Luv this LeLabo branch in the wicker park area. A little easier to park here then streeterville but not by much. The store reminds me of a vintage library and a barber shop had a baby. A quaint space where you can browse and discover your signature scent or different ones for your different events in your life!!! Not only do they carry perfume but also have an array of lotions, shampoo & body wash to layer your fragrance once you find your winner scent!! I also luv the home candles that can help make your home space smell just as wonderful as you!! If you are looking for that niche fragrance that smells unique & luxe this is the place to go!! Since I discovered Another 13 a few yrs ago I have refilled my bottle a few times over!! Another awesome service provided by Le Labo you can purchase refills!! I also layer it with Bergomotte 22 a fresh clean scent that is so uplifting and refreshing!! We stayed at The Robey. As a guest we received a token for a free sample of one of Le Labo's fragrances. Le Labo is part of the hotel building, though you do have to go outside to get there. Do it; it's totally worth it. The person that helped me was very patient. She not only explained Le Labo to me, but also helped me explore the scents. After making my decision I spend a lot of time sampling the candle scents. Side Note: I'm a candle freak. While the candles were expensive, I was not deterred. I knew I was going to leave with a candle and I did. The candles burn beautifully and smell heavenly. The shape of the jar is genius. It gently tapers as it goes up. As the candle burns lower the jar design helps concentrate the heat and melts the wax evenly. I have ordered candles and fragrances from Le Labo after returning home. If you're staying at The Robey, go get your free fragrance sample and get addicted. read more

I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my recent experience at Le Labo. I walked in excited--not only because I was visiting the store for the first time, but also because I'm new to the city. Unfortunately, that excitement quickly faded. I was barely greeted, and the person working seemed visibly annoyed by my presence. The vibe was cold and unwelcoming, with awkward eye contact that made me feel like I wasn't supposed to be there. I asked a few questions since I'm new to the brand, but the responses I got were vague, short, and dismissive. Having worked in retail for over 10 years, I don't expect over-the-top service--but I do expect basic courtesy and a willingness to help. This encounter left a bad impression. I actually loved one of the scents I tried, but the experience was enough to make me walk out without buying anything. Sadly, I'm not sure I'd return. read more

We had so much fun at Le Labo today. We perused all the scents, sniffed and tested many, and had a nice chat with the friendly ladies who were working today. We walked out with Bergamote 22 and Vetiver 46 eaux de parfums, classic Le Labo scents. Watching them mix them in front of us is always fun to watch. Le Labo products are of the highest quality. I first came across the brand while staying at a boutique hotel in California. Their scents are invigorating, personal and soulful. Prior to coming to the store, I had only purchased hair and body products, and done so online. The store associates were kind, knowledgeable and encouraged interaction with the parfumes. Once I made my selection, the parfum was hand blended on site in front of me--that was incredible to watch! Then the bottle was able to be customized with any text I wanted. I purchased the fragrance for my wedding day, so we added text to commemorate the day. A very special touch. And the bottle can be brought back to any Le Labo location to be refilled at a discount. Low key spot for fragrances you've probably never smelled before unless you were into some high fashion NYC sh*t. But nonetheless, this spot is great. The staff are very knowledgeable and is a very clean spot. You get what you pay for here so don't expect some $30 fragrance so if that's what you're looking for then don't bother and just go to Target and buy there. read more

I normally would not be one to write a review, but had to come here to talk about my experience yesterday. Went in the store with the intention to purchase and stood around smelling the different scents for about 10 minutes. There were two people working and one was helping someone while the other was behind the counter. Tried to make eye contact with someone to assist me and no luck. The person behind the counter was busy shuffling papers. It was when I turned to my son and said I love Santal but refuse to buy it because no one even said hello, that we preceded to walk out. When we started to walk out is when we heard " have a nice day". We immediately went to Dyptique where the staff is ALWAYS friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their fragrances and make you feel welcome. Glad I didn't spend my $$$ at Le Labo and spent it at Dyptique instead. I will never step foot in LeLabo again. Totally felt snubbed and unwelcome. read more

For the past 5 years, I've searched for a brand or signature smell I've wanted to wear because there are a few things as memorable as a smell. Thus, I write this review with angst because it's like finding gold at the end of the rainbow and telling the world where it is. Scent, like music can take you to a moment in time like being a child playing outside in the fall. In a meeting, date, or with a significant other it can create an experience within an experience...inception It's a Willy Wonka for adults that appreciate smell. The product are like nothing you have ever smelled and the staff is 6 stars. You get to sample all of their products before purchase and you will walk out smelling like God/Universe has favored you. Hi don't buy into the hype. A $75 candle has an expiration date lol it's cheaply made, stuff burns sideways (yes I cut it), the charcoal mask left my skin with a black film after 10 minutes and I had to use baby oil to remove it. The perfume lasts an hour at most (even on pressure points) The customer service is subpar. Young people who work in a shop. That's all you get. It's not cool kids. Glade candles are better trust me. Thanks for nothing Le Labo and for robbing me blind on 2 candles and cheap perfume. read more

I bought a Discovery Set of 6 fragrances for $125. I wasn't happy with the scents that were in the Discovery Set, so I reached out to the customer support (branded as a concierge). I initially didn't want my money back, because I was excited about finding a new scent. The concierge team reached out to this store to assist me in ordering a new Discovery Set of the full 17 scents, which would be another purchase. I wanted to send back my Discovery Set of 6 to exchange for the Discovery Set of 17 fragrances which is $89 (but smaller sample sizes). This store in Chicago never reached out. Through multiple email correspondences with Le Labo's centralized customer support, I was finally told that these fragrances are final sale, no exception, as stated in the terms of sale. I gave Le Labo an opportunity to assist me in finding another scent, but I was first directed to spend more money. Then, I was told I could not return or exchange the Discovery Set for a full (or partial) refund. That was a disappointing customer experience. I cannot recommend a purchase from this company. read more

A little hard to find but look for their neon in the window. I know you've seen these candles in magazines and blog posts and wondered if they're worth it. These fragrances are the real deal to me - long lasting, memorable and unlike any other. I treated myself to a small size of Santal and I can't wait to use it. The fragrance is blended on the spot for you and you get to choose what will be printed on the label. The service was very personal and not stuffy at all. Mary was awesome and she gave us many suggestions and explained all the various sizes and price points offered. We were given a bunch of samples to try of the body products. It's great they offer samples of things you can't reasonably try in store like shampoos and shave creams. They know what they're doing; get ya hooked and make ya come back. If I was a local, I would need a Le Labo piggy bank to support my habit. read more

I've been a fan of Le Labo for awhile, and was so excited to see this store nearby. I went in to purchase the Fleur d'Oranger body lotion and found Amanda there to be so friendly and helpful. This brand is a real treat; they create exceptionally high quality fragrances. I feel so lucky they've opened a location near me. I will be back to purchase again, maybe the Bergamote!
