Dr. Le was very confident (hindsight was overconfident) and he explained how he was going to be able to fix this by replacing crowns on my left side and making them hire so my front teeth would no longer make contact and start repairing the Las Vegas work on the upper right. My entire bite was now relying on the left side and impacting the roots under the fresh crowns Dr. Le put in. Le had to now go back and do root canal under his crown work. He charged me for those also. When he tried to put "his" bridge over the (L.V.) implants he found that it was coming out crooked (also). He said he thinks it might be the implants that are in wrong and making the bridge crooked. In the process of pulling his bridge off and on again and again, one of the implants came loose. I have found out that he was supposed to do a torque test on these implants before starting any of this. He got frustrated an said that I need to go back to Las Vegas and file a claim with the Dental board (I didn't know there was a dental board) and they would get the D.A after that dentist and he would also file a letter with the Dental Board on his findings. This took several months to hear from the Nevada Dental Board and they never received a letter from Dr. Le (several attempts) and they (N.D.B.) said they don't get involved with courts or the D.A..
The Nevada Dental Board examiner said the remaining implant that was still intact, was improperly placed and would cause the moled for a bridge to be crooked. The Board contacted that dentist and got my money back for the one implant. The other two implants were my loss because Dr. Le tampered with them before they could see the condition of them. Dr. Le was supposed to do a torque test and see a visual observation before adding any work to them. The Board also said that Dr. Le's (dental build-up) on the left side was done improperly and should be redone. Dr. Le used the other dentist poor work as his scapegoat. This cost over $7,000 and $4,000 was cash from me. He offered only $400(?) back to me and the Ins never received any money back. Dr. Le lied several times in the small claims court room and I'm not a good courtroom litigator. The California Dental Board is different than other states and they wouldn't look into it unless they had other complaints. It may or may not have something to do with the fact that Dr. Le has assisted with case review for the dental board as he has arrogantly mentioned.
I have now been to more dentist then I can count trying to find out how to fix this. It came down to nobody wanting to touch it and being referred to a Prosthodontics because my teeth are now unstable. A Prosthodontic only coordinates with specialist like Endodontist and Periodontist for surgery (implants). Dr. Le is a arrogant general dentist that is trying to get by without going to school to specialise in these areas (and it is legal).
The private practice Prosthodontics before the cost of specialist for me will start at $40,000.00. I've have chose the UCSF school of dentistry. The work will be done by Resident specialists; Prosthodontic, Endodontics, and Periodontics. They are all in the same building on different floors and working together with one Professor. Because they are Residents who have graduated from the school of dentistry and are now trying to specialise in a particular area of dentistry, it will cost me so far about $30,000.00 over a period of 18 months. The school of General dentistry is little to no cost, but this was over there head.
I have found through investigating that a lot of dentist make a lot of small mistakes, but repair without you knowing or fix it so it last long enough that you wouldn't know they were responsible. All of my teeth are now broken or chipped and crowns I have come loose during this period and I have had my teeth for over 40 years.
If you believe the work that he has done is wrong then you need to report it to the California Dental Board. Lawyers are to expensive and you won't have money left to fix the damages. read more
