Another Porto's hit!! This time, I brought a plate home. The Plato de Pollo is my favorite lunch/dinner order! Burbank is one of their older locations, so it doesn't have a dedicated coffee bar like Northridge. Plenty of outdoor sidewalk seating, and you can make it a date to walk along Magnolia Blvd.

Menu with price update. Food and service are great as usual. Ordered ham and cheese croissant, guava strudel, apple strudel, chocolate twist, mixed berry muffins, churro cookies, chocolate chip cookies, Plato de pollo platter, carnitas platter, ham and cheese croissant sandwiches, tamales, meat pies. Chicken empanadas and guava smoothies. We will hit Porto's again on our next trip.

Hands-down, I would always come back to this place to get some cheese rolls !!!! their bread is so fresh!!! the service is always amazing!! there's always a long line so be prepared to be in line for at least 15 to 20 minutes! You can always order aHead as well through the app! Super clean inside!

We ordered a few pastries: blueberry cream cheese danish, almond croissant, quesadilla, and chocolate twist. All very tasty! I wasn't sure what to get, they have all sorts of pastries, tarts, cakes, and some savory options too. Everything was priced fairly, I'd say. We also got a un Plato de Rios Vieja, it was really good, the meat had good flavor and the portion was perfect for 1-2 people. The drinks here are also good, my party ordered a strawberry matcha and a honey coffee. There's a lot of options, something for everyone. The service is also great. There is a long line, but it moves fast (15 mins) and you can usually find seating if you're dining in. The servers all have a good attitude and are more than happy to give recommendations if you want some. I'd come back! The atmosphere is pretty casual. It's a good spot for lunch or a coffee break. Music isn't too loud, either.

What's a SoCal trip without stopping by Porto's before heading home Every time we drive down, we always bring goods back to our friends and families. Always order online to avoid long waits. You can pick from many different time slots also. My favs: CHEESE ROLLS! That's is that's all

Our visit to LA is never complete without stopping by at Porto's. The quality of their pastries remain consistently delectable throughout the years. Their customer service is amazing despite the volume of customers they serve. We always get the cheese roll and the cheese and guava roll. But this time, we tried their new pastries such as the yuzu eclair and jt was to die for. Tell me why we just tried their dulce de leche latte?! Me and my husband was fighting over it on our drive home, wish we bought two! If you haven't been to Porto's, brave the line! I promise it's worth it.

Porto's is a legend! I think everyone in LA should pay homage here... and judging from how popular they are at all hours, everyone is!!! Other than their famous pastries (and there are soooo many of them), their sandwiches are excellent too! My favorite is their croissants - they are the best I've tasted... not only good but also cheaper than most places in town! Great service -- I estimated there are likely 50 people working at this place, front and back. Everyone I met was courteous and cheerful. You are unlikely to get this level of service at any other cheap eats in town. The ambiance is busy and lively. You have to self-serve but they are efficient and fast. Unbelievable prices in today's market! Whenever I come, I get bags / boxes of take-outs Lastly, one thing I love about them is, while everyone is asking for 18% to 25% tips, their cashier machines do not ask for any! Can you find another place in town that does this?

One of my favorite bakeries, it's always busy for a reason! Staff is very welcoming and patient. This specific location offers indoor and outdoor seating, with indoor seating sometimes requiring you to go on a wait list. I suggest trying their seasonal desserts, they never miss! Porto's has one of the best Caesar salads I've ever tried, 10/10 always so fresh and the chicken never tastes dry. My first time trying their smoothies as well and the passion fruit colada is a must have

A little bit of reading and some Cuban pastries!

An update review after 8 years from my last review: Porto's in Burbank is still 5 stars in my book! Came here today to kill some time and at 5pm on a weekday, I breezed through the line and sat down in less than 12 minutes. I always get friendly, fast service here, not feeling rushed nor hurried. Porto's have had great customer service for the past 15 years that I have been going there. It makes it difficult to try new spots on Magnolia Blvd since I am a repeat customer. The coffee and the juice/smoothie bar is just as high quality as their baked goods and food. It has gotten progressively better year after year and I have seen their menu expand. You have to have great coffee with the amazing desserts they serve! My current favorites are the mango mousse, the chocolate chip twist, the cheese and jalapeno potato balls, and of course, the guava cheese pastry. I also love their chopped chicken and Caesar salads! Ample seats both inside and outside. If I ever get parking and see open seats, then I take it as a sign from the cosmos that I am meant to get Porto's.

Porto's in Burbank honestly feels like it's been around forever--I think it might even be the first Porto's in the Valley, but Glendale was the first one I think. This review is long overdue because I used to come here all the time when I was younger. It's always been busy, with the line literally wrapped around outside, but that's just part of the experience at this point. You really can't go wrong with Porto's though, it's like a one-stop shop for pastries, Cuban food, cakes, and drinks. I've had pretty much everything over the years and I still keep going back. It's perfect for parties, events, or honestly just whenever you're craving it. The quality and consistency are what keep people coming back, even with the crowds.

A first at this location, I completed a mobile order for some pastry's and the Dulce iced latte. This location did have a small parking , but the spaces were tight . I can only imagine during rush hour or weekends . I visited this location at 7 am and was slightly busy. Upon arrival, it was a bit confusing on where to go for mobile orders . I made a left where I thought was mobile , and it is actually a right. I wish there was more signage or directions for mobile order in the app as well. To pick up my order was very quick, the lady mentioned they were making my coffee. I waited an extra 5-10 minutes , I followed up by asking if she can check on my drink. My drink was ready in a different location where she grabbed . Porto's food is always 10/10 , the functionality of mobile pickup is an area that requires improvement .

Had to stop by one of our favorite bakeries in SoCal. It was on the way home. It was my son's 9th birthday and we got some Porto's famous cheese rolls for his birthday party. I got a Cuban sandwich togo and plantains with garlic sauce. I haven't had it in a while and I missed it. It was amazing. We tried a dozen seafood potato balls. I think I ate 6 by myself. They were good! I tried the strawberry cheese croissant. I liked it but my wife didn't like it. I got myself a 1 guava cheese strudel and I loved it. My fav is dulce de leche coffee and fresh orange juice. I wasn't hungry so I didn't eat until we got home. Service always amazing and friendly. The line is usually long but it's organized and clean inside. I've never had a bad experience at Porto's. Thank you Porto's!

Got extras for my friend back home! They were happy to see us holding this box!

The line for this place was insane on a Sunday at 1:30pm. Line was down the street. Lots of people eating inside. There have a full menu I didn't consider. I only wanted to box boxes of pastries to bring back home! Lots of Cuban sandwiches and other lunch options! Thank goodness my husband suggested looking into ordering online! We ordered about 2 hours before we were going to arrive and it was ready! Everything is good! My favorite maybe the guava & cheese strudel.

No sure, I have picked up at 8am. You can schedule the time through the website or at location directly.

No, I hope they bring back triple chocolate cake as well.

What is the best way to warm up potato balls, meat pies and croquettes?

Most likely to put it in the oven or toaster.

I did order the mushroom, peach, and mango. The mushroom was creamy and definitely had hazelnut spread or mousse in there. The peach one was delightful and tasted like summer. The mango was subtle, but tasted better if you held it in your hand and bit into vs using a fork - don't ask me why. I also ordered two Ajarskis (boat-shaped pizza with cheese-filled crusts, topped with runny eggs). I was a little surprised by the price, but they are pretty large and hearty so I only ate 1/4-1/2 and was able to spread each one out over 3 meals. Got here early Sunday afternoon because the line was not absurdly long -- about 6 ish parties in front of us and waited around 15-20 minutes. The interior was really small and there's really only room for to place your order -- if you ordered a drink or sandwich you'd have to step outside to wait. There are a couple of small round tables covered with umbrellas for small parties if you want to do a small meet up or wait for your goods. We had wanted some croissants and apple tarts but unfortunately they had run out of the Apple tarts by the time we ordered (another excuse to return next time). We were convinced by the nice lady at the register to pick up not one but two almond croissants because they were fresh out of the oven and I'm SO GLAD we did. It was still hot/warm when we took our first bite after walking back to our car -- flaky amazing lamination with a steaming frangipane filling, for sure the best almost croissant I've had. The regular croissant was also good but not fresh/warm like the almond croissant so it left less of an impression but I can imagine it also tasting amazing if we got it fresh. I ended up trying the Chocolate Almond Croissant for $6.50, and let me tell you something -- I am a HUGE croissant girlie. While I'm not normally the biggest chocolate person, Spain and Portugal recently changed my perspective on dark chocolate, and apparently now I'm in my dark chocolate era. And honestly? This croissant was BETTER than the super popular pastry we had in Barcelona, Spain. The chocolate wasn't overpowering at all -- it had the perfect amount of dark sweetness without being too rich. But the real surprise was the almond filling layered at the bottom. Oh my gosh... chef's kiss. Nutty, creamy, not overly sweet, and perfectly balanced. Chocolate Almond Croissant -- 9.2/10 I can only imagine how life-changing this would taste fresh out of the oven piping hot. Service was fast despite the line moving constantly, but just know there's no indoor seating. It's very much an order, pick up, and go type of spot. Ambiance was welcoming and super friendly gals. Definitely a must-try, and I'll absolutely remember to stop by again anytime I'm in Burbank. Happy eats!!

There aren't any seats inside of the ice cream parlor, but there are benches right out front that you can sit on to eat your treats. Sliders makes for a fun little adventure to get some ice cream any day of the week!

I have been here twice in the past, but not in a long time. Needed to buy a box of yummy cupcakes for my friend's birthday and wanted few for me and my son. Rubina, the owner being so sweet, kind, nice, and helpful helped me to choose variety of cupcakes for my friend, and also helped me to decide what my cravings were.? I went with like 6 cupcakes of different kind, and they looked AMAZING!! Got Chocolate cupcake, berry cupcake with light frosting on top, & Red Velvet Cupcake for me and my son to share. Their cupcakes are seriously addicting, in the most dangerous way!:-) They are light, fresh, yummy, and full of flavor w/out being too sweet. Simply irresistible. They have a clean shop, cute, quaint, and welcoming. They only make cupcakes. No other types of goodies. Just letting you guys know. They do deliveries and small catering for your occasions. Moderate prices. Plenty of parking shared with numerous businesses and one last thing; go see the owner and she will help you to pick out your favorites!

And the icing is textured, like a true blend of blueberries in a gently sweetened cream. No heavy sugars, no artificial flavors. So if you're looking for that Susie Cakes sugar rush, you won't find it here. This is for those that have an affinity for the subtle nuances in flavor profiles. The chocolate varieties taste similar to what my wife makes - you can taste the intensity of the natural chocolate flavor thanks to espresso. It's the secret to a deep, beautiful chocolate batter. The owners are lovely as well. The lady took the time to go over the flavors and explain the lack of heavy sugars. Such a cute spot tucked away in a strip mall behind Starbucks. I'll be back for a 6 pack of blueberry cupcakes soon!
