I was disappointed with my experience at this salon. I asked for a natural-looking Gel-X set, but the final result was the opposite of what I requested. The nails were much too thick, and the Gel-X tips sat on my nail beds with an unnatural upward curve instead of the slightly downward, natural shape I wanted. They were also uneven and several were glued on crooked. The quality was poor enough that even my young daughter noticed and suggested I have them redone somewhere else. When the technician asked if I liked my nails, I was honest and said that I didn't. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction before leaving, there was no effort to address the issues or offer any type of discount or solution. In total, I paid $250 for my Gel-X nails, a pedicure, and my daughter's pedicure. Given the quality of the work and the lack of customer service, I do not feel the service was worth the cost. Unfortunately, I would not return to this salon or recommend it to others for nail enhancements. If you're looking for Gel-X or acrylic nails, I would suggest exploring one of the many other nail salons in Koreatown instead. I might consider this salon only for a basic manicure or pedicure, but I would not trust them with more detailed nail services. read more

I want to give them 5 but my Gel X nails were the wrong shape and they were too long and the nail tech was rough. And the corners of the tips are kinda sharp. My fingers are sore. I flinched a few times she would just say sorry but continue to be rough. Idk if maybe she was rushing. The design and color is fine, but the shape is totally wrong. I showed them a short coffin and I ended up with 1/4"" square nails. They asked if I wanted "short" and I said " yes like picture. Maybe Idk what nail salon short is. Some of the gel polish at the tip was a little lumpy in some parts and the more I looked at them the more I realized they look like duck nails. Which I hate. I don't get my nails done often, I let it go at first cause I though maybe this is the best they can do and I just won't come back, but I got home and realized I really do hate them. When I walked in all I wanted was to remove my pedicure and just clean up my feet. When you get your pedicure here they say that the removal is free which is why I kept coming back to get my pedicures here. I did not get any polish on my toes but was charged $40. On the website it says a walk in basic pedicure is $40 and that's WITH polish which I did not get, nor do I think they used sea salt or massaged my feet. read more

Rushed & sloppy job. Very disappointed as the 1st experience with Anna was great. This time made my hard gel very thick, bumpy and shaped nails differently. When I asked her to fix it, she wouldn't and seemed irritated. I explained I couldn't come back the next day as I'm leaving out of town and asked for her to please remove the gel polish and reapply - she wouldn't. I think I've finally found my nail shop in Solo Nails! Huge Perks for me: -Booking online. This makes my life so much easier. You can see prices and book times before going in to avoid any confusion. -Tons of beautiful color options. -Great staff that do such a beautiful job. Very friendly! -The pedicure chairs are so comfortable, relaxing and have a massage function. -They have a TV playing good shows. Last time I was watching Physical 100 while getting fixed up. -Super clean and super chill. -Open Sundays!!! It's hard to find any faults at all, actually. I literally have gone to 5 or 6 shops in KTown before I found Solo Nails. When I first went in, they basically said to me...OooOo girl, they did your nails dirty! They were super jacked up LOL! I personally was shocked to get a final bill of $90 for gel polish with nail art - apparently they charge $3 per nail for art and neither my nail tech, the receptionist, nor the person who booked my appointment over Yelp informed me of that. I have been going to Solo Nail now for over a year, and my experience there has only gotten better. I only go for regular pedicures, so I can't speak to their other services. But after today, I highly recommend Erica, whose gentle but thorough work always leaves my toenails looking pretty and feeling good. On Monday, I had the beginnings of an ingrown toenail, which I prevented from getting worse with soakings and Neosporin. Today, Erica carefully clipped and extracted the piece of nail that was still a bit under the skin - and it barely hurt at all! It's been less than two hours, and my toe is 98% healed. Way over priced I paid 190 for gel X nails and toes and they didn't even do anything to my feet the paint job was terrible. I asked the girl to do my design over because it looked horrible and she was frustrated and did a sloppy job. I was still kind enough to leave a tip and she had a slight attitude but I would not recommend. Stay away from this place. read more

The color selection for gel is great, I love the Mostive collection they have which is an extra $5. Their pricing is slightly higher than what I normally pay $55 for a gel manicure with no removal. I don't think they are specialized in Gel X aaa Mỹ girlfriend got it done here once and the technician took literally 3 hours for a set. I was able to make a call-ahead appointment about half an hour advance for a Friday afternoon mani-pedi. The place was busy, though, so I wouldn't recommend walking in--I saw them turn away one woman while I was there. The salon is in a strip mall on Western, one I'd never actually visited before, with easy free parking. It isn't a big salon, but it felt sunny and open. Clean and welcoming, with comfortable chairs. The people were friendly and service was prompt and professional. I was directed to select colors and take a seat as soon as I walked in. I picked a couple eye-catching shades and settled in. Nicole and Asa did my manicure and pedicure, and they were both great. The experience was enjoyable and relaxing, and my nails look decent a month later--not one chip, just nail growth, which is only a little embarrassing on my fingers and barely noticeable on my toes. I'm glad to have a new neighborhood nail salon and would recommend Solo Nails to anyone looking for a good mani-pedi in Koreatown. Parking was a bit confusing because there was a valet guy standing there, but I pulled into a spot anyways oops. They just opened less than 2 months ago, so the space is newly renovated, clean & bright with the cutest decor. You truly feel like you're at a luxury nail salon, down to the velvet chairs & top grade polishes and nail art supplies. I called the day of to schedule an appointment, and Ogi squeezed me in for a same day appointment. I wasn't sure what designs I wanted, but I definitely wanted something elegant yet bling. I came in with a general idea of what I wanted, but Ogi chose the 2 polish colors and the size and color of the crystals for me. She really knows what she's doing! Ogi spent her time prepping my nails and did not rush, she took care of me so well! My nail plate and cuticles have never looked so clean! She shaped my nails so well and looked at my nails from different angles to make sure they looked evenly shaped. Each client gets a new set of nail tools that are packed in the blue plastic that dental tools come in. I had a lot of peace of mind knowing that there would be no contamination or risk of infection since the tools were disinfected prior to use. When it comes to applying the polish and applying the nail designs, Ogi was so meticulous and made sure to ask me if the placement of everything was okay. I asked for extra coats of my sheer polish and she happily did so. She even told me to text her if the crystals ever fall off so that I could come back and get them fixed.
