Simple enough, right? Wrong. I quickly learned that buying wieners from a real butcher is apparently a more sophisticated process than I had anticipated. Instead of getting the usual "they're over there" treatment, the guy behind the counter patiently walked me through the different house-made options, explained what made each one unique, and helped me settle on the Old Fashioned Wieners. Friends, these were not gas-station roller dogs pretending to be food. These were the kind of wieners that make you stop mid-bite and wonder why you've spent years lowering your standards. Perfect snap, great flavor, and somehow they managed to survive being cooked by a guy whose grilling expertise is mostly confidence-based. While I was there, I also picked up a wagyu ribeye. I braced for impact when it came time to pay, but the price was surprisingly reasonable, and the steak was every bit as good as you'd hope. Del Monte has outstanding products, genuinely helpful customer service, and prices that don't require a second mortgage. Nel's has best meat and awesome Italian sausage and Bratwursts and also they run great deals on chicken products from time to time. Another good reasons to give them a try are the ambiance, the spirit and the attitude. As Theodore Roosevelt once said, "Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care". One employee, I believe her name is Caroline, goes above and beyond in providing awesome customer service. You can be sure your shopping needs will be met and questions will get answered. She is the one eager to walk the extra mile and will even help you load your vehicle. She certainly deserves a raise. As far as prices go I'd say they are not too much above everyone else to drive across town and to settle for mediocre customer service. I mean I knew few people who would spend extra 30 minutes to save extra $0.30, but, assuming time also has value it is not worth the hassle. Plus corporate entities have means to support themselves no matter what and by shopping at Nel' s you contribute to the success of an awesome locally owned store.

I didn't bother to state otherwise because a good service relies upon the customer. I would consider going back with a group and ordering land protein vs sea.

Then we did research--Oh boy lol, it's near a golf course at least, and it is a sports bar & grill, so off to Pokey we went. After a fun little stop for coffee in Blackfoot along the way, we headed off to West Chubbuck Rd. via 91 South. Off the hwy, and into town, anticipating arriving at the restaurant after every stretch of property that could have held a golf course--But no, I was jumping the gun. We kept traveling down the old road of evolving names, past all the commerce area, past the homes, and past the point of me feeling confident in my navigation app--started to think we were lost. Traveling down Old Bannock highway, until finally on Pocatello's south tip some roadside establishments appeared. With a big Budweiser truck along the shoulder, and that very welcome digital sound voice "You're destination is on the left" I scanned for the name and logo--Eureka! Nice large parking lot with wheelchair access, and a bike rack out front--a space for everyone. The inside environment is high-heritage, beer-centric sports tavern with an affluent local soul. It's a warmly lit sports lounge with a textured quartz stone trim (Tried a video of this for you). Along with dedicated photos of today's memories and past, there is an entertaining collage of abstract Ads, untypical beer mirrors, and signs that crowd the walls triumphantly displaying unique logos. There are two mountain bikes secured above the doorway--fitting of a true sports bar. The tables and booths are In close proximity to each other, but space enough to be private. Perfect for a gathering, or a scattering. Many of the patrons we saw, know the bartender/server (Who is a young man) by name, and are themselves a little elderly. This place is a real old-time buddies sports clubhouse, with a vibe that welcomes everyone. Good thing too; It would be a shame for anyone to miss out Isac's, (ēzak) friendly and superior skills. He's a great server, handled our orders like a pro. It's easy to see that he's been doing this for a while.
