I will put a picture of my eyebrows how they looked like after she burned my eyebrows very badly with a chemical product. After that happened they didn't care anymore. My first session was around December of 2019 and was supposed to have my second session in the middle of March, which obviously didn't happen. After reading some great reviews here, I called and made an appointment for one microblading session + touch up. I went in for my first microblading appointment last Sunday morning. The space is really clean and nicely decorated. Nikita was very attentive and made sure that I was comfortable and informed in every step throughout. Surprisingly, the actual microblading did not hurt at all. The numbing cream that Nikita uses is fantastic. In fact, during the process I was falling asleep because I felt no pain (and partially because I had an early appointment). She provides detailed aftercare instructions and even some grape seed oil. I left with fuller looking brows in the shape I wanted. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the result, and am looking forward to the touch up! read more

Nikita is AMAZING!! I came here for Microneedling (FYI she uses a Dermapen) with a Groupon and had a wonderful experience. I can be a pain in the butt client asking a million questions and she answered every.single.one.of.them and was not annoyed in the slightest bit! She explained the process to me, demo the tool she was using, and even showed me the sealed sterile packaging the pen (needles) come in that she was going to use. The whole process took about an hour (there's about a 15/20 mins 'waiting' period to let the lidocaine set in (aka numbing gel). Environment: Her suite is on a floor shared by many other professionals and honestly its a little dated - as is most buildings in NYC and the building's bathroom (its shared) needs work (its from 1709, but it didn't smell so thats a win). Originally, I was considering someone else, but after looking at Groupon and yelp, I decided to go with Nikita instead. I'm really happy I did. Nikita is a gem. I lucked out for sure. Everything about my experience with my artist, Nikita, was awesome. She is a true professional and artist. Even from my initial contact and appt. setting, I knew she was the 'real deal' not a hack. I knew what to expect before I even arrived at her clean and organized location. I sent pictures of my brows with and without make up and gave information about my skin type (oily)--all of which she required 2 weeks before the appointment. Because of Nikita's thorough approach, I was emailed extensive information about the process and what to expect during and post procedure. Being a professional communicator myself, I felt I was dealing with an equal. When I arrived, it was just peaceful and really chill. Nikita took the time talk to me about my desired shape and my lifestyle (corporate!) so that she could determine a shape and intensity that would work in all settings (to "fleek" or not to "fleek" - - I chose 'FLEEK me baby!'). Once we decided on a shape after trying a few, Nikita went about perfecting the drawn shape and applying the numbing cream (it really, really works!). There was no feeling rushed or a sense that she was getting frustrated. Nikita seemed genuinely pleased I was there. (Why can't every business owner or service person behave like this???) I was numb after 40 minutes of relaxing and reading a mag in the waiting room while Nikita prepared her set up. Once I lay down on the table, Nikita got to work. I felt absolutely NOTHING. I only heard the scraping sound. Nikita showed the still packaged needles before starting, mixed the dyes and started work. Half way through, she sat me up to inspect the brow so far. More intensity or stay natural? I chose intense (go hard or go home!) I was shocked but thrilled with the final product--the brows are very dark/intense immediately afterward which decreased dramatically over the weeks as I healed. The entire process took 2.5 hours. The numbing cream wore off when I got home. Oh, the pain (face, meet frying pan). A ziplock bag of ice cubes wrapped in a washcloth killed the pain in about 30-minutes. The Follow-up Appointment. Yes. YOU. MUST. HAVE. A. FOLLOW UP. By the time my follow up came about at week six, my fabulous fleeky brows were just about a mere shadow of what they started out as. It's a process: shock, doubt, like, love, loss. I was hyped for the follow up, I felt like an unfinished piece of art languishing on an easel. My follow up was met with the same attention, care and professionalism as my initial appointment. Speaking with Nikita is like being with an old friend (remember when you played make up as a little girl). Nikita absolutely PERFECTED the template laid six weeks prior. I new what to expect immediately after as well as the healing process--I was prepared. My visual transformation at Nikita's hands was not so overt or out of usual visual portfolio that people (other than my mother, cousin and sister) could readily detect exactly what was different about my face--my brows fit my face and look glamorous and natural ("glamatural"). They know something is different, they can't put their finger on it. Seriously. I'm 4-weeks post follow-up and I CANNOT remember my face before getting microblading (crazy, right?) It looks like I've always had lush, perfectly shaped brows. Now, I swear, I get so many lingering looks from men (and women). At 49 years old, this cosmetic procedure has served as a face lift. My doctor, whom I see every year, said he couldn't believe how good I look for my age. I catch myself in the mirror and I'm reminded of my 30th year of life (before metabolism slowed to a crawl and hormones nose-dived). It's a little change (not lipo), but it has a noticeable confidence boosting impact. Nikita is the best, just the best. Oh, and yes, I used her Groupon. So I wanted to wait until I saw the complete results of the healing process before posting my review and I'm so very pleased. My eyebrows came out BEAUTIFUL. Honestly I thought they wouldn't because I had a scar from a piercing I got in my teenage years that was right on the end of my lashes and that hair never grew back. So so happy I found Nikita and Icon Microblading. Not only are my brows better than I could of imagined but the experience was pain free and fun. One tip for anyone getting their brows done is bring headphones and listen to music during the microblading... helps you to zone out. Thank you Belinda for my beautiful brows! Belinda immediately put me at ease while she walked me through the procedure, the consent forms, and all my aftercare questions. I personally knew what to expect since I'd previously had microblading done about four years ago, but it was nonetheless good to know that I was in good hands. I never felt rushed or uncomfortable during the entire process. The office itself (the 75 Maiden Lane location) was immaculate and brightly lit. Belinda was really great about explaining that she would do some shading in addition to individual strokes because of my oily skin type. Pain level wise, I would say the shading hurt more than the individual strokes, so be prepared to breathe through the uncomfortable bits (it wasn't bad at all). There is numbing cream involved, but in my experience it's never been 100% in preventing pain. Belinda has a lovely bedside manner. We chatted throughout the procedure, and I truly felt at ease the entire time. In the end, I am in love with my newly refreshed brows. Iliana is such an artist! I had my brows microbladed at another place last year. Was happy enough with the results, but decided to try a new place when it came time to have them redone. I'm SO glad I came here. I feel like lliana took the time and care with my eyebrows as if they were on her own face. At first, I was a little scared and hesitant to try its service since I had not seen the place yet and its price is a lot less than the normal price for microblading (I had a really good deal). However, it gave me so much comfort that this place received 5 stars (not less) from all the people who had their brows done, especially by Nikita, the girl who did my brows. It was such a big relief that every time I typed in "icon microblading" in google,it will come up right away, with all the info and reviews, which assured me it was a legit business. I loved how Nikita did my brows according to how I exactly wanted them. Everyone loves full thicker brows but those just don't suit my small face and eyes (I've tried them before) so I asked her to follow my natural brows. She was very gentle and her way of explaining things especially during the procedure was very calm and comforting. She was very good in explaining everything and explaining it again when it just didn't register in your head the first time cuz you were nervous. I even learned the different techniques used for microblading. I learned from her that shading and powdering are the terms/techniques used for achieving the always-done-brows that I wanted so I wouldn't have to do add some shade to my brows every morning. I was happy to find this out since I wasn't a fan of the hair stroke technique from the very beginning after seeing it on YouTube. But who knows I might start to like it after my brows heal and I see the final result. Nikita was very friendly and u could sense that she was sincere in everything she says. My original brows looked decent with makeup but without it, it's thin and has no shape. My very first microblading left me traumatized when I bought a Groupon promotion 2 years ago. She shaved off the ends of my brows without letting me know, to give me what she said was a better shape. The before picture is the aftermath of that work. Faded only a bit after 2 years but it had no shape or hair strokes. Her techniques were bad so never went back for touch-up. Fast forward. I pondered whether I should give microblading another go. I browsed through Groupon again, because microblading is highly expensive. Icon Microblading has affordable prices but luckily, I found they had a promotion. Nikita is professional, patient, welcoming, and most importantly, she listens to you and explains. I felt at ease. The consultation and the process was meticulous. She took her time. The staffs really want what's best for the customer while providing expert advice. Long story short, after I healed the shape and the hair strokes looked great! My left brow was being difficult and it was a bit sparse and patchy. My Groupon included Touchup so I made an appointment. After the Touchup healed, the left brow looks a lot better but there is still that one spot that could use extra strokes. For now, I guess I can live with that.
