Sal and the team at LB Walker are simply the BEST! They service and repair all of my cars and I couldn't be happier with their work. Sal is very upfront, honest and trustworthy! If I have any issues, I just take it in and they always take care of me. Thanks LB Walker!

I've never written a yelp review in my life. This will be my first because I do not want anybody else to go through what I went through. Do not take your vehicle here!!! They are shady as fuck. I brought my truck in to have a simple smog check. After the tests were completed, they go and tell me that I have a leaking brake line. Mind you I drove my truck from home and to and from work this whole past week without issue. Oh and I took a road trip to Idaho for a family reunion last week. I even flushed the brakes myself prior to the trip to make sure my maintenance was up to date. I go outside to take a look and my brake line was obviously cut and of course leaking break fluid! Mind you, I changed my stock lines to steel braided brake lines which do not tear. Never coming here again. And I strongly advise anybody else not to as well!!!!

Contrary to other reviews about this business, I had a very positive experience here at the shop. One must not judge an entire business based on a few negative reviews because most people who have a positive experience won't take the time to write about it. I recently inherited an old vehicle from my parents that had been neglected for 27k miles. The car needed every single maintenance you could think of. During these covid times, I've been trying my hardest to support the local economy as much as I can. I stumbled upon this business decided to give it a try. I made an appointment for 2 days ahead and the guy on the phone was very professional. He quoted me very reasonable prices, better than any other shop I've checked. All other shops required that I leave the car overnight but they were able to finish the work in just 4 hours. Impressive! After chatting with the owner for a little bit, I learned that they purchased the business from the previous owner 5+ years ago. Now it's just a father and son running it with a manager mechanic. I know from experience that owning and running your own business is not easy, and they've had some challenges but are doing ok now. I would say to give this shop a try. Support your local small businesses because you're helping another family keep the lights on and food on the table. When you bring your car in, you need to be very transparent about what you want and provide as much info about your car as possible. Edit: I ended up accidentally dropping my credit card inside the office and they called me to let me know. They're honest!

I really like this particular location. Please don't change, keep your standards of service,…read morequality, and integrity high. They are always helpful & friendly, they really do care about their customers safety on the road. They have good options, quality, values, and warranty options available. They will also service you just as good if you aren't there to spend, any or much money on new tires, rims etc. If you just want to have your air pressure checked, they got you & it's a little drive through part just for this you don't even have to get out of your car. If you have a hole in your tire that's fixable they will fix it & you won't have to wait forever (unless of course very busy can take longer) you can make appt or walk in. Their appointment process is easy & can get you in most of the time with flexible& quick if setting appointment or again can walk in. They're not going to try to upsell you or tell you it's anything other than what the issue is, in my experience with them. Say you have a slow leak and it is repairable you don't have to worry about them saying it's in an area that has to have the whole tire replaced etc they are honest! Huge deal for me in today's world.. I recently brought 2 tires from discount tire center ugh. I confused them with American tires because in Colorado & a few other states discount tire is the same company as, American tire in California is. Anytime,Id try to stop in to discount tire center to have my air pressure checked or if I had a slow leak once after buying 2 tires from them & wanted to see where it was coming from, discount would make me wait forever 2hr for slow leak (discount) & with warranty, but would pay all the attention to people potentially buying tires & let their customers who had already spent money, but there were just there for a little quick basic service (free services w warranty) stuff like this & make wait for hours, in my experience. I was telling American tire about this and how I just didn't like to have to go in there and deal with them for those 2 tires I got from them.. He said we can put your 2 tires under warranty for $25 each with us (American tires) even though, I bought them at discount tire center. Great! I paid for this & bought two new tires from America tires this day also, for a good price, decent brand, all weather tires. They are so helpful, and now, I'm able to have all my tires serviced here at American tires with warranty even though two were bought elsewhere, with small fee for warranty. Last unlike neighborhood tire shops they have America tire across the country so if you happen to be out of town & something comes up you can most likely find an America tires, and remember in certain states they are discount tires, but will never be called discount tire center! America tires or discount tires in certain states, no center at the end of name. I highly recommend & especially this particular location. I've always had really good experiences here.

I had an unexpected screw in my tire and stumbled across America's Tire in Signal Hill. I made an…read moreappointment as I didn't want to wait and needed it fix quickly (same day) and they were the only reputable shops (one of my mechanics recommended) that had same day availability for an appointment, although they do take walk ins. I didn't want to risk it. Anyway, I take the car in for my appointment and meet Nathan. Professional, efficient, etc. He advised me that patching/plugging a tire is free which I didn't realize. Pleasant surprise! He also let me know about my tire condition for all fours and let me know what replacing two rears would cost (performance tires = replace same side/size at a time). But here's the thing, he provided the info but there wasn't an uncomfortable hard sell. He was professional and comprehensive but at no time did I feel like I was being sweated or pressured. In fact, I remember sitting there thinking, "huh, well heck maybe I'll just buy them here when the time comes!" That's solely because Nathan came at me as a professional, with expertise, a calm composed demeanor, and information (not a pitch). As someone who has worked in the auto industry, including as a senior executive, it was so refreshing to be in a space seeing a young professional with a passion and expertise for his craft. Delivering it in a way that wasn't to aggressively close a deal but foster a relationship that would create a long term commitment to the brand. America's Tire, pay attention! All-in-all, I was impressed and my expectations were exceeded. Well done Nathan!
