place so after trying that one, we wanted to try Lazy Sundaes another time. Lazy Sundaes offers the same flavors as all the other ice cream places in the area, which may actually be something used against them. The flavors are the same, but taste different at every place so it depends on a persons individual taste. Banana is my go to flavor and I got it at Lazy's as well as the coffee brownie ice cream. I've had better banana at other places, but liked Lazy Sundae's coffee brownie better than other places! So like I said it's up to individual taste. My boyfriend got a waffle cone (which takes a few minutes since they're made fresh) and he likes the fact that it was warm and fresh. The prices are the same everywhere but Lazy Sundae's has the advantage of being right next door to the mini golf place so you can do both! My only suggestion is maybe having more staff working during busy hours. Like at night. There were two young girls working, as well as an older women who I assume to maybe be the owner? But the line was long and didn't move fast, like the place down the road. One more staff person would of made all the difference. I'd suggest anyone in the area to try this place. read more

I've been in very very few places where the people who work there are equally as happy as Santa's elves, and the young young highschoolers who worked here were just too cute. Almost as cute as this whole ice cream place!! They were just smiling and all bubbly and made me want to order more ice cream than I even though I could eat! I bet that was their game plan ha ha Seriously though, this ice cream shop is painted in bright happy colors and they get ice cream delivered from Richardsons which is some of the best ice cream around. And when you find yourself reading over their list of flavors repeatedly and still not coming to a decision you know you are in a good bad decision situation! We ended up getting a kaluha brownie milkshake that was just what I had envisioned in my head and a scoop or two of turtle tracks which had these dark chocolate little bites of joy spread sporadically throughout the ice cream covered with real hot fudge. Mmmmmm And they even had cheap candy at the check out stand too in case you want to just solidify that that sugar craving of yours even more!! I wish this place was in Davis Square, but at least I now know the joy of Richardson's ice cream so next time I am in Davis I may have to stop by the Somerville Theater to pick some up rather than my usual JP Licks! My heart goes out to ice cream scoopers. It was my first job, at mac dairy farm in tewksbury. I would get flanked and know just how hard it is to manage the line. So when a group of 7 then afamily of 10 walked into the store, and there were only 2 people working... my heart went out. The girls stayed calm, on their game, and at no time appeared to be overwhelmed. They just took one order at a time, and everyone was super patient. They serve richardson ice cream (the same kind as mac's dairy), and it took me back. The vanilla frappe i had was excellent. they also offered waffle cones, sugar cones, and plain cones, rainbow, or chocolate sprinkles (jimmies in new england... even though i think that term isn't PC). Really, it's everything you need in an ice cream stand.... unless you want soft serve... because they don't have it...which sucks, but you can live. the real ice cream is better anyways. read more

They pack a lot into a small space here. Lazy Sundaes ice cream shop is adjacent to the mini golf and wiffle ball batting cage. The golf is well maintained and fun for the kids. There are 5 motorized bumper boats that they also enjoy. After an hour or so of golf, batting and bumping boats, an ice cream is just the thing to relieve the summer heat. On one of the busiest days of the season, on Fourth of July weekend, we didn't wait long for anything in the middle of the day. A great place to entertain the little ones. read more

Don't go here, after an initial friendly greeting we found this ice cream store strange and rude which communicated that they hate Jews and are itolerate of others religions and beliefs. We didn't say anything overtly religious or Jewish, but a back handed comment was made by more than one of the staff which indicated such hate. Don't spend money here. I met the owner, and he is REALLY friendly! There were also video games, and mini golf if you walk 30 seconds there to see it. We all sat in a gazebo that they had. Somerset creamery was PACKED down the street, but I had been sent on a mission for 4 people's ice cream, so I couldn't go back empty handed. Luckily I found this place and they saved the day. The black raspberry was really good, and my wife liked the buttercrunch. The mother in law had sugarless coffee, which just sounds gross so who even cares how that tasted. The father in law went with a sunday, but boring vanilla and chocolate. I guess it was good, I didn't get to try any and there wasn't any leftovers. The line was short and moved quickly. College bound high school kids doing the scoopin. Pretty standard ice cream setup. I'd guess the milk is locally sourced and everything is made in-house, so that's nice. read more

This is right down the road from my grandmother's summer house. My grandmother, I should add, will without fail request icecream post-dinner, so I feel I'm well qualified to judge icecream options in the general area. This is my favorite. The flavor options are great and numerous and, most importantly, well executed. Sizes are generous and prices are fairly reasonable (for the Cape). I haven't tried a flavor I didn't love, and even when they've been out of my first two picks I didn't have to resort to something I didn't really want. read more

I have severe allergies and was thrilled to walk into an ice-cream shop that had all of the allergy information in color coding next to each flavor! The girl behind the counter went about serving me as if I was a regular customer. She made it seem as though she did not mind the extra effort. She washed and scrubbed the scoop and even opened a new tub of ice cream to scoop from! It was busy that night and her and the manager just took it in stride. The frozen yogurt I got was delicious! Overall a terrific experience. I had gone to another local place the day before who were not only complacent about allergies, but actually served me the wrong ice cream which could have been catastrophic had I eaten it. I will return to Lazy Sundaes every time I visit the area. Thank you from myself and all allergy sufferers who just want to be able to eat ice cream and be treated like everyone else. read more
