I will definitely recommend "les oeufs en couille d'ane", bone marrow, entrecote and the braised ham.

Not sure how to rate here. I'll ponder as I write…read more Let's start with the good. And when I say "good," I mean GREAT. The food here is magnificent. Top shelf. Every single thing we ate (and there were many things) was mind-blowingly delicious. There were cocktails (and mocktails!): a Last Word (Monkey 47 gin, Green Chartreuse, Luxardo, lime) for him and a Golden Pear mocktail for me. Both were outstanding and we each had two. We had the Beefy Bravas--a mille feuille potato topped with beef tartare and caviar--the Tobiko Crab Salad, and the Thai Salad (with seared toro, it's easily the best Thai papaya salad I've ever had). All were bonkers awesome. For our meat course, the husband got the Wagyu Picanha (all evidence points to it being a remarkable piece of beef) and I got the veal filet. The veal was one of the tenderest, most delicious pieces of meat I've ever eaten. The haricots beets we got as a side were crisp and sweet, and the pommes purées were otherworldly (complimentary). This is where the good part stops. The atmosphere of the restaurant was fine. But it was HOT. It is unusually hot in Paris this week but it was stifling inside the restaurant. But we could have dealt with that (the food was that good). The really disappointing part, however, was the service. We waited 20 minutes for anyone to ask if we wanted drinks (the restaurant was not crowded) and another 25 for someone to ask if we wanted to order. For context, a couple who arrived 10-15 minutes after us got a bottle of wine and their first course before the server--the same server for both tables--ever came to take our order. And it was like that throughout the meal. It's a shame, too, because the meal was exceptional otherwise. The service was bad enough that we won't return.

Unfortunately, they don't let you eat a full meal at the bar, only snacks. We waited for a cancellation, and ultimately the bartender was able to speak to the manager and find us a table! The French chateaubriand was outstanding, perfectly cooked and with a flavor profile completely different than American beef. Side dishes were well made and tasty, and the wine list solid. The sommelier was particularly helpful; she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and took great care of us. Professional service, high end dining, and an excellent menu. Highly recommended.

They used to have a restaurant in NYC and in my office building but covid killed it. Nice that it's near our hotel in Paris. Service was wonderful and our waitress was a doll. In true French fashion, we sat at a communal table with others which was luckily not a problem. Older, French architecture with a very steep and winding staircase to the upstairs bathroom. Character. The only reason why this isn't a 5 star instead of the 4 star is because the quality of the steak. I had several pieces that I had to spend extra time in chewing. Decent salad with their mustard type dressing. Fries are soooo good. The steak could be better but the butter green sauce helps a lot. Very good. Can't pass on this legend and you should dine here at least on one evening.

Good to go once. But it's really no big deal…read more I've heard about this place for years and have had several friends wax nostalgic about the menu-less restaurant that served steak and fries. After a 1:15 hour lineup on a Wednesday night, we finally sat down. Started wjth a pleasant walnut salad and I particularly liked the volume and taste of the salad dressing. It featured wasabi like mustard flavour. Bread didn't come with anything and was unremarkable Next came two generous servings of frites (delicious and cooked well) and average quality beef sirloin in a unique but oddly brown sauce. You have a choice of steak doneness. A point is close to medium rare (touch higher) and is the right way to go. The cut is thin and it's smothered in sauce that will continue to cook it. It's also placed above candles to maintain temperature. Aside from the history it's a fairly pedestrian steak. It's basically a cut of average quality meat smothered in a sauce that wouldn't be necessary if the cut of meat was better. Service felt like it was a cafeteria staff dressed in French maid outfits. It was quick and we were in and out in 45 minutes. Such is the speed of having a single set menu. Note, it says that no shorts are allowed but they served plenty of people wearing shorts.
