1. The sales clerk, in an effort to make conversation, asked where we had eaten lunch. We told her and she proceeded to let us know we should never go there, that she had gotten sick from their food, and suggested a different location. She went on and on about a place we had already enjoyed. 2. I sat down because I have a condition that makes standing up for too long to cause me pain, while my friend shopped. The same clerk asked if my friend, who looks nothing like me and is a couple of years older than me, was my daughter. This all made me feel so bad and highly insulted that I had to write a bad review. I wonder if this clerk is the owner. Maybe try a more positive and polite way to interact with your customers. I wish my friend had not bought anything from them. I know I didn't!!! read more

Talked to the sales person at 3:30, said I would come before 6:30, due to traffic in The Collection I made it just before 5:45, took me 45 minutes to drive there. Was shopping for a special occasion. Right as I got a handful of clothes to try on and likely purchase the sales girl said the owner doesn't want to pay them so they are closing in ten minutes even though she told me 6:30, she was aggressive, when I said how long it took me to get there (clearly disappointed) she said that's not true my grandma lives in Riverpark. I bought the sweater I had on hold. I will never shop there again which is sad because I wanted the dress to go with the sweater. I was so excited to shop local for the baby shower of my first grandchild. Do not sleep on this cute boutique. First off- Melissa, who's been there both times I've visited the store, is beyond amazing. I thought she was the owner the way she was so genuine when talking about the items and the store. Both experiences there were great. I just happened to walk in because the store I was trying to go to was closed. I always assume shopping downtown that boutiques are $$$ but I was in a good mood and went in anyways. I AM GLAD I DID. Not only were the prices insanely reasonable, they had some of the softest articles of clothing I have ever had on my body. I was planning on going to Vuori for a sweater and I Kid you not, I found a sweater in this shop SOFTER than Vuori that I've purchased in the past, and $32... what?????! amazing. I went back to the store to repurchase items that I purchased because I loved them so much I had to mail them to my sister in law. This softness of the clothes should be shared. ;) Last brag is on my first purchase to the store I had bought some sunglasses and I had assumed that I misplaced them, and she had them behind the counter with MY NAME ON THEM and immediately let me know upon walking in the store (I had only been here one other time). My friend and I came up to Ventura for thrift store shopping and stumbled upon Le Monde retail shop! We saw a pretty red beaded dress in the window display and my friend wanted to inquire about it. Once we entered the store, it was a bit of a shock because the relaxed boho chic style did not match the formal party dresses in the window, so we asked about that red dress! Please keep in mind, this is not a negative point, but rather an observation. I liked the clothes and jewelry and shoes in the front section of the shop too. Melissa the staff member was really sweet and kind and said the formal dresses were in the back room, so we followed her. My friend picked out the pretty red beaded dress and I found a Little Black Dress! All the formal dresses were 50% off, so this was a fantastic deal! My beautiful party dress was $28! I tried on a few more, and all of them looked great on me, but this black dress fit me the best. I also discovered they were having some shoes on sale for $7!!! So I bought a gold pair of "Birkenstock" style flat sandals! My friend and I had so much fun in this shop I feel like Melissa was our personal stylist! She was terrific! Next time I am up in Ventura, I will definitely make Le Monde a destination stop! read more

I shop here every year when I visit Ventura and I am never disappointed! Always trendy clothing, shoes, accessories at a great price! The workers are usually quite friendly, today Savannah helped us and she was a doll dressed to the nines. The only downside is they don't have a computer at checkout so the worker has to write everything by hand. Savannah was quick and accurate, though having a computer would make it better for everyone! I've been shopping here since I was in high school and it's only gotten better. They have a huge selection of bohemian dresses, blouses, and jewelry. Their prices make it easy to update your wardrobe as the seasons change. I drive here from Santa Clarita and somehow it's become the only place I shop because their pieces are so unique. Employees are always amazing and greet you as soon as you walk in, and offer to start a dressing room as soon as you take an item off the rack. Review update: I'm not sure if my last review will remain or if this will replace it. But in case it's deleted, the short story is that I left a one star review a couple weeks ago because I tried return one of several items I purchased and even though it had the tag still on and the item was still for sale on the floor, I was not allowed to exchange it because I did not have the receipt. So I left a bad review here. The owner reached out to me and was polite and immediately offered to make the situation right. (MUCH better than the typical negative review I leave on here where the owner calls me). And I just now left the store with no problems with the exchange, and even got an extra $16 item because I needed $8 to even out my exchange. So she wound off better off by doing this, which is fine by me because I'm happy to do business with those who provide good customer service. I'm only not giving 5 stars because of the initial experience. read more

They both enjoy the selection and the special attention they get from the staff.
