From the moment you step inside, there is an unmistakable warmth to the space not just from the ovens but from the overall vibe. It is bright, upbeat, and welcoming in a way that immediately puts you at ease and sets the tone for a great experience. We started with the Pop Tarts which deserve special recognition. These are not novelty pastries. They are elevated, flaky, buttery, and packed with flavor. The kind of treat that makes you pause mid bite and immediately realize this place takes its craft seriously. The breakfast burrito was equally impressive. Hearty, well balanced, and comforting without being heavy, it was clearly made with intention and quality ingredients rather than shortcuts. The waffles with blueberries and whipped cream were outstanding. Crisp on the outside and soft and airy on the inside, with fresh blueberries that added brightness and a whipped cream that felt light and indulgent rather than overly sweet. It was the kind of dish that manages to feel nostalgic and refined at the same time. Then came the pastries. Any attempt at restraint disappeared quickly. Everything in the case looked incredible and after tasting the first few items it became obvious that passing on anything would have been a mistake. We ended up buying far more pastries than planned simply because the quality across the board was that high. There were no weak links. What truly elevates Life Is Sweet beyond excellent food is the energy of the place. There is a positivity that fills the room and it is completely effortless. It makes you want to slow down, sit longer, and enjoy where you are. Whether you are stopping in for a quick breakfast or lingering with coffee and conversation, the environment naturally lifts your mood. Life Is Sweet is not just a bakery or breakfast spot. It is a place that genuinely enhances your day. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is inviting, and the experience stays with you well after you leave. This is a must visit in Danville and the kind of place you will find yourself thinking about long after the last pastry is gone.

I walked in and was immediately greeted by a young lady behind the counter. I decided to try a variety of cookies on display in the case. I went with- Oatmeal Raisin, Peanut Butter, Cookies 'n Cream, and Snickerdoodle. So 4 cookies, total $19. Good, fresh and tasty cookies. Not too sweet. Cafe was clean and neat. Lots of tables inside, and some outside. I will definitely return if I'm in downtown Danville again.

Honestly don't quite understand the amazing reviews of this coffee shop…read more We love downtown Walnut Creek and got excited to try out a new coffee spot but was really disappointed in every aspect of this shop.. it was quite busy for a Wednesday afternoon and when we walked in, there's one kiosk to order. No one was at the main register to take orders. The couple in front took forever to order so we stood next in line for a little under 10 min.. we noticed there were several people outside of the small shop waiting for their orders. As we were in line to offer, several people came inside and asked the employees at the counter about their order status. We waited 30 min for 2 iced drinks!! Someone ahead of us was still waiting on her ONE iced coffee. I ordered an iced tiramisu latte and my brother ordered a matcha. My drink tasted like watered down milk. My brother's drink didn't taste like proper matcha. It's a shame because the place and location is nice. But staff doesn't greet you or seem friendly or even approachable. And the drinks are not good. I didn't bother for any food/pastries.

I tried their pick up option online so I could order and pay without waiting. The app even tells when your order is ready. I decided to build my own sandwich and ordered a roast beef and turkey sandwich on Dutch crunch with everything. Picked it up to a friendly greeting and smiles from all of the staff. Took it home to eat and wow this was a huge sandwich and full of ingredients. Unfortunately I noticed quickly it was all turkey and no roast beef. They forgot my meat. I sure hope they get it right next time. I should say that even without my roast beef this was an incredible tasty sandwich. Every bite got better and better. I honestly can say I haven't had a deli sandwich as good as this in a very long time. Probably the best Dutch crunch roll ever and so soft with the perfect amount of crunch and sweetness on top. This sandwich was pure heaven and so big but I was hungry and wanted to go right back for another. Still one of the best sandwiches in the Bay Area and I'm so glad there finally in my hometown of Pleasanton. I'll be back soon and very often I guarantee! It's a must try if you're in the area or even if it's a bit of a drive. Tell em Scotty sent you.

I recommend calling into order at the deli or getting the app for the cafe and picking up. The parking is also pretty tight so if you can grab and go that is the best way to enjoy the meal. Although a workplace cafe, this is also open to non-working customers. Drinks were great - we ordered a Madeline latte and a coconut matcha with strawberry drizzle. Both drinks are a little bit on the sweet side (which we like), so be sure to request less sweet if you don't like your coffee too sweet. Sandwiches were ordered were also delicious and we're looking forward to trying other food next time. There are plenty of tables and seating with plugs which is a plus. We sat in the back and it was really cozy. There were upholstered chairs around small tables, more like a club than a coffee shop; I loved it! The front area is brighter and sleeker than the back; more like what I'm used to in a coffee shop. The pastries in the display case looked wonderful, but since we were going to lunch, none of us ordered anything other than coffee. I had a small cappuchino and I think others got cappuchinos as well, another small and two mediums. The small was $5 and the mediums were $6. The baristas were friendly and welcoming and made a great cappuchino. Highly recommend!

From the moment we walked up to the counter, the attitude was cold, irritated, and downright unfriendly. Ordering felt more like an inconvenience than a customer interaction. To top it off, nobody asked whether we wanted our food for here or to go, yet everything arrived packed in to-go containers. When we opened one of the boxes, it looked like our food had lost a fight with a tumble dryer. The presentation was so rough that we genuinely laughed because we couldn't believe it was being served that way. Good coffee and food can be forgiven for an occasional mistake, but poor customer service is much harder to overlook. Hopefully this was just an off day, because a little friendliness and a lot less attitude would go a long way.
