She not only is amazing at design, but is very friendly and you can tell she wants the best for you, and not what will earn her the most money. I have been going to this nail shop for over 12 years. Location is perfect for me. I had the same nail tech for 10 years. She and her husband owned the shop. I knew her family. She was always in a good mood. The shop was a happy place to visit. She sold the shop. So, I was going to a tech named Lee who stayed on with the new owners. Lee had done my nails when the former owner was busy. I loved her. The new owners just fired her for a ridiculous reason. This wouldn't happened at most jobs. Especially with someone who is good at what they do. The most important asset when you own a business is always your people. When you have good people you go out of your way to keep them. She explained to me that even though the place I went to previously did a good job, the previous place (nail tech) made my SNS too thin and caused them to lift. Which is painful!! I was asked at least 6 times to spend $10 more for hot stones and after declining each time she suddenly stop being friendly and didn't give my toes the love and care they deserved. I'm really picky about the way my nails look and I had been struggling to find a salon that shaped them the way I wanted and made them even. I went in to get my acrylics removed and get a gel manicure and I think my experience at LD was probably the best I've ever had. My nail technician suggested I get SNS Instead of a gel, because it's a lot better for your nails and I thought it was great. The color, shape and size were exactly what I wanted. The salon has a nice setup and my nail technician was very nice, although I can't remember her name. My one complaint though is that she kept suggesting other colors to me saying they would look better when I had already decided what I wanted. I'm super indecisive and for me to have chosen a color meant that I had already thought about it for a while, so that was kind of annoying. Update: I have gone to this salon 4 times prior to this most recent visit last week (last week of June) and I always saw the lady with the glasses named Kim. She has done my nails with 100% satisfaction. However the last visit I went she wasn't there and since I drove 40 minutes to get there and waited nearly 30 mins to be seen (which is ok) I got with the young guy there. While he is charming and kind, he seemed very rushed with my nails and didn't really ask me how I wanted them at all. He even saw someone he knew...a very young blonde girl who then he hugged for an awkwardly long amount of time (this made me very uncomfortable) and was extremely distracted with the rest of the time he did my nails. He barely spoke to me but did speak with her frequently. This really made me feel like he wasn't interested in me as a customer. Also he couldn't do the design I wanted and seemed like he didn't really want to attempt to do it since he really wanted to hurry and do his friends nails as it appeared to me. Several weren't even the same length as the others and the polish seemed really thick like almost goopy looking to me. The shape was wrong and it didn't seem like rocket science to me since I had the correct shape prior to him doing my nails and he had to know that it was what I wanted. I felt like I couldn't really say something because he was so rushed and distracted and honestly, I just wanted my experience to end and get out of there. It was one of the worst experiences I've had in a salon in all my 20 years of getting my nails done. I probably won't return. I had to remove a star due to this, but I do hope others get Kim and some of the other ladies working there that are so wonderful! Nail tech took her time, was super patient with my child being there with me and did exactly what I asked her to do. Spa was super clean and nice. All the staff very friendly and helpful. Got my nails done and they look horrible. I got dark blue nails and yet there's somehow red sparkles in it. When I told the lady she then sat there and called me complicated in Vietnamese simply because I didn't like the unwanted red sparkles on my nails. There is still red sparkles in my nails. They also can't do simple designs, so if you're looking for a place that can, I don't recommend here. My friend got "clouds" and they look like blobs of white paint. Oh not to mention, they trashed talked me not knowing that I knew the language and knew everything they said. With the said, I still paid 40 for sns when the lady didn't even bother reshaping my nails or apologizing to me but instead who I can only assume as the boss lady did. Don't waste your money here. I went in for a full set acrylic and a deluxe pedicure.. on the book it says $25 for full set acrylic now I understand the upcharges for shape and length but I got the average size nail length NOT LONG AT ALL AND the lady told me it was going to be $40! I then said why is it $15 more my nails are not long at all and she made something up unsure of what she was saying but the part that made it shady was that when she told me $40 I was looking at the book that was on the seat and it was almost like she was trying to get me not to look at it she told the lady that was doing my toes (in their language) to grab the book because she noticed I was looking that the full price set says $25. I definitely got scammed out of $15 and I will not be going back because that's terrible and very sneaky business. I would have no problem paying the $5 upcharge for shape but $15 more it's no way! Never again. The pictures below don't do enough justice, they are short ane definitely not $15 worth of upcharges. I didn't even GET GEL like I wanted because of it. Terrible. Really sweet lady's but scamming people for their hard earned money is ridiculously sad.
