I think I found my new spot. :) Just had the best pedicure ever! She was super gentle, paid close attention to details, gave me a great scrub/massage and my heels have never looked so smooth. I also decided to get some gel nail extensions and they are so gorgeous! They feel lighter and look more natural than acrylics. I can't stop looking at them! It was full house today but the staff seemed efficient. They must have an excellent air filtration system. I usually get headaches from the smell of nail polish and acetone but I could barely smell anything. The background music was on low and there was HGTV on the tv. Overall, it is a clean, super quiet space with excellent service. Some important things to know-they take credit cards for the base payment but they only accept cash for tips. Also, it's a busy salon so it's best to make an appointment, especially if you want more than one type of service. read more

My one star review of this place is based not on their services, because every time I walk in, I am told "we don't have time", despite the place being empty and two manicurists are just sitting at their stations not working on anyone. Today, it took them 5 min for them to address me and finally ask if I had an appt. When I said no, they said they didn't have time. This happened a few months ago also. I guess I'll never get to try this place and will always end up going somewhere else. If appointments are needed, and walk ins are not accommodated ever (so it seems), good luck staying in business in the long run. read more

I have been searching high and low for a local nail salon since I've moved to Rahway, and Rainbow is definitely it! I was in a rush to get a quick gel manicure on Christmas Eve after all of my baking and stumbled upon this place while driving down St Georges Ave. I walked in and was immediately impressed by how well decorated the salon was. The place is very clean and they even had the Food Network on both flat screens to entertain patrons - a definite plus! I sat down with one of their technicians, Diana, and was very pleased with the outcome. Diana was meticulous with the manicure and engaged in conversation. You could tell that she actually took pride in her work and wasn't trying to get you out so she could move on to the next client. I highly recommend her to anyone in the area. Looks like Rainbow is going to be my regular "go to" nail salon from now and on! read more

I went back here for a manicure with my mom and sister recently. I used to frequent this place when I lived nearby. This is as good as it gets. They are clean and keep all their tools properly sanitized, and the level of attention to detail is amazing. I'm a major perfectionist when it comes to my nails and these ladies do a great job! I used to be a regular customer at Rainbow French Nail but had to find a new place. Yes, the location is modern and clean. Their manicures are well done. BUT their employees are SO rude. They say they accept walk-ins but every time I have tried to walk in, I have been very rudely told to come back at another time. Each time this has happened, it has been midweek and early afternoon, so not during normal rush hours. The salon was empty! Sorry, my time is just as important and there are plenty of other salons in the area who are less expensive and actually want to take my money. read more

Perfect local salon! Pretty, modern, clean, and very nice people. I have never had a more comfortable experience, and they did a nice mani pedi with the comfy massage chair. They also have a HUGE selection of OPI and Essie. It's more expensive than your average Jersey place, but I only go once a month so it's worth it. read more

I came to this salon because of the reviews on here. Since I'm new to the area, I've been trying to find a nail salon that gives good pedicures and manicures to be able to go regularly and feel satisfied. This salon is NOT IT! They only have 3 ladies there and can never accommodate walk ins. After I learned this, I figured if they honor appointments and have regular clients, they must be worth trying. So I made my appointment and came in today. The young lady Doing my pedicure barely touched my feet. She seems to be either afraid or new to the job. I had to ask her to file my nails because after she cut them, she barely passed the buffer over them and rushed my feet back into the water. After me insisting she file them, she had attitude and continue to do half ass work. She barely cut the cuticles and scrubbed the bottoms of my feet as if I was a child, with no effort and in a rush. There was no one else in the salon and no one waiting so I know it couldn't have been that. Overall, this salon is not deserving of the far overpriced pedicure service they are promoting. I'm not sure what I'm paying extra for if the basic pedicure work wasn't even provided. Super disappointed and will not be returning. read more

I've visited this nail salon on 3 separate occasions and I will never go again. On the first visit both my daughter and I got pedicures and it was absolutely horrifying. The woman did our pedicures did not clean properly. I had to tell her numerous times that she was flipping too much around my toenails. She would not listen and my toe was bleeding. She said sorry but that wasn't good enough. The second time I went, my daughter wanted her nails cut. The woman cut her nails and filed them unevenly and charged $15. I tried one more time after that I went in and I told the woman the that sits in the first seat that I wanted pink and white solar. She told me she was busy and had an appointment. I said ok, I lol sit and wait and she said sorry I can't. There were only 2 customers in the salon. I asked if someone else could do it and she said no they have appointments. I said ok can I make an appointment for today or tomorrow and she said we're busy we can't. This was a few months ago and I said I would never go back. But today I decided to go back because I wanted a gel polish change (takes about 15-20 mins). I again went with my daughter and when I walked in the woman asked can I help you . I said I would like a polish change and she said I'm busy with my appointment and so is the ther woman. I said it's just a polish change so I can wait. She said no I can't it's going to take a while. The woman and her husband are getting pedicures. I said ok what time do you close. She said 7. I said ok. I can wait for you to finish the pedicures. She said I don't have time because the pedicures take a while. I said mam it's 5:38 and she said I'm busy. I was livid and left and went down the street. They took me with no problems. I told the nail technician what happened and she told me that the nail salon only is uppity and services a certain type of clientele and ethnicity. So because I'm a certain ethnicity and have tattoos, I didn't get serviced. Shame on them!!! read more
