We ate here as a family at the suggestion of our hotel concierge at Hotel Madison. Small plates were great, service was as well. The salmon was outstanding and my favorite.

This place is like tapas with small plates. We went around 8 pm but there was a 40 min wait and we left our name and they called via WhatsApp. The food was very good and the flavours were great. We sat at the bar and the place was busy. Service was good.

Absolutely love this place wine bar and fresh French tapas extraordinaire. The Chef Carlos and his gang have created a high octane bar with a young and fun vibe. The tapas are well priced and you have plenty of local wines by the glass. This is a low key busy place where many Parisians love to hang out. So definitely a great spot in Paris

Loved this pretty unassuming tapas spot. Really great flavors and unpretentious vibes. The staff definitely makes you feel super welcome! So damn good!

This place was recommended by a good friend of mine who lives in Paris. We came around 630pm on a Thursday. Once you walk in, you swag yourself at an empty seat (if any). I would say that by 7, all seats were taken. We sat at the counter right next to the chef's station, so the whole time, we got to watch them cook. They have chalkboards throughout the restaurant that have the food menu written in them. We tried the salmon, cauliflower, ceviche, pork belly, and beef tartare. Everything was prepared well, but we especially enjoyed the ceviche. The raw fish was extremely tender and the sauce had hints of passion fruit. Definitely get this dish. The rest of the food we got was good too but didn't stand out the way the ceviche did.

Definitely a must try if you are in the area. The staff was super friendly and went over the menu and answered any questions we had. The venue was busy but the food came out pretty fast and there wasn't a long wait. Everything was very clean and organized. We had a few shared plates and some wine. The food was delicious, I definitely recommend the razor clams. Will Visit every time I am in the area.

Wow, what can I say? We just finished the best food we've had in Paris. Amazing!! Drinks: G&T with elderberry. Not sweet, perfect freshness Food: Oyster mushrooms: these were amazing. Perfectly cooked with just enough soy. Razor clams: these were fairly gritty. Honestly I'm not sure if they were cleaned or not. But, the flavor profile and texture of the clam were stellar. I'd get them again. Salmon: this was half cooked as advertised with the most delicate texture. YUM! Strawberry Pavlova: just enough meringue, fresh whipped cream and ripe strawberries. Doesn't get any better for dessert. In fact if you look at my photo you will see that it was so good I forgot to take a pic. Ambiance: Quintessential Paris, very small but a great multicultural vibe. Mostly counter seating with barstools but looked like two high tops in the back. Service: super friendly and patient with our attempt to speak French. Staff graciously switched to English after we mangled our drink order. Overall, this was the best thing I've eaten in Paris. In fact it is so good we are going again. Kitchen opens at 6pm on Sunday so be there at 5:45 to get seats. When we left at 7pm the place was full.

Stumbled upon Freddy's on our first night in Paris and I have to say it was such a delicious first meal that still gets me salivating. The restaurant is very small and tight and during their busy hours, expect a wait. It's well worth it! My husband and I got here around 9 pm on a Wednesday and the place was bustling but we found a spot at the bar where we ordered a bottle of white wine and were able to wait for a spot to free up. We waited about 35-40 minutes and were seated at a bar top that overlooks the kitchen area in the middle of the restaurant. We perused the menu and ordered several tapas to share. -Miso salmon (€8): Salmon was cooked to perfection and had the perfect amount of miso flavor. If you're a fan of salmon, make sure you order this! (5/5) -Lamb kebab (€8): The lamb was shaved thinly and had great flavor. Almost felt like a deconstructed gyro without the pita bread. I liked this dish a lot but it wasn't my favorite. (4/5) -Pork loin (€9): Pork was cooked well and had great flavor. The mustard complemented the meat nicely. Also a tasty dish but preferred some of the others over this one. (4/5) -Beef tartare (€11): The beef was great quality and very fresh. The raw egg and sesame oil drizzled on top gave it a wonderful flavor. I enjoyed this dish a lot! (5/5) -Razor clams (€8): These were amazing! The garlic butter sauce on the clams were phenomenal and the clams were chewy and delicious. I could've definitely ordered a second round of these. (5/5) -Duck breast with honey (€10): Duck was cooked perfectly and the honey was a great complement. Sweet potato puree accompaniment was also very tasty with the duck breast. Highly recommend! (5/5) -Beef with chimichurri (€11): Steak was cooked perfectly and the chimichurri sauce on top was excellent! One of my favorites. (5/5) All in all, this was a hidden gem that has amazing tapas and wine. If you're searching for good bites, check out Freddy's!

Really Great atmosphere. Was recommended this tapas bar by a friend. Everyone seemed like they were having fun. We got the sweet potatoes fritters (don't remember what they're called in french), the duck, lamb, and a few other yummy items. Recommend.

    Roasted eggplant with almonds

Freddy's gets packed as soon as they open so make sure you get there early. Their tapas make it easy to share and try a lot of dishes. We had the eggplant, the ceviche, hanger steak and the salmon, all of which were super tasty. It's a fun vibe here, I love coming here every time I'm in Paris.

You have to come here! It is such an amazing little tapas Wine bar. It's very small and intimate. And you will be listening to your neighbors conversations. But it doesn't matter! That glass of wine, and the most amazing food ever! Yes, I know it's Paris France. But it's hard to find a place that legitimately, takes pride in the food they prepare and serve. Especially in such a touristy area. Of course most food here is going to be good. But like anywhere else, there is a hierarchy. And this spot is at the top! You order small plates. Each has 3 to 5 bites depending on how big your mouth is, LOL. And each bite is exquisite. From the razor clams, leaks, pork, mushrooms cut to look like fish, and three pieces of perfectly fried fish, you will want keep ordering. The tastes are sublime and delicious. Perfectly sized portions to share or eat alone. I look forward to going back and saving room for dessert.

This place is always popping off! We walked by several times to crowds outside waiting to be seated so when we saw a couple open seats one night, we practically ran inside! We ordered a delicious dry white wine to start followed by the razor clams, salmon and then asked the waiter to pick one of his favorites. He brought out some type of ham wrapped in prosciutto that was absolutely mouthwatering. The salmon was seared and cooked slightly rare, but it was perfect! The clams were a little to fishy tasting for me, but the sauce on top was very complimentary. Freddy's is fun and worth the wait, I highly suggest taking the time to grab a couple plates from here when in Paris.

"Half-cooked" salmon with miso. Highly recommended!

This place was recommended by a local, and was packed on the Tuesday night that my wife and I dined there (we were lucky to get seated without a reservation), so our expectations were high. We weren't disappointed. The food was inventive, perfectly-prepared, and uniformly delicious. Standouts from our meal include the "half-cooked" salmon (I'm attaching a pic of this), baked sweet potatoes with a green sauce, and "tempura" calamari. The only downside was that we felt a little cramped in our seats at the bar, but that only speaks to the success of the place, and was an inconvenience we happily put up with for a great meal.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

On the other hand, it made me realize that my mother was a terrible cook. Bistro des Augustins is a small, cozy venue offering both indoor seating and terrace seating near Pont Neuf. It serves a small number of curated dishes, including a wonderfully traditional Bistro Gratin in a homey ceramic dish served piping hot with a brown crispy cheesy top, herbs, spices and chicken. You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. My eyes have been opened to what's possible. Thank you Bistro des Augustins for expanding my culinary horizons. Five stars.

The menu is entirely in French which, honestly, makes the experience better. You stop ordering with certainty and start ordering with curiosity. My wife had the risotto d'épeautre aux St. Jacques. I ordered the Magret de Canard au Romarin. The duck was solid. A 3.5/5 kind of dish. Rich, savory, comforting after a long day walking through the city. But the risotto surprised me more. The scallops were delicate, the spelt added this earthy texture that made the dish feel substantial without ever becoming heavy. And then there's the mousse au chocolat. The famous one. Served from an oversized bowl with this almost excessive "all you can eat" energy that somehow still feels elegant instead of gimmicky. We only needed a few bites. Soft, luxurious, lightly bitter chocolate balanced perfectly against just enough sweetness. The kind of dessert that doesn't ask for attention. It quietly earns it.

I enjoyed the mini mushroom raviolis and delicious Grand Marnier soufflé. The plat was somewhat odd because the chorizo chunks were really strong flavored which overpowered the scallops. I ate one chorizo chunk and pushed the rest aside. The scallops were cooked perfectly but not seasoned. The service was gruff/quite brief with dishes dropped by assistants. My biggest complaint was the stressful ambiance during the meal. It was freezing outside. The door constantly opened and new patrons came in hovering over diners in my room.
