Almost a year later and I wanted to show off how my brows have healed. Please take into account that I am a very active person, and that my face does go through a lot on a daily basis (with putting make up on, taking it off, etc.). My eyebrows have faded quite a bit; but honestly it only shows where my eyebrows don't "blend" with the microblading. I am not upset about this by any means. Renee did tell me they would fade and that I would need to care for my brows (but to be honest, no one really notices when I say my eyebrows have faded). I do not regret going through this process because Renee has given me back so much time and more self confidence. My eyebrows have not grown back from overtweezing, and now I can go to gym or the beach, etc. without having to worry if my eyebrows are smudging off! This was a huge disappointment. After visiting Renee for not only my initial treatment but several timely scheduled follow-ups, I was completely put off by Renee's quality, as well as her customer service. I emailed Renee after my last treatment failed to "take" and was shocked that she literally denied any fault and refused a follow-up. I was saddened and disappointed to say the least: She seemed so genuine and sweet until the second I had an issue. It was as if the 4 or 5 times I had been to her were a complete farce; a show. I tried, in several emails, to convey that I merely wanted her to look at the outcome (or lack of) of my treatment. It wasn't as if I wanted money back. Her response was "well, you signed an agreement...." I am "shell shocked" and surprised that a small business owner with such a personal, intimate relationship with her clients, would ever respond the way she did. Run fast - and don't get sucked in to the phony, fake "niceness" that is (until the moment you have an issue). She was very friendly at first session( before I paid). Then she turned out a different person at the second session. She canceled my second session since I am a little late (less than 30mins )due to the traffic. I made a phone call on the way but nobody pick up. The thing is when i got there, front desk told me she is not there. I waited 20mins, then she came and insisted charge me for the second session (which already included in the money I paid first time) They didn't write in the policy in the email. I had to reduce the stars to my previous review. I stand by my initial review in that Renee is very sweet, has a great eye for brow shape, and did a wonderful job **at the time**. She is most definitely an artist. But her communication still sucks. My brows have faded as I've expected since it's been a year since I've done them. They've faded a very noticeable red, which she never mentioned. I have to pencil over them to cover up the redness. I followed the aftercare to a T (although I did email multiple times regarding after care and never received a response). I wanted to give her another shot especially since only she knows the inks she used. Maybe it's my skin? Maybe it's the ink? Who knows? I do not like the shape and size of my brows and most importantly they are asymmetrical. My right brow is short with a lower arch while the left is longer in width with a higher arch. Renee deserves a billion stars! She is one of the sweetest, nicest, and coolest girls I have ever met (she is also super gorgeous!) Before I decided to go to Renee, I did some major research and followed her on instagram to check out her work before committing. I mean, this procedure is no joke since it's on your face, so you definitely want to do your research and find the best artist for you. Renee is truly an amazing and very talented artist. I have never done anything major to my eyebrows and I didn't really know what the best shape was for me. Renee was honest, telling me that the way that I was drawing my eyebrows was too harsh for my face and she wanted to bring out my eyes and give me a softer and delicate look. She explained the entire procedure to me and answered any questions I had. She is super patient and wants to make sure you really understand what it's going on. Then she reshaped my eyebrows and drew it out with a pencil. She asked if I was happy with the shape, and I was truly amazed how different I already looked. I trusted her in the shape and the color of my eyebrows and gave her the go. She was very thorough while drawing them, using measuring tape to make sure they were even. She then put some numbing cream on, measured it some more, and taped it. Once my eyebrows were numbed, she got me comfortable on the chair and started the procedure. She was constantly asking if I was doing ok, and honestly, it was not painful at all. She told me her previous clients said the worst part is the actual noise (it's a scratchy noise), so she would turn the music a little bit higher to make it more comfortable. I was about to fall asleep! After about an hour, she was completely done and I was so excited to see my new eyebrows! I could not stop staring at them and I was so happy. I got major compliments from the boyfriend and the boyfriend's mom :) The entire procedure took about 2 hrs from the moment I met her to finish. I highly recommend Renee, she is so talented and professional. Her prices are reasonable given that it's a semi-permanent tattoo on your face. She is also very honest about what works for you and wants to make sure that you listen to her after care. She said that this is a collaboration between her and her clients. I had my brows microbladed last week and I LOVE them. Renee is an expert and a true artist. I was nervous committing to something semi-permanent and all I can say is I should have gone sooner. My appointment was at 5:30pm and the first 20-30 mins was just the consult. She evaluates the face and bones in order to ensure the correct shape and placement. I'm in love with how she accentuated my brow bones with the brow shape and gave me an instant eye lift. I appreciated the negotiation period where she drew in the ideal brow and then negotiated length according to my comfort level and how bold I was willing to go. She also tested the colors next to my hair to ensure I was satisfied with the shades. She measured twice then cut once. Renee makes you feel so comfortable. I did not feel a thing during the appointment. A little stinging afterwards, but very minor. I'm very particular about my face. For my profession I work on faces and mouths all day and I am detail oriented to a fault sometimes and I would go as far as sometimes hard to please. LOVE LOVE LOVE my brows! Of course since it's a procedure on my face, I was a little concerned. If there was ANY mistake, my face is front and center and there would be no way to hide it. For years I've waxed, tweezed and threaded my brows. As a result, my brows were sparse and very thin and I had to begin using wax and powder to fill them in. The beginning of my brows were also over manipulated that their starting point was far from where they should be starting (top photo). NEVER AGAIN!!! Renee is very knowledgeable, patient and informative. She checked with my constantly throughout the process to make sure I was comfortable. It wasn't totally without some mild discomfort, but what little I did feel was tolerable. And she even re-created the starting point where my brows should naturally begin (bottom photo). As someone else posted, you will have to keep the brows moisturized with the balm Renee provides for the two week healing period.This photo is 10 days after my appointment. I will update after my follow up appointment. P.S. This business has a $$ monetary rating, meaning that its moderately expensive...not true! Firstly, Renee is talented. Very talented. I will always be grateful to her for endowing me with such beautiful, natural-looking eyebrows. She's saved me a bunch of time in the mornings going forward where putting on makeup was such an overbearing chore and it feels so liberating when I can just fill in my brows with a pencil and then be on my way. However, it's the service in which I'm not very happy about. She has a very strict, militant policy on her website where she won't tolerate even a minute past the scheduled appointment time. That's fine, keeping your word is extremely important to me too. It's just that both times when I've showed up early to respect her wishes, it doesn't seem like she practices what she preaches. I was kept waiting 30 minutes and 15 minutes, respectively. We initially got along very well during the first appointment, where she complimented me on how I have sensitive, but all in all great skin, and I walked out very happy with my brows. But then the second time she started making all of these unsolicited comments which I realized later on, were pretty offensive. She said that I have rosacea, point blank. Um, excuse me? I've been going to a dermatologist all my life and not once was I ever diagnosed with rosacea. Do I have extremely sensitive skin that easily flushes anytime I'm exposed to cold winters or blistering heat or even cheap makeup? Yes. I know what I have, but it's definitely not rosacea. I thought it was pretty rude of her to make such a diagnosis where I was very caught off-guard. She also said that I have sensitive skin that is also paper-thin and oily (correct), so it's going to soak up the microblading pigment immediately and that I should come in and get the powder treatment instead. The powder microblading is $1400. I was deeply offended at how she just bluntly told me WHILE she was doing my brows that I'm not a good enough candidate and that I should opt for an extremely expensive procedure instead. She didn't tell me this during my initial consultation when I told her I was concerned about my oily skin being a deterrence for getting microbladed. And now that my money has been paid the tune changes. It's hard not to feel like you've been scammed. Needless to say, I won't ever be coming back. read more

Renee is the best in the brow game. I've been to two other microblading places, one is an extremely popular LA salon and the other is a well known salon in the Bay area, and they cannot compare to Renee's expertise. First of all, she shapes your brows to really open up your eyes and frames them to fit your face shape. The other place drew my brows at an odd angle which turned me into a RBF (resting *b* face lol). My husband would jokingly say, "Why are you so angry!?" to me all the time. Not cool. Maybe because I just flushed hundreds of dollars down the drain to look pissed off. The other place I went to used some branches, or some archaic tool, to tattoo my brows cuz it hurtttt. I can take pain, but my goodness I had tears running down my face the entire time. Beauty is pain, but after that experience I thought I was done with microblading. Then Renee entered the brow scene, and I gave it another shot. (I got my wedding makeup done by her so I've seen her work and trust her talent.) It was literally painless! She told me a lot of places skimp on the numbing cream because it's costly and use some cheaper stuff. She also gave me some organic salve to take home and use during the healing process. I am so happy that I found Renee! I was researching Microblading for quite some time but I was having trouble finding a technician I felt comfortable with.
