Le Bob Patissier has been our go to bakery for years now. They just began providing breakfast and lunch menu options and we decided to give it a try. Hands down the BEST tomato omelette I've ever had and it came with their in house baked bread selection. The Ajarski egg boat was very delicious as well. I manage real estate properties and one way I get our team together is monthly we have a staff potluck. Today was the day! My staff member brought us a delicious treat from this French bakery. I had never even heard of this place until now, but when I saw what he brought I was definitely excited to see what it was hitting for! If you read some of my reviews I love vibrant colors, and these delicious little tarts were vibrant. Fresh fruit tarts with Bavarian cream and buttery flaky crust were definitely a hit with the entire staff. These tarts are perfect for me because they're not too sweet, but just right. The flavor is not overpowering like some tarts. They were cute and lite, and you can taste every single fruity morsel. This is one of those cases where 1 star is too many. My poor mom thought she was doing something nice for my birthday but getting me a chocolate cake from here. Just by looking at it I could see how dry and terrible it would be. She also got some other pastries so we tried those first. The napolians were so dry and hard, almost no custard. Then she got these cookies that are stuck together with some kind of filling. Those were also terrible. I said why did you get so much stuff from this place if we've never tried it. She said it was recommended by someone. Now we know who never to trust about food recommendations. She kept saying it's a French bakery, there's nothing French about this place except the name. This was Saturday, Sunday we go to try the cake just to see and it was Sandy. Good thing she kept the reciept, I tried calling 30 minutes before closing time of 5 and no answer. Will definitely try again tomorrow to get her money back. Everything is uneaten just nibbled to try and we all spit it out. I wish I would've taken a picture before she left with it. I was in today to buy a cake for Easter and witnessed an argument between the owner and a customer. The customer was a calm man in his mid to late 50's. He calmly asked for a refund because the pastries he bought were old. The owner came out and began to RAGE. Was screaming at the poor man, reached over the counter and hit him at one point in the chest, and was throwing filled pastry boxes and bags of bread at the poor guy. The man's young daughter was there and was VISIBLY shaken and upset, she began to scream at the owner trying to defend her father. I tried to intervene and calm the owner down. It did not work. The female workers tried to keep working and did not help the customer, but pushed him out and made him leave. At one point the owner came to the front of the shop and the women working there had to hold him back. The daughter (about 14) called the cops in tears outside. I will never go in again. I was disgusted. I hope the owner is arrested. Totally shameful behavior from the whole crew. read more

Have you ever encountered a business which you simply think is a "front"? One which has signage and declares to sell certain goods, but you are convinced that something "shady" actually is dealt within close doors? No? Okay, maybe I am crazy but that is how I felt about Le Bon Patissier... until now. Le Bon Patissier is a small bakery located next to a 99 Cents Only store. I cant even begin to count the numerous times I have walked/parked in front of/looked at Le Bon Patissier. Quite honestly however, Le Bon Patissier didn't seem legit. The store front claims to sell kabobs and other hot foods (but this does not seem to be the case) and the bakery itself looks somewhat shabby from the parking lot. However, you can breathe a sigh of relief because Le Bon Patissier is not only a real bakery... but a delicious one! We were welcomed immediately into Le Bon Patissier which is predominately an Armenian/Middle Eastern establishment specializing in sweet treats such as various forms of Baklava and Baklava tarts. Le Bon Patissier also has some Parisian desserts (although no macarons! Booo!) and standards such as cheesecakes, tarts, Napoleons, Florentines, Opera Cakes, Tres Leches cakes, etc. The selection is broader than expected and enticing to the eyes with beautiful designs, cuts, and colors. Le Bon Patissier also creates custom cakes which parallel higher-end fondant-master bakeries. More interested in bread for your dinner table? Le Bon Patissier sells fresh rolls, loaves, and baguettes which I did not get to sample but looked beautiful and smelled even better. The best part of Le Bon Patissier are the prices. The sizes of the desserts in ratio to the prices are amazing: big pieces with small prices ($1, $1.50, $2.00 on average). Your waist may not thank you but your wallet certainly will! My boyfriend's sweet tooth was screaming at him and he couldn't leave until he had stuffed some sort of treat into his mouth. He chose (upon my insistence) a Cream Puff ($1.50). The puff was large (terrific value for the price), with a perfect proportion of flaky, fresh pastry dough to cream filling. The cream consisted of sort of a mousse-like texture with a lovely flow of vanilla and no-too-overly-sweet flavors. My boyfriend scarfed it down in Guinness World Record time. Service was very attentive, kind, and informative; as the employee answered all questions about the desserts quickly and with a smile. Le Bon Patissier may not look like a high-end bakery and may seem like the "front" to something much more sinister, but looks can deceive. Whether you are looking for a quick sweet while shopping next door at the 99 Cents Only store or you want to order a cake which looks like a giant burger (yup, they have that!); then head to Le Bon Patissier ... then head to the gym! read more
