    Bomb Mac n cheese!

The lady at the front was very friendly! The food was good but the Mac n Cheese is AMAZING!!! If you go here do not skip the Mac n Cheese!!!! The best Mac n Chesse I've ever had in my life!

Fish Fritay Platter!!!! Happy Fritay Friday!!!!

Where should I begin? First and foremost I would like to say that it has been a long journey for me to find a good Haitian cake. That's what brought me here. That authentic Haitian cake taste and texture was like a trip to my grandmas house in Haiti. The rest is history. I've had the griot, fried chicken, the diri djondjon (mushroom rice), the fried plantains, the pikliz, the fried fish, the akra, and the marinad (can I get a Fritay Friday Fri-YAY!) and the diri kole. They are all delicious and affordable. I can't wait to go back.

I love Haitian food but if it gets too hot I just can't eat it and most of the places in this area over do the spices.

I'm just not sure how current it is. The place is a pleasant hole in the wall -- nothing pretentious. It feels like the kind of random roadside spot you'd find somewhere in the islands. From the moment we walked in, to the minute we left, I felt welcomed, comfortable, and at home. We sat at the small bar and enjoyed a few delicious Haitian Prestige beers and an appetizer, and talked with the owner who help us to decide on what to order. He was nice, helpful, and so genuinely friendly that I felt like family. Though not pictured on the menu, I'm pretty sure our appetizer was Haitian Akra (Malanga Fritters). Good and different from anything I've had before. For our entrées, we ordered the Conch and the Fried Pork with Red Beans, Black Rice, and Fried Plantains. Everything was delicious. I'm so glad we finally tried this place, and I can't wait to go back and eventually try everything on the menu.

Also served with a black bean sauce. Never once since I have been coming here have I had a bad meal. They give you a very decent amount of food. We're able to eat from both twice. The pork is very well seasoned and the meat in the callalo is so tender. They even have my favorite coconut soda Coco Rico. I will give this place 10 starts if I was able too. The owners is very nice as well. I recommend this place for anyone who will like to try Griot for the first time and more.
