He basically was watching him the entire time or in the store, which was no more than 5 minutes because of how uncomfortable he made us feel. I wanted to share my recent experience at the Le Creuset store in Carlsbad. Upon entering the store, I noticed a Patriotic Star on their window. It's important to note that not every store at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets displays this star--only those that offer a Military discount have it by the front door entrance. As I was browsing, a (what seemed friendly at first) store associate approached me and asked if I needed assistance. I politely mentioned that I was mainly looking around, but had my eye on a particular item and needed some time to decide. Being a military family, we move frequently, and I was hesitant to splurge on the item, knowing that things can sometimes get broken during moves. Eventually, I decided that I could always pack the item myself with other cherished belongings when we PCS. At the register, I kindly asked for their Military discount and presented my Military ID. The associate seemed a bit confused and mentioned that the entire store was already on sale with great discounts. To me, a 20- 30% discount is not equivalent to Black Friday prices and doesn't qualify as "-superb" savings, as sales rotate throughout the year and rarely reach a remarkable 50% off. Nonetheless, the associate said she needed to check with her manager about the Military discount. She went to the back and an older gentleman came out (Stated he was the Manager of the Store), appearing hesitant as well. His response began with, "Well, uh, our prices are discounted as is and, uh, we don't usually provide a Military discount." I hate sounding entitled, but their answer seemed rehearsed and didn't sit right with me. So I pointed out the Patriotic Star on the window, indicating that their store was one of the few participating in offering a Military discount. I also mentioned that I had never been denied a Military discount on top of sale prices at other retail stores in the Carlsbad Premium Outlets (such as Adidas, Coach, Kipling, Under Armour, Guess, The North Face, and Vans, to name a few). The older gentleman seemed displeased with my comment and then changed his answer to, "Well, we only give a Military discount on items that are not marked down in the store." I asked him to point out the area with items eligible for a Military discount. He gestured to the wall on the left as you walk into the store, but by that point, I did not want to engage in further conversation with him. I mentioned that this was the first time I had heard of this policy and that I would inquire further at a later time before walking out. I understand that not many military families may shop at Le Creuset, but there must be a few. I'm not sure if I was being discriminated against for some reason (since I was the only customer in the store at the time, I can only think of treating me this way because I was very casually dressed, no makeup---imagine playing golf without proper golf attire... that's how it kind of felt like when I was speaking to these two employees) or maybe the store is operating at a low or negative profit margin and the manager takes advantage of saying this rhetoric when no other customers are around. It's puzzling why the store employees are not honoring the Patriotic Star on their window and wonder how many other people were treated in this manner. read more

After years and years of having mediocre cookware, and being able to slay it in the kitchen, the wife and I decided to splurge on our first Le Creuset set. Im gonna start with John and the other female that was working last night on 12-11-25. She was super friendly and super helpful. Maybe 15 minutes later John comes up to us and boy does that charm kick in. He was very-very knowledgeable and explained to us that since this was our first set of Le creuset that there was only 2 must haves at first. Didn't push any nonsense on us or try to sell us a bunch of stuff. We definitely bought the two items he suggested ( was on our list anyway ) and 5 more items. This store was beautifully merchandised and the prices were awesome. All these other complaints on yelp about not getting a military discount, cmon man, there prices are way cheaper then online or at other stores. Le Creuset (luh-crew-zet, according to the cashier) has great, high quality items, but the issue is always the price. This outlet store has a good variety of items, nearly all at a significant discount. I got a regularly $56 seasonal mini cocotte for $23. There are a bunch of colors available for most items as well. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the store is organized and clean. It's also a great place to just window shop if you enjoy cooking. I'll definitely come back to check out new (or rather, retiring) items when I'm nearby. read more

After visiting this store, why does anyone pay regular price? They have sooo many options here! The store is filled with their nonstick pots and pans, Dutch ovens, casserole pans, baking sheets, plates, bowls and mugs. They also have cooking tools and you can purchase replacement handles- great if you want to switch out your stock silver to gold or vice versa. They had a lot of color options when I went and it ran the spectrum! You can find what you need to match your current collection and if you don't, just go back because they always have new merchandise. With multiple employees in the store and only me and one other customer, I was surprised that no one helped me or spoke to me. It took a bit to get some help but I was ultimately able to gain their attention. read more

Le Creuset pans are really expensive, but they literally last a lifetime if not longer (if you maintain them well). Since I replace my non-Le Creuset non-stick pans every year or so, it's really a pretty good deal. For beginners, you might want a big pot which you can use to boil or piut in the oven and make bread (make sure you have an oven-safe handle) or roast chicken. I personally love the cast iron pan as it's deep and perfect for so many things, holding heat well and dishing out crazy good breakfasts or dinner delights. This location has plenty of choices and beautiful colors, even though I'm basic and love the classic French deep red. read more

My friend and I walked in on a Saturday morning when the store was empty and quiet except for an older couple. There were two employees who were standing and not doing anything. They never said hello or welcome in, nor did they acknowledge our presence and opted to intentionally ignore us. My friend and I are young (25) and were dressed casually, the other customers were older and dressed nicely in designer clothing. The employees were friendly, warm and welcoming to everyone else who walked into the store after us but still didn't acknowledge our presence ever after being in the store for 15 min. It wasn't until everyone else had left and we were the only ones in there did they say hello and asked if we needed any help finding anything, and even then it was obvious it wasn't genuine. I had fully walked in there with the intention of buying a gift for a family member but after being judged based on my appearance I will never shop there again nor recommend it to friends and family. Extremely disappointing customer service and it seems like this store only wants a certain type of customer to walk through their door regardless if they are willing to make a purchase. read more

This review is mostly about how awful the sales woman was. The product itself is great and inventory is decent. Store wasn't as neat as it usually. I ran in to see if they had something I was looking for for my collection. There were a lot of things on sale so I began looking. The single employee asked if I needed help in a bit of an aggressive way. I let it go thinking no big deal. I had the crazy mom bun going and a sweatshirt but that shouldn't matter. I was there, maybe 8 minutes in total and this woman kept approaching me and making rude and unnecessary comments, some coming from the register while I was towards the front of the store essentially yelling. I don't know if she thought I couldn't afford the store based on my appearance or was just incredibly rude. But I did not need her either breathing down my neck or yelling accesos the store to me. I was appalled by how she was towards me. Like i said, maybe 8 minutes in store and she approached me 6 times to either ask me rudely if I was in need of help or to tell me not to open the box which were already open on the table etc. Do better. read more

At the very least, you get standard courtesy service. They have lots of great items and some pretty good sales. I've been coming here for many many years, I have a huge collection of the stuff and know my way around a kitchen. Of all the people that came and went in the store while I was there I would bet money I have and use more of this brand than any other patron. Why does that matter? Because the last time I went in, I was running errands in just in flip flops and board shorts and a t-shirt and was treated pretty poorly by the older workers in there. The manager was great and she was knowledgeable but the older gentleman in particular was pretty darn rude to me the whole time I was in there but sweet and helpful to older patrons coming in while I was shopping. Made me very uncomfortable and unwelcome. Id give it a lower star rating based on the last experience but I believe in the brand and have had plenty of other great experiences there. Just left a bad taste in my mouth yesterday and makes me question how willing I am to go back to this location. I'm thankful this Le Creuset outlet store is still open during this time. We visited 7/18/2020, and the store is limiting capacity to 6 customers at once, with all staff and all customers required to wear masks and socially distance. Steve was helpful and informative and we found everything we needed. I was shopping for a new apartment and was happy I could get quality items at discounted prices. Finally made it here!!! If you're a cook or love kitchen ware they you you know Le Creuset! They sell long lasting probably a lifetime cookware! I got my first Dutch oven during quarantine and used it to make fresh bread. It was the best investment and plan to pass it down to my children. There is nothing like it but many come close. These pieces withstand very high temps! I came here just looking for a new knob for my DO and found one! Great price at only $19. I snagged one up for my neighbor too! i went to the store today to exchange a cast iron skillet that i originally bought from the San Clemente outlet store for a bigger size. The salesperson who greeted me was John. He opened the box to inspect the pan , and concluded because the sticker was off on the bottom that it was used and cannot be returned/ exchanged. i was absolutely appalled and shocked because i NEVER used the pan and was simply looking to upgrade to a bigger size. John essentially accused me of using the pan when it was not used nor did it looked used. I called the San Clemente store and they assured me they don't sell used pans and that the pan was probably sold when on display there and hence the sticker was removed. they are asking me to stop by their store so i can exchange the pan. i will simply never go this store after being accused of trying to return an item that was used; the way i was treated was absolutely appalling. it's definitely not worth it to me to go these outlet stores and instead directly with reputable vendors ( ie,Bloomingdale's ) given my review of previous customers with similar complaints, John and his manager need to be fired. read more

I love the Le Creuset Outlet. The products are wonderful and make cooking so much more enjoyable. Over the last 10 years I've been coming to this store I have never had a bad experience. The employees are all very helpful. if you can't decide on the right size of vessel they will walk you through the sizes and the servings each size can hold so you can be better informed when making your selection. If you want an item and do not see it they are more than happy to check their stock in the back just to make sure they don't have it. There is almost always some type of sale so be sure to check out the sale colors. This is one of my favorite stores! read more

I love this store. We were greeted by John and he helped us every step of the way. He was really knowledgeable and helped us look at multiple options for what we were looking for. He was never pushy and really wanted us to get exactly what we needed. I would return to this store just because of how wonderful John made the experience. I feel like the staff here only welcomes people who are over 40, look like an expert at cooking and know their products well. I have been to this store several times and have rarely been greeted, so I had to just walk around and check everything by myself . Still love their Dutch Oven though, they are beautiful and in great quality. John explained all the differences, helped me inspect each piece before buying, and was patience while I was so indecisive. I literally spent hours in the store deciding which pieces to purchase. Inventory: There's two types of inventory at this location. Look for the Le Creuset logo sticker on each piece. White sticker means the item is new, direct from the factory. Other stickers imply its factory defect, 2nd hand, etc. Thrifty tip to those who don't want to spend the big bucks: the clearance section items are outlet price + additional 40% off. It's a steal. It's a secondary product(or whatever you call it). After I went back to the store and wonder why is cracking, he finally tell "it's not dangerous". Called the warranty service and got the same response, any cracking is not under warranty. I would rather pay original price for a product I can use for years. Not something could crack or chip in times. I didn't realize the branding offers such an awful marketing strategy, not telling the defect? especially for this particular store. This place was awesome!!! First off, when you walk in the aroma makes you want to eat...and then eat some more. The guy said they just steep herbs to make the place smell like there's yummy stuff cooking in the kitchen. Very well played Le Creuset!! I felt like I had ADD in this place because of all the vibrant colors. I spent quite a while in the store browsing at just about everything. Food just tastes different when its cooked in cast iron, and Le Creuset has the best cast iron dishes. Cast iron is hard to care for and has to be seasoned and Le Creuset has managed to combine the heavyness of cast iron along with a great enamel to keep the clean up really easy. You can find Le Creuset at regular prices at Williams Sonoma, but the outlet carries the same pieces for around 40% off. read more
