    After 1 week, gel manicure paint is lifting and chipping away

    I went in a week ago as a walk in for a gel manicure and pedicure. It was a Wednesday afternoon and I was sat immediately. A gentlemen came to do my feel and the whole experience was rushed. I didn't realize how poorly he was doing because I was preoccupied having a conversation with a friend. He then does my hands and that's when I realize he was rushing and doing poorly. I had to stop him several times to tell him what shape I wanted or look at the job he was doing. By the time I got home I noticed there was gel stuck to the cuticles on my feet, the nails were barely filed down. My hands were not still had cuticle growth and were janky. The facility looked pretty and clean but a week later and my nails are already chipping and lifting. I will never go here again and wouldn't recommend.

    Haven't worn tips in almost 15 years. My dog died and I needed something to boost my spirits. Well today was my 1st filling after having Ben hooked me up with a new set of nails three weeks ago. He's very talented, professional and patient.

    I needed a pedicure in a clutch. This was near my job never been before arrived and the place was beautiful. I'm a tall person and the pedicure chair did not go back far enough to allow me to be comfortable while getting my pedicure. I spoke my concern they tried to move it back and it couldn't go no further. My hip and thigh area continued to cramp but I pushed thru. When I checked out I spoke my concerns again and nothing. just a repeat of price. No apologies but the man did say that's a manufacture problem. I was in awe and just let them know I'd never be back nor would I recommend. Fast forward to today. I go back to my regular nail tech to find that I have fungus on both big toes it was one thing to be treated bad with bad customer service but then to get foot fungus which in my 50 years of living never had I'm mad Big Mad! Beware of this place even though it looks beautiful looks are totally deceiving.

    The service was a refill for my acrylic nails. I had a great experience and I've been here 3 times now. The vibes are always great for me. I'm always impressed with my nails when I leave.

    Very disappointing and concerning experience. I came in for a simple French acrylic set, but unfortunately, the quality was extremely poor. The French lines were uneven, each nail had a visible line and the acrylic was applied sloppily and was flooding my cuticles. The nails were curving upward in an unnatural way, and when I politely asked the technician to fix them, she filed it a bit to appease me but ultimately dismissed my concerns. What really worried me was the hygiene. While filing the underside of my nails, she accidentally cut me on three fingers while i did not notice the first two right away i did however feel it on the third and it began to bleed a lot while she filed the nail and the rough edge cut my skin. Instead of discarding the nail file, she put it --with visible blood on its surface BACK INTO THE DRAWER!! I was shocked to say the least!! how many times has she done that before?! I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt this needed to be shared. I hope the salon addresses these issues and improves both their quality of service and their health standards.

    This place is immaculately clean. However, my pedicure was below average. It was extremely fast. My nail polish is chipped at the edges, my nails aren't smooth, neither are my heels. The top coat was put on so haphazardly that portions of my polish are more matted while other spots are shiny. They're streaky. They have bubbles in them. There was absolutely no care put into this pedicure at all. I would never return

    Probably one of the worst places in the area. Tech that did pedicure didn't even bother to clean under all the nails. Water was like warm. Massage less than 3 min total. Tech that did dip powder manicure appeared to have never done one before. She didn't know the steps of applying the products. Two nails are missing powder on the sides. Each nail was sharp as a knife on the corners. I had to re-file myself despite me telling her 3 times to soften the sides. Cuticles are a mess. Didn't ask me to wash my hands after she was done. And all the tools that both techs used were NOT sterilized. Both used things right from their drawers. It's a complete nail factory. HORRIBLE. Would never recommend to anyone. PS the only reason I went there is bc my regular girl at my regular salon had no openings today and I'm leaving for vacation. Today's techs were Rachel & Tammy.

Some were great for a short while but after some time started falling short of my standards. That has not been the case here. I have been booking services at Lavo for around 5 months now and my nails have never looked better. For starters, they have an all-star receptionist. She is so kind and helpful and on top of her job! They are a very busy salon and yet I never have trouble booking an appointment. They are as accommodating as can be. Even when they miss my phone call, I instantly receive a call or text back. I have been serviced by several nail technicians and they are all so very talented. I never bother booking with a specific tech because I know that no matter who I see, they will do an amazing job I was recommended doing soft gel manicures and it has been the best decision ever made. My career is very physical so i would often have a lot of wear and tear on my nails but not with soft gel. The gel polish never chips and my nails have never been stronger. I am usually able to go 4 weeks with my nails still looking great but ready for a fill. I love this salon and as long as I live within a drivable distance I will never change. They are cash or zelle/venmo only. So be prepared. And in my opinion they are charging fairly for services considering the quality of the work. Thanks Lavo!

I was subsequently banned from receiving services. My recommendation remains the same: managerial training would be beneficial. You can find training in YouTube. according to your own response , you leadership style comes across as dictatorial and dismissive of a customer review. Regardless of the number of employees managed, professionalism, communication, and emotional control are essential in any leadership role. The business was originally built by your father, who treated both customers and employees with professionalism and respect. When customers are banned for providing feedback, it reflects poorly on the culture of the business and ultimately impacts both customers and staff. In case you are not aware, there are many businesses that offer the same services. This is not about losing a customer, but about losing the opportunity to receive constructive feedback that helps a business improve. As a former loyal customer, I also recall overhearing workplace discussions during services that involved concerns from employees, including conversations related to their tip handling and management practices. These were not isolated comments, and they contributed to a broader impression of employee dissatisfaction. When internal concerns become visible to customers, it is worth reflecting on workplace culture and communication. If private conversations are not properly managed in a public-facing environment, customers will inevitably hear things that were not intended for them. I experienced this firsthand while receiving services. Reviews are intended to highlight experiences and opportunities for improvement. Responding to feedback by banning customers instead of addressing concerns does not minimize the fact of your poor managerial skills, in the contrary, is expose and supported by yourself. I am the perfect example on how your ego gets in the way. Instead of acknowledging the review, by a simple "thank you for the review, I'll be mindful next time." You are now sacrificing the earning of one of your employees because you ego got in the way . Thanks God for reviews, they show the true nature of people who minimize others just because they think they can and/or because they are the owner of the business. Tsk tsk.
