I came across this shop on the way out of the mall with just 15mins before they closed. The gentleman Reyshaune who was working there offered EXCEPTIONAL customer service. He was so nice and well-informed on all of the desserts. When picking out each flavored macaron he provided me a quote to match the flavor or a fun fact about the taste. I was so impressed with him. We were a party of 7 ordering a variety of macarons, gelato, shakes, and pastries close to closing time and he did not skip a beat. He didn't rush us and was all about having happy customers. I have been to other locations for this company that do not offer the same level of service so that speaks volumes. I don't go to Jacksonville too often, but when I do I will make sure to stop over to this mall for some macarons because they are so delicious and worth every penny. I love French macarons. Le Macaron is conveniently located in The Avenues Mall. The shop is cute with (of course) it's French theme. They have a great variety of macaron flavors. I tried about 4 of them. While these little bite sized treats are good, I feel like they are too expensive for the size--$2.55 each. I've had larger ones elsewhere about the same price. The customer service is good. I think I'll skip this place if I'm in the area again. read more

This place has the best cappuccino ever! I'm so afraid to eat my macarons because they are too pretty to eat. But I did get a great deal through Yelp's Holi-Deal. The young man who helped me was full of personality and suggestions. He made my visit memorable and helped me pick some great flavors that I am excited to try. His favorite flavor was colombian coffee, so that should be interesting to try. They have a wide variety of flavors and coffee, so there is something for everyone. I had them at the Winter Park, FL location and they are very good. I decided on getting the chocolate truffle-like ganaches. These are made by Viktoria Richards down in Tampa and sold in Le Macaron. I really like artisan chocolates, so much that I decided to get 12. 2 Earl Grey Lavender 1 Mojito 1 Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel 1 Fresh Mint 1 Chai Masala 1 Pineapple Chipotle 1 Wild Berry Pinot Noir 1 Strawberry Riesling 1 Cinnamon 1 Lemon Vodka 1 I don't remember hahaha I've eaten a few of these and they are pretty darn good. My friend got 4 mackies and he really enjoyed them. I know he got the Cuban Espresso, Raspberry, and Pistachio, but I don't remember the last one. We both got to taste the Violette gelato, only because we weren't sure what it would taste like. Boy, that was the best gelato flavor I ever had. I noticed that the American Cookie and Vanilla were popular because they was almost gone. That's a shame. People don't know what they're missing. While this isn't my first time here it's been a while since I've been to Avenue's Mall. So I decided to take advantage of the Yelp Holi-deals. The selection of macaroons is incredible and they have special chocolates, gelato, pastries, and coffee (the coffee is really good too... perfect with the treats!)! Today I got the peanut butter, coconut, birthday cake, gingerbread, Madagascar vanilla, chocolate (I forgot the chocolate name... it's not plain chocolate...I believe it has coffee in it). I tried all of them (ok let's be serious...I ate all of them because they were so good!). These macaroons are so delicious! A sleeve of 6 is a great little gift! Packaging is nice too! I love supporting small business like this! The quality of the macaroons are amazing. The chocolates are so intricate and detailed, and yes yummy too! Macaroons are expensive no matter where you buy them but the finer things In life cost money. That being said they are worth it and at 2.50 a piece that's not that bad for true authentic French pastries! I love macarons, so when ever I see them for sale I have to get some! This store is located in the Avenues Mall, downstairs next to Lush, near Forever 21. It is a really pretty store all pink and foo foo, even with authentic French guys working the counter!! ( I think!?) I asked if the macarons were from France, and they said no they are made by a French baker from up North, then shipped here. They have macarons, fancy chocolates, and gelato for sale but I was focused on the macaroons! They have quite a few flavors, maybe 15? With each one priced at $2.50... Or a discounted price with the more you buy. I just got two to try them out, salted Carmel, and coconut....to me macaron need to be chewy with a nice creamy filling, not brittle or dry on the exterior shell. These were nicely chewy, with a little dryness on the crust....the filling on the salted Carmel was weird, really liquidy and buttery, the coconut was better with a nice creamy filling. This is a fun new store to pop into to get a treat while shopping! read more

Came here with my wife and two children, and chose a pack of 12, on Wed, Feb 13th 2019. This review is not for the quality of the macarons. It's for the rude and poor customer service from a 'Valerie', who saw to our order. We arrived around 40 min before closing. Not only did she look less than pleased to serve us, she snatched the menu out of my youngest daughter's (10 yrs) hand at the counter, while she was looking at it, and she quite exaggeratedly rolled her eyes at my wife when she asked for some tape to cover one end of the box. This is after we made a purchase of $30, mind you. I came here with the recommendation of my wife, that the macarons were excellent. So we did, and she had kind words to say about the manager. However, looks like the manager was out and we had 'an experience' with the ill-mannered staff. I insisted to my wife she should return them, as no one should deserve business who disrespect their customers, but she said she had no quarrel with the macarons themselves, just the girl working the counter. In any case, an unpleasant experience. Macarons were good though. 5 stars for the macarons. - 4 stars for 'Valerie' rude attitude and service. read more

The location was styled beautifully, a terrific place to stop and have a break while shopping. We got a box of macarons for after dinner (they held up to an afternoon of being slung around while we were schlepping all of our bags too). Made a great finale to our weekend. Will definitely return and recommend to my other foodie friends. They were a bit pricey BUT also well made, delicious and impeccably made. Martha Stewart and Pierre Desfontaines Laduree would approve. They also had the most beautiful chocolates I have seen in a long time. ..but I did not buy them however they are on my radar for a future try. Nice hot chocolate. My daughter is addicted to their macaroons. Staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable. I would give 5 stars, but the last time I was there I bought the meringues and they were not so great. I bought 3 kinds, the coconut was fantastic, however the orange just tasted like chemicals, it was awful. My daughter took one bite out of the mint which is her favorite flavor and wouldn't eat anymore. After a week on the counter, I trashed them. Felt super wasteful. read more

Since I'm in love with French Macarons I though I should stop in and try one to see how it faired against the ones from another Macaron shop around Jacksonville. Stopped by the kiosk at the TownCenter today for a Saturday treat, and I am so glad that I did. I have a Blair Waldorf kinda love for macarons. So light and delicate, Le Macaron did not leave me hanging. The flavors are very faint, which I think may be my only complaint, but they weren't dismissible. I was really craving a macaron one day and this was the only place that was open. The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. I chose a variety of 6. I picked 2 salted caramel, 1 walnut, 1 ginger bread, 1 hazelnut praline, 1 passion fruit. Had I only purchased the salted caramel this would have been a solid 4 star review but the other 4 flavors were lacking and the hazelnut praline was stale. I'm assuming the salted caramel is one of if not the top seller so that would explain why it tasted so fresh and it melted in my mouth. The atmosphere itself is not bad but not cozy or warm, I mean, you're still in the mall so nothing authentic feeling. I've had macarons from multiple patisseries, including the popular Laduree in New York City. I have yet to travel to France to have "real" macarons, though. We visited Le Macaron on a Monday afternoon. The woman working there greeted us and was very friendly. Here we tried coconut, vanilla, pistachio, hazelnut praline, and lavender macarons. They all had a crisp outside and moist inside. They weren't too sweet, and they tasted so fresh. We didn't have any that were dry or too moist. Yes, they were $2.50 each, but they were a fairly big size. I spend way too much money on macarons when I find them, so it didn't bother me. We also tried the gelato. I placed an order for my daughters bridal shower that was held in South Florida and when I picked up the order it was not only spot on(now a-days just getting it right is difficult for most business') but the manager was extremely helpful. She had everything packed in a disposable cooler for me ready for the long trip. I dealt with 5 employees and each one of them was courteous and helpful.....cant remember the last time I was so satisfied with a business. I try to stay pretty positive about places but these macarons were no where near what I expected. I ordered the mint white chocolate and Madagascar vanilla. Neither one had any flavor. The texture of the macaron was good but the only flavor these had were from the cookie itself. There was no flavor in the filling. There was no flavor of mint or of vanilla. For the price they are charging for these I would expect them to be really good. I won't be back. read more

We stopped by while shopping at the mall as my daughter loves macarons. As we walked in, my husband called me and I walked over to a table to sit and talk to him (we were out of town) and I didn't want to be rude and be on the phone while at the counter. When I finished my call (2 minutes), I went up to the counter to check out the items. I then went back to the table and told my daughter to go check out which ones she wanted and I would treat her. This is when an employee loudly yelled over the counter to me and said "Are you going to buy anything?" I told her I was and she proceeded to yell " because you have been sitting here a long time and if you are going to sit here, you have to buy something!" I was shocked to be treated this way and let her know that I was on the phone earlier and that my daughter was about to pick out what she wanted. She made another rude comment which embarrassed me in front of the other customers present. For the record, half the tables were empty. My daughter did pick out the ones she wanted and ate one and we left. She enjoyed her macaron but I will never be back based on the rudeness of your employee. I believe her name tag said Annabelle. She could have worded her statements more positively and not been so condescending. I should have walked out and not bought anything.
